CHAPTER 7

It was Friday night and I rolled around on my bed lazily while scrolling down through my Insta newsfeed.

There was nothing much, though… 

As I was scrolling through bunch of photos of my friends and my favorite idols… but there is one photo immediately caught my eyes.

It was Kai's post, and he posted my candid picture of me typing something on my laptop with caption 'busy woman'. Aish Kai! When did he even take my picture?

How come I did not realize it? Even though, I must admit… I looked stunning in that picture… heh.

Oh well… talking about Kai, I couldn’t help myself from smiling, remembering about this morning.

The bell rang, signaling the end of school today. I quickly got out of the class and rushed to my locker to keep my books. I was so hungry and I wanted to go home fast to eat. I mentally slapped myself for not eating during break time just now.

"Annyeong Park Haerin!" Two girls, and I didn't even know who they were, waved at me brightly like I was their long lost child.

But considering that I was such a nice girl, I just smiled politely and waved back. The two girls giggled excitedly.

"See? She smiled at me! Whoa!" I just shrugged my shoulders and rushed to my locker. I took out my bag and I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned my head and immediately saw Kai smiling at me.

"Hi, cutie"

I blushed.

He laughed and pinched my cheek.

"Cute!"

I rubbed my cheek, while Kai cleared his throat.

"I want to ask you something.” He asked my permission, and I nodded in answer.  

“If you don't mind, let's go to Myeondong this Sunday?" My heart suddenly beat twice faster than usual, as I tried to not hyperventilate right there.

Pulling the best smile as I could, I answered him. "I don't mind and I would love to. Who else will join?" I asked, grinning like an idiot, which I learned from Sehun… of course.

Kai rubbed his neck nervously. "No one. Just the two of us. I mean like a date?"

Date? Was I dreaming right now? My butterflies fluttered around making my stomach churned in happiness.

This is the time that I'm waiting for! My crush asks me for a date! "But it's okay if you don't want. I can ask Kyungsoo-"

"No!" I blurted out. Kai stared at me with amusement written in his eyes.

 "I want it… as a date." I said as I hung my head low, staring at my fingernails, so I could hide my reddened cheeks.

However, Kai lifted up my chin and he smiled gently.

 "Thanks, Haerin-ah." I blushed again. Oh my panda! Someone please stop him! I almost forgot that I was actually hungry.

I was about to faint at that moment, if not for Chanyeol oppa came running to us. "Hi Kai!" he waved excitedly as he smiled with those creepy teeth of him showing again. Tsk! Crush huh?

Kai laughed and waved back.

"Kai, are you free this Sunday? Let's hangout together with my friends!" Chanyeol asked excitedly.

"No! He's busy." I said as I pushed him away from Kai.

"Why? Are you jealous?" Chanyeol snickered at me, in return of me kicking his shin.

"Yah! Why would I be jealous with you? Kai is busy, right Kai?" I winked at him, which made him laugh nervously. Clearly, shyness can be seen through his mien.

Kai just smiled sheepishly. "Hyung, I'm sorry... but I promise next time I'll join!" Chanyeol who was pouting immediately beamed brightly. "Okay! Next time okay?" Chanyeol bear-hugged Kai, which turned Kai to be short in breath.

"Enough, enough! Let's go home now! I'm hungry!" I whined as I pushed him away from Kai. I turned my head to Kai and he smiled at me as he showed a call me sign.

I tied my hair into messy ponytail and grab my phone and purse and went downstairs for breakfast. It's Saturday and I have to go to Sehun's house.

"Morning, Omma, and Appa" I said brightly as I sat beside Chanyeol who was still in his bed hair. My parents smiled lovingly at me.

"Morning too.” My parents pecked my cheeks.

"Hey kid, are you forgetting about me?" Chanyeol whined, as he showed his cheek to me.
