[RECAP]

In Kira’s case, on the way back to where the guys were, he passed by Syuu’s room and noticed that the door was slightly open, he looked inside and saw Syuu and Mika “Uh?” he wondered.

Inside, “Why did you let Hana-chan leave?” asked Mika “I need to tell you something” Syuu replied in a nervous way “Uh?” Mika wondered, Syuu turned to her and said

“Please be my girlfriend.”

“EH!?” Mika cried.

“Uh?!” said Kira.

Chapter Thirty One

Both Mika and Kira were shocked of what Syuu said.

Is he really like this? Does he even think before he talks? First he told Mika that he likes her and now, he wants her to be his girlfriend? –This is what Kira feels right now. He didn’t bother to listen to the rest of the conversation, he was afraid that he’ll find out the answer by just eavesdropping, it will hurt him more. He went back to the others were, trying to put on his usual facial expression but Yuki sensed that something was up.

Back in Mika’s case, “S-Syuu-nii, y... you” she stuttered, “Perhaps I’ve said it in a wrong way” said Syuu “Uh?” Mika wondered, “Please... pretend to be my girlfriend” he said. “Eh?” Mika was still confused so Syuu decided to explain to her what really happened...

“My grandfather called me the other day and asked me if I already had a girlfriend, I asked him why and he said that he wants me to go to a marriage interview. We both fought for it for a few minutes then I said that I have a girlfriend then he said that I’ll bring her to my half brother’s birthday party, this Friday. Mika, please pretend to be my girlfriend at least until my grandfather leaves for Canada” he said

“But I don’t get it, why did you have to lie to him?” asked Mika
“I’m going to a marriage interview and the next outcome of that is I will be engaged and soon, married to a girl whom I don’t even love. Do you want that to happen to you?” said Syuu
“Uh, marrying someone you don’t love is painful... fine, I’ll do it” said Mika
“Really? You’ll do it?” he asked and Mika nodded her head in reply. “But only because I don’t want to see my best friend ending up marrying someone he doesn’t love. Remember, you still have to reserve that necklace of yours for your special someone” she added.
 “Uhh, yeah... heh, thanks again Mika... but please, don’t tell anyone about this plan” said Syuu
“Sure thing, you can count on me Syuu-nii!” Mika proclaimed and Syuu smiled at her.

“Even though we’ll be pretending, I’m going to show you my true feelings...” he thought.

Mika went outside of the room and when she got out, Kira immediately stood up “Uh?” she wondered, “U-uh, let’s go” he said then he walked ahead. “Uh?” the others wondered.

For the next two days, Kira was acting strange; he really wanted to talk to Mika about what she replied to Syuu’s “proposal” but he would always feel nervous and he’s afraid that Mika might have said yes. During lunch time “Oi Kira!” Mika called but Kira ignored her, “Uh?” she wondered, then “Yuki-kun, do you know what’s up with Kira?” she asked as Yuki passed by her. “Uh, he’s still not talking to you?” he asked and Mika nodded her head. “Don’t worry Mika-chan, he’ll talk to you somehow” he said and Mika just gave him an “Okay” look.

            After Boyfriend’s performance on stage, “Yosh, why don’t we go out and celebrate!” Daisuke proclaimed, then “Mind if we join you?” a group of girls said as they went near them “Ah~ 6RG(Six Royal Girls)!” Jin proclaimed as they saw six tall and beautiful girls walking towards them “Hi guys, it’s been a long time (^^)” their leader, Ayaka said. “Ayaka-chan is still beautiful as ever” said Jin “Thank you Jin-kun” Ayaka replied, “Psst, Kira... isn’t that Konoka-chan?” Miharu whispered as both of them looked at Konoka and she waved at them “Uh?” Mika wondered as she caught a glimpse of Kira waving back at Konoka. “Hmmm” she said as she slightly felt jealous, “Well what do you say?” said Ayaka “The more the merrier, right Aniki?” said Jin “M-hm, let’s go” said Daisuke but then

“Sorry guys, I can’t come” said Mika; “Uh?” the others wondered. “I’m meeting someone, see you guys tomorrow, take care!” Mika proclaimed then she immediately left, “Uh, Mika-chan’s not coming with us?” said Miharu “Don’t worry, we have six beautiful girls with us right?” said Jin and the guys gave him a glare, Kira was a bit worried because Mika might have gone out to see Syuu, the one named Konoka seemed a bit worried for Kira
            “Who is that girl? Does Kira-kun like her?” she asked herself.

In Mika’s place, she arrived at the park and saw Syuu waiting for her on the bench, she decided to surprise him from behind; she slowly walked towards him and... “BOO!” Syuu proclaimed as he turned to Mika and she was really surprised, “Yah, how did you know?” she said, “Please, we’ve known each other for three years already” he replied “Heh, so where are we going?” asked Mika “Out for dinner, then after that we’re going for a walk near the river” Syuu replied. “Eh? That sounds like a date” said Mika “Well, you are my girlfriend (^^)” he said as he placed his arms around Mika and it surprised her that it made her jump

“Sorry about that Syuu-nii, I’m not used to being ‘touched’ by guys” she said, “Uh, it’s okay... why don’t we hold hands first for a start?” he suggested, Mika suddenly blushed and she was shy to reply so she just nodded her head. Syuu then held her hand and the two of them walked towards the restaurant, Syuu was pretty happy that time. Meanwhile, in Boyfriend’s case...

“Kira-kun, do you want to eat this?” Konoka asked as she offered food to Kira, “No thanks” Kira replied, “Uh” said Konoka then she felt a bit shy. “Yah Kira, accept the food” Jin whispered, “But-” “Accept it” Jin insisted, Kira released a sigh and grabbed the food from Konoka then Konoka smiled. “Hihihihi, Konoka-chan seems happy ^^” he said, suddenly Daisuke hit him on the head “Ouch!” Jin cried, “Baka, you shouldn’t force Kira to eat what he doesn’t want to eat” said Daisuke and the others were shocked of what he said. “Aniki’s being nice to Kira?” Miharu wondered, then “By the way, who was that girl that was with you a while ago?” asked Ayaka “That was Ootori Mika, the one who edited our Music Video; she’s also the temporary assistant manager” Daisuke replied, “Sou... wait, she made your music video?” asked Ayaka and the guys nodded their heads. “Hey, I’ve heard of her, she was the one who made some Rookie groups rise to fame because of the Music Videos she made” Mugi, the rapper of the group, said. “Really? Then let’s suggest our manager to work with her?” said Ayaka then, “I’m afraid you can’t do that...” Tanaka inserted, “Uh?” all of them wondered as they turned to Tanaka
“Why?” asked Mugi “Because, after working with us, she’s leaving” Tanaka replied “EH?!” the guys proclaimed, Kira was shocked of what he heard that he paused while he was eating
“Mika-chan told me that she’s going to Paris after working with us” Tanaka added
“But I wonder why she never told us about it” said Yuki, then...

“Kira, where are you going?” asked Miharu “Out” Kira replied. “Uh?” the others wondered then Kira started to leave. Meanwhile, after dinner Syuu and Mika went for a walk near the river bank

While walking, they were talking about a lot of things, Mika even told Syuu about her going to Paris after working for Boyfriend

“That sounds like a great idea” said Syuu “Really? But I think I should just stay here” said Mika “Mika, remember what I told you before? Always follow your dreams, you know you can always come back here and visit us ^^” said Syuu “You’re right, thanks Syuu-nii” said Mika “Hey, anything for my ‘girlfriend’ ^^” said Syuu “Argsh, you like to use that word don’t you? I bet your past girlfriends got really irritated because of that” said Mika “Hmm, they would’ve but you see, I’ve never had a girlfriend before” Syuu whispered “EH?” Mika wondered as she turned to him with a SERIOUSLY?! Look, “Heh, shocking right?” said Syuu and Mika nodded her head. “There are a lot of girls out there but aren’t just my type...” he added, “Sou...” said Mika “But how come I never knew that you never had a girlfriend?” she murmured. “That’s because you never asked” said Syuu “Tch” said Mika and Syuu laughed at her. They continued walking when suddenly “Mika...” said Kira “Uh?” both of them wondered as they saw Kira in front of them

“Kira-kun” said Syuu “What are you doing here?” asked Mika “I was just walking around” Kira replied then he noticed that Mika and Syuu were holding hands “Uh... oh” he said as he looked away, Mika then realized that she was still holding hands with Syuu, she suddenly let go “Oh no, it’s not what you think it is” she said but then Syuu held her hand again “We’re together” he said, “Uh” Mika turned to him then she remembered what Syuu said about not telling anyone about their pretend relationship. “Oh... right” Mika said as she looked down on the ground, Kira tried to control himself from his emotions then he faced them with a smile, “Congratulations” he said. “Thank you” said Syuu and Mika just kept quiet, she felt a little bit bad about Kira seeing him and Syuu together but then she thought “Nah, he’s not jealous” “Kira, we’re on our way back to the Apartment already, do you want to join us?” asked Mika “Uh” said Kira as he looked at them but when he saw the two holding hands, he looked away and said

“No thanks, I think I’m going to walk around for a while” “Well okay then, Mika let’s go. Hana’s waiting for me back at the apartment” said Syuu “Uh hai” Mika replied and the two continued their way, but when Mika passed by Kira, her heart started beating fast again “Uh?” she wondered. She looked back at Kira who was still standing at the same place and he lowered his head “Kira...” she said to herself.

Kira’s POV

So she said yes huh? Of course she would say YES, she probably likes him too I mean they’ve been friends for three years already. Heh, Hasegawa Kira... you’re such an idiot... you were even hoping that she would say No. Heh, I can’t believe this, I can’t even move, seeing them being together and holding hands, is this painful already? Argsh, this is why I hate falling in love, especially when it was love at first sight. Darn it, I even feel like I want to cry already ARGH!! Be a man Kira, don’t cry... don’t cry... *sigh*Mika... and I thought that you could possibly have feelings for me, heh. I’m such an idiot, it’s my fault... I should have shown you how I really feel before; I shouldn’t have made you irritated all the time but... I can’t blame myself; this is the first time I actually surrendered myself to love. ARGH! This kind of stuff is really hard! >_<
-END of POV-

Kira faked a smile to himself, he really felt like crying but he prevented himself from doing that. He continued walking and thinking about some things.

When Mika and Syuu arrived at the apartment, “I’ll see you tomorrow then” said Syuu and Mika nodded her head, she was about to enter her apartment when “Uh, Mika” said Syuu, Mika turned to him but suddenly, Syuu hugged her. “U-Uh?” she was surprised of what Syuu did. “Thanks again for doing this, you’re such a great friend” he whispered while hugging her, Mika smiled and said “You’re welcome.” Syuu released her from the hug then he said “good night” and went inside his apartment. Mika went inside hers and she decided to lie down on couch; she turned her TV on but wasn’t paying any attention to the show, she was thinking about what happened a while ago at the Riverbank when Kira saw her with Syuu. She also remembered what Kira looked like when they left, he was pretty down and it bothered Mika a lot.

Mika’s POV

Why was Kira like that? Is he okay? Why do I somehow feel that he’s *blush*jealous? But that’s impossible right? Tch, he doesn’t even like me. He keeps on annoying me and it irritates me a lot. He says things that hurt me sometimes but I don’t show it to him. But... I also don’t understand why he would help me most of the time *remembers how Kira is always there when she needs help* ARGGHH!! I really don’t understand this sort of thing! I wish Chizune was here, she’s the one I can really talk to about this kind of stuff. Argsh, Kira... it’s hard for me to not like you, I really don’t get it. This is the first time I’m fighting with myself whether I should like you or not... why is love so difficult? Sheesh...
-END of POV-

The next day, on the way to the Dance Studio, Mika saw Keita and Satoshi and decided to approach them, “Keita!” she called as she went near them “Mika-nee? Long time no see!” Keita proclaimed, “M-hm!” Mika responded then she faced Satoshi who was looking a bit nervous “Hey Satoshi~” she said with a smile on her face and Satoshi smiled back at her “What brings you here Mika-nee?” Keita asked “I’m on my way to work. By the way, I wasn’t able to thank the two of you for helping me the other time” Mika replied “It was no problem at all Mika-nee but... I’m really curious, are you... dating Kira-kun?” asked Keita and Mika was shocked with his question “What? Me dating that egghead?” she said “I wish” she thought. “No way!” she proclaimed. “Uh really? That’s too bad, you two seem like a cute couple” said Keita and Mika slightly blushed, “Then... you must be dating someone else right?” asked Keita, “Uh” said Mika then she remembered Syuu “But that was only a pretend date” she said to herself, she didn’t know what to reply to Keita’s question

“Well I guess we’ll just have to see your date during Reunion ^^” said Keita “Reunion?” Mika wondered “Didn’t you hear? There will be a Class Reunion held here in Tokyo and our batch will be combined to yours so I guess we’ll see each other again ^^” said Keita, “Really? Rui didn’t mention any reunion when he came here, by the way, when will it be held?” asked Mika “On the first day of March at Tokyo University’s Gym” Keita answered “Sou, a day before my contract will end” Mika said to herself “Well guys, I’ll see you soon, I need to go now BYE~” she said then she left. “Mika-nee changed a lot hasn’t she? She’s prettier now and looks like she’s having fun here ^^” said Keita “Uh, umm” said Satoshi. “Tch, if you hadn’t let her go then you could have had her. Sheesh” said Keita and Satoshi just kept quiet.

            In Mika’s case, when she opened the door in the practice room, she suddenly saw Kira in front of her “Uh?” she wondered, Kira noticed her but then he looked away, he let her pass through and after that, he left the room. Mika was wondering what happened to Kira, she went near the other guys and greeted them good morning, but then...

“Mika-chan, you didn’t tell us that you and Takashi-kun were already dating!” Jin proclaimed. “EH!?” Mika was shocked to hear that from him, Hiro immediately covered Jin’s mouth “Sorry about that” he said. “Uh” said Mika, he looked at the other members and they seemed down “What’s wrong?” she asked, “When did you two start dating?” asked Daisuke “Uh...” said Mika “Was it yesterday? He’s the one that you had to meet right? That’s why you couldn’t join us for dinner” he added and Mika kept quiet. She wants to tell them the truth but she can’t, she already promised Syuu.

“Why do you guys even care if I date Syuu-nii or not, it’s up to me right?” she said

“But I don’t get it Mika-chan, why him? I mean, why can’t it be Kira?!” Daisuke proclaimed and Mika was puzzled why he said that

“Aniki!” said Yuki as he tried to stop Daisuke from telling Mika something

“What do you mean?” asked Mika

“Mika-chan, you still don’t realize that Kira likes you don’t you?” he said

“W-What?” said Mika

“Kira likes you!” Daisuke proclaimed and at the same time, Kira just entered the room, he dropped his bottled water after hearing what Daisuke said. All of them turned to him and they were shocked “Kira...” said Miharu.

Mika slowly turned around and saw Kira and they were both shocked.
