Chapter Forty Six
Kira felt hurt after seeing such a scene, even though it was just a kiss on the forehead, he was hurt by it. He ran back to the house and went upstairs to his room, “Uh?” both Rui and Chizu wondered as Kira slammed the door shut.
Kira looked around and he suddenly threw all the pillows off of the bed, he was angry and at the same time hurt. He was angry at himself because he was such a coward and not telling Mika his feelings fast, he was also hurt because of the scene he just saw. He messed his hair up and squatted on the floor as tears started to fall from his eyes.
Meanwhile, in Mika’s case, she was shocked when Yoshiro kissed her on the forehead, “Y-Yoshiro” she said then she smiled “Arigatou!” she added as she hugged him, Yoshiro smiled and said “You’re welcome... now go tell him what you feel about him, don’t be such a coward okay?” he said as he patted Mika’s back, Mika nodded her head while they were still hugging, she broke the hug and smiled at him then she ran back to the house
Yoshiro released a sigh and tried to smile while looking at Mika running back to the house...
Yoshiro’s POV
I can’t believe I’m letting go of you Mika... after all those years that I’ve kept my feelings for you, I ended up letting you go... but... Chizu’s right, even though we’ve been together for a few days and she’s always happy, when Kira-kun suddenly came, it’s like she’s back to her normal self
Flashback: I was left alone in the kitchen after Mika and Kira left me, I was in deep thoughts because I was still jealous seeing Mika and Kira sitting next to each other
Why does it feel like I want to let her go? I should be fighting for her to win her heart but I feel like I’ve been defeated already... I feel like I’m just fighting myself
This kind of feeling ... maybe I should give up on her? If I love her, I should set her free right? Since she already loves someone else... *sigh* that’s it... I’m going to tell her that I’m letting go of her.
I went outside and saw her sitting under the Sakura Tree, I approached her “Hey” I said “Hey~” she replied then she stood up “I’m sorry for what I’ve done a while ago” I apologized for calling her ‘My girl’ even though she isn’t and she just smiled at me. I need to tell it to her straightly, I need to get this whole thing done before it’s too late...
“You do realize how much I like you, right?” I said and she just kept quiet. “I’ve liked you for a long time, longer than Kira-kun and maybe, longer than you liked me. I always kept it to myself because I didn’t want to destroy our friendship but now, I felt like I need to let you know how much I like you... how I love you” I added and still, she just kept quiet. “Mika... I love you but... I need to let you go” I said, she looked at me with a confused face, “From now on, I will stop liking you. I know this sounds silly but this is what I decided to do... I know how much you love Kira-kun but you just can’t tell him your real feelings... and I feel like I’m also giving you a hard time because you have to choose between me and Kira-kun that’s why I decided to stop so that you can just choose Kira-kun” I added, she still stared at me, it’s like she wanted to tell me something but she can’t. I just smiled at her and then gave her a kiss good bye on her forehead, she was shocked but later on, smiled and said “Arigatou” she hugged me and I hugged her back “You’re welcome... now go tell him what you feel about him, don’t be such a coward okay?” I told her and she nodded her head
-End of FLASHBACK-
*sigh* I guess she really does love him even though she used to like me, that was just before. Mika... if things won’t work out between you and Kira-kun, I’ll be here for you okay?
-END of POV-
Mika went inside the house to look for Kira in the living room but he wasn’t around, “Chizu, where’s Kira?” she asked as she approached Chizu “He’s in the guest room” Chizu answered, Mika thanked her then she went upstairs to the guest room, she was about to knock when suddenly, the door opened
“Uh?” she wondered as she saw Kira in front of her, Kira saw her but then he just looked away and went downstairs “Eh? Kira!” Mika called as she went after him.
They arrived downstairs and Kira went near Chizu “Uh?” she wondered, “Thank You for letting me stay here, I appreciate your kindness...” he said “You’re welcome?” said Chizu “Wait, what’s going on?” asked Rui “I’m going back to Tokyo, I think there is no need for me to stay here anymore” Kira replied as he looked at Mika “Uh?” Mika wondered.
Kira bowed to them then he left the house, “Yah Kira!” Mika proclaimed as she ran after him “Uh?” both Chizu and Rui wondered as they looked at each other
Mika went outside and ran after Kira, “Where do you think you’re going!?” she called, “Back to Tokyo” Kira replied as he turned to her, “W-What? B-but you can’t leave, not yet!” said Mika, “And why is that?” said Kira “Because... Because” said Mika, “Come one Mika... tell him, tell him to it straightly, don’t be such a coward!” Mika said to herself while she was shaking and clenching her fists
“I... I...” she said, “Mika...” said Kira, she looked up to him and he went near her, “Tomorrow will be your last day in Tokyo and on the next day, you’ll be leaving... tell me, why did you quit?” asked Kira “Q-Quit?” Mika wondered, “That’s right, he still has no idea that it was all a misunderstanding” Mika said to herself
“I didn’t quit” Mika replied “Uh?” Kira wondered, “I didn’t quit okay? It was just a misunderstanding...” she added. “Still... you left didn’t you? You never said anything that you’ll be going on a vacation...” said Kira “Why? You’re not my boyfriend or something for me to ask permission if I’m going to some place” said Mika, the words ‘You’re not my boyfriend’ somehow made an impact to Kira, “She’s right... I’m not her boyfriend so why am I acting like we’re in a relationship or something? GAH! What the heck is happening? I’m confused” he thought then “Kira?” Mika wondered and Kira faced her
“Mika... I’ll see you tomorrow maybe... bye” he said then he turned around and left, “Kira!” Mika yelled but he didn’t look back, Mika wanted to run after him but she couldn’t move, “Uh? Kira!” she called again but still, Kira continued to leave... “Kira... YOU’RE SUCH AN EGGHEAD!” she yelled which made Kira pause for a while, “Uh?” he wondered then he forced a smile, “I aren’t I?” he said to himself then he continued to leave.
“Kira... you egghead” said Mika as tears started to fall from her eyes, suddenly... “Shhh, don’t cry” Chizu said as she suddenly hugged Mika “C-Chizu?” she said “I know it hurts to see him leave but hey, you’re going back to Tokyo tomorrow so I guess you’ll just have to wait for tomorrow for you to confess to him” said Chizu and Mika slowly nodded her head, “Omo, I wonder why girls are always slow in confessing” said Rui “And I wonder why guys are so stubborn whenever a girl would try to confess her feelings to him (=.=)” Chizu responded and Rui just pouted.
Yoshiro was watching them from behind, he felt sorry for Mika because she was too slow, though he didn’t get it why Kira decided to leave all of the sudden without telling them the real reason, he released a sigh.
They went inside and Chizu decided to let Mika rest in her room, she was looking pale and she cried a lot. “Stupid Kira, why did he suddenly leave like that? I knew it, he can’t be trusted! He asked me to give him a chance to tell Mika his feelings but instead, he leaves... does he have mental problems!?” Chizu proclaimed, “I don’t get it either, I thought he was going to confess but then he suddenly came back, packed his things and left... maybe he’s actually gay?” Rui said as he tried to joke around but Chizu and Yoshiro just gave him a glare and he kept quiet.
In Mika’s case, she was lying on her bed and staring at the ceiling wondering why Kira suddenly left
Mika’s POV
Why did Kira suddenly leave? What happened? And why did he acted that way? Did I do something wrong to him? It’s really bothering me right now... When I heard that he went missing, I was really worried but then I found him in front of the doorstep... he went after me, I couldn’t believe it. I felt shocked and at the same time happy... Kira... he went after me... from that time I thought that he went after me because he wanted to tell me something... I thought he was going to confess to me but... he suddenly left... he left as if... he forgot about everything... he is such an egghead! Getting lost and all, coming after me... but... he just left... ARGSH! Hasegawa Kira... baka...
-END of POV-
She hugged her pillow tight and continued to think about Kira... she couldn’t help but worry about him
Back at Tokyo, “I wonder how Kira’s doing?” asked Jin “He said that maybe he’ll come back by tomorrow, maybe he’s coming back with Mika-chan... I’ll be happy to see those two together ^^” said Yuki and the others nodded their heads, “Wait, after tomorrow... Mika-chan will leave, we should throw her a farewell party!” Miharu beamed, “You’re right, that way she’ll leave with a smile on her face” Hiro added, “Eh? So Mika-chan’s still going to leave even if Kira already confessed his feelings for her?” said Daisuke “Looks like it” Hiro responded, “Argsh, tsk2x” said Daisuke and they started with the planning, suddenly...
“I’m back” Kira said as he entered the apartment which shocked the others, all of them were staring at him as if he were a ghost, “What?” he said as he raised his brow “WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING HERE!?” all of them proclaimed, “Eh? I live here too you know” said Kira, “We mean, why are you here? I thought you won’t be back for a day or two?” asked Yuki “Uh” Kira said then he kept quiet, “So how did it go? Are you and Mika-chan like a couple now? Speaking of Mika-chan, where is she?” asked Daisuke but Kira just kept quiet, they started to feel like something wasn’t right, “Kira?” Miharu wondered but then Kira walked towards his room, “I’m going to rest first, I’m tired” he said then he went inside and shut the door closed
“Uh?” they wondered as they looked at each other with worried faces.
On the other hand, at the Black and White Café
“Welcome to our- uh?” Jun wondered as he saw a very familiar face in front of him, he stared at her in awe “I-is something wrong?” she asked, “Y-You’re-” “I came to see Takashi-kun, is he here?” she asked and Jun nodded his head, then... “I told you not to call me Takashi-kun, it makes me feel... old” Syuu said as he came out of his office, “Uh? Heh, hai~ Syuu-kun” the girl replied and Syuu smiled at her, then
“B-Boss! Why is Takezawa Konoka here in our coffee shop!?” Jun inserted, “Oh, she’s my fiancée” Syuu responded, “EH!?” Jun’s jaw dropped when he heard Syuu saying that Konoka was his fiancée which by the way, made her blush.
Syuu decided to let her sit down and he sat in front of her, “So... you wanted to tell me something?” he asked, “Actually... I just wanted to ask if...” “I have any news about Kira-kun?” Syuu continued and Konoka shyly nodded her head, Syuu smiled and said “Turns out he actually went after Mika-chan... I guess he’s going to confess to her already” said Syuu “Uh, sou” Konoka said in a somehow, sad tone “Yah, we’re in my shop which is filled with happiness, don’t let your sad aura in here!” Syuu proclaimed like a little kid that made Konoka giggle; he smiled when he heard her giggle and she noticed it
“Uh?” she wondered, “I bet you’re hungry, I’ll go get something for you to eat” Syuu said as he stood up, “No need, I’m about to leave anyway” Konoka said as she got up but then Syuu pushed her to sit back down, “You’re already here so it’s useless if you’re just going to leave and won’t even taste the food here” said Syuu “Uh” said Konoka, “Don’t worry, the food will be ready in just a jiffy” Syuu added then he went to the kitchen, Konoka slightly blushed and she suddenly felt her heart beating fast “Uh?” she wondered then she smiled.
Back at Boyfriend’s apartment, Yuki decided to check on Kira. He slowly opened the door and saw Kira sleeping, “He must be really tired” he said to himself, he was about to close the door when suddenly, he noticed something shining on Kira’s desk “uh?” he wondered as he slowly went in and was surprised to see the ‘shining thing’
“M-Mika-chan’s necklace?” he wondered then he looked at Kira who was still sleeping
“No way... if this is still here than that means... he didn’t confess!?” he added.
