Chapter Forty Seven
Back at the country side, while Mika was packing her things, Chizu noticed something...
“Uh? Where’s your necklace?” she asked, “You’ve just noticed it? It’s been missing since last Christmas” Mika replied as she was fixing her things, “Eh? And you never found it?” asked Chizu and Mika nodded her head in reply “Then that means... someday, somehow, you’ll meet your destined man!” Chizu proclaimed and Mika turned to her with a half smile painted on her face, “Maybe... maybe not” she added then she continued to fix her things
“Yah, why are you being like that? If your destined man comes and he’s a lot better and good looking than that Kira and you won’t take him, then I will!” Chizu proclaimed, “What about Rui?” asked Mika, “Someone else can have him” Chizu replied which made Mika slightly chuckle and continued to pack, Chizu released a sigh and sat on the bed, “Are you expecting that Kira-kun will be your destined man?” she asked which made Mika pause for a while and kept quiet. “Heh, I’m right...” Chizu added, “Come on tell me, let it all out” she said, Mika released a sigh and sat next to her
“You’re right... I was expecting that Kira was my ‘destined guy’ there, I said it” said Mika, “Uh... why did you suddenly say that? Did the signs happen?” asked Chizu “I don’t know but, when I saw him... the first time I actually saw him, I felt... butterflies in my stomach” Mika responded, “So? The first sign always happens whenever you see your crushes” said Chizu “But Chizu... two days after I saw him, I bumped into him again... it was during Christmas and after I bumped into him, my necklace was lost, but it would be impossible if he found it right? I mean, we bumped into each other at a crowded street” said Mika, “What else?” asked Chizu “And... he... I mean we... kissed” Mika replied which made Chizu go O[]o
“YOU WHAT!?” she added, “It was an accident I tell you but still... *blush* he stole my first kiss” Mika said in a low voice, Chizu was lost for words, she was still shocked about the whole ‘kiss’ thing, she never expected for such a thing to happen to her beloved Mika, then
“Yah Chizu! Get in here, your mess is all over the floor!” Rui proclaimed, “O-okay” she responded as she stood up “I’ll talk to you later” she said to Mika and Mika nodded her head then Chizu left the room.
Mika released another sigh and she continued to pack. The evening was very quiet, Mika didn’t want to talk about anything at all, the three figured that it was because of Kira since he left all of the sudden, “Tomorrow... you’re going to see him again and I hope that you’ll be able to tell him what you feel” Yoshiro said to himself as he looked at Mika quietly eating then he released a sigh
THE NEXT DAY...
Mika arrived at her apartment, it was pretty quiet, it’s been a week since she’s gone and she feels like she’s in a different place. She settled her things in her room, she did the laundry and all and after that, she sat down on her couch thinking of what to do next, then she remembered that she still needs to clear things up with Tanaka-san and the whole ‘quitting’ issue, she decided to call her but she wasn’t answering
“Hmm, maybe she’s busy with the guys” she said to herself then she leaned back on her couch thinking what to do, then she remembered Syuu
“I’ll just go visit Syuu-nii at the café!” she proclaimed as she stood up, grabbed her bag and left.

At the café, “You sure you want to do this?” asked Syuu and Konoka nodded her head, “Are you really sure?” he asked and once more, Konoka nodded her head and said “I’m willing to do this” Syuu felt a little bit nervous, he released a sigh and said “Very well...” as he looked at Konoka in a serious way, Konoka looked prepared then Syuu started to say something...
“All you have to do is press the button here and the cash register will open, make sure that you give the customer his exact change and always check if the customer is giving you a fake bill or not” he said and Konoka nodded her head, “Also, don’t forget to greet them every time they enter the shop, we should always welcome our customers” Syuu added and Konoka gave him an ‘aye-aye captain’ pose “Well then, I guess you’re ready” he said and Konoka smiled at him then he left her with the cash register...
“Heh, who knew a star like her is also interested in doing these kinds of jobs” Jun said as he went near Syuu “Uh, m-hm. Looks like Konoka-chan is that type of star” Syuu responded, Jun noticed that he was smiling and he gave him a grin, “What?” Syuu wondered, “You know what boss, you and Konoka-chan look cute together, I’m glad that your parents set the two of you up” Jun responded and Syuu was speechless, “Well boss, I hope you take good care of her. The two of you are definitely made for each other” Jun added as he patted Syuu’s back then he went back to work and Syuu just smirked.
Konoka was doing a good job in handling the cash register and it seems like a lot of people suddenly ate at the café because they recognized Konoka easily...
“Thank you for coming sir!” Konoka proclaimed and the old man smiled at her as he left, Konoka was cleaning the table when suddenly, she heard someone enter the shop
“Welcome to- uh?” she wondered as she saw Mika in front of her, Mika noticed her and was surprised herself “K-Konoka-chan?” she wondered. Moments later...
“Here you go, the usual” Syuu said as he placed Mika’s order at her table, “Thanks” said Mika and Syuu smiled at her “I’m glad that you’re back, how was the countryside?” he asked, “It was... nice and refreshing, it made me forget a lot of things” Mika replied, “Good for you (^^)” said Syuu then Mika gave him a half smile, “What’s wrong? Did something happen? By the way, I heard that Kira-kun went after you” said Syuu and Mika suddenly kept quiet “Yah, did something happen?” he asked but still Mika didn’t respond, instead she turned to Konoka who was busy taking the other customer’s order
“What is Konoka-chan doing here by the way?” she asked changing the topic, “Oh... I forgot, you still don’t know” said Syuu “She’s... my fiancée” he added and Mika’s eyes widened when she heard what Syuu said “F-For real!?” she exclaimed and Syuu nodded his head, “B-But how did that happen? I mean, aren’t Konoka-chan and Kira in a relationship right now and how did you... I mean why did you say yes to the whole arrangement thing all of the sudden?” Mika asked. She was confused about the sudden happenings; it has only been a week since she left yet a lot of things happened already...
“Uh, you still haven’t heard have you?” asked Syuu “Heard what?” Mika wondered, “Kira-kun announced his break-up with Konoka-chan the day you left for the countryside” said Syuu and Mika was so shocked of what she heard, “W-W-What?” she stuttered, this time she was really confused then...
“Are you okay Mika-chan?” Konoka asked as she approached Mika then Mika turned to her, “You guys broke up?” she asked, “Actually, Kira-kun broke up with me...” Konoka replied in a low voice, “He’s definitely an egghead” Mika murmured as she stood up and left, “Mika-chan!” Konoka called but Mika was already gone, then “Let her be, I know where she’s going” said Syuu “Uh” said Konoka then she kept quiet.
In Mika’s case, she was trying to call Tanaka-san but still, she wouldn’t answer so she decided to call Chizu
*Phone Convo*
Chizu: Hello?
Mika: Yah, Kira broke up with Konoka-chan during the same day we left for the countryside!
Chizu: Uh, you finally found out huh...
Mika: Wait, you knew!?
Chizu: Kind of, I’m sorry for not telling you right away. I was worried that if I told you, you-
Mika: Look, I don’t care about that anymore okay, I can’t believe I’ve been such an idiot!
[Insert]Rui: You’ve always been an idiot~
Mika: Am I on speaker?
Chizu: Yep, sorry again T3T
Mika: Argsh, that doesn’t matter, listen, I have to find Kira now as in now, can you help me call the other guys? Tanaka-san won’t pick up
Chizu: Right now? Sure, good thing I have their numbers from Takashi-kun, I’ll start calling them now, bye~ *hangs up*
*END of Phone Convo*
Then Mika started to roam around looking for them while Chizu started to call them.
In Boyfriend’s case, the reason why any of them weren’t picking up was that they left their mobile phones inside the van and Tanaka-san was busy talking to some sponsors. The six of them were inside the dressing room waiting for Tanaka-san to get back, it was pretty quiet. Jin wanted to joke around but he noticed that the atmosphere was... awkward, of course they all looked at Kira since he was the only one acting strange all of the sudden
“What?” he said, “You never told us what happened” said Miharu and the rest nodded their heads while Yuki kept quiet. “I don’t think I need to tell you what happened, it’s pretty obvious” said Kira “Uh... K-Kira?” Daisuke wondered then Kira stood up and left the room then they all turned to Yuki
“Yuki, do you know what happened?” asked Hiro and Yuki nodded his head, “If you guys are guessing that Kira didn’t confess... then you’re right” he added and the others suddenly kept quiet.
Kira went inside the van to check his phone, “Uh?” he wondered as he received 5 miscalls from an unknown number and one text message from another unknown number, he decided to read it

Kira-kun, this is Yoshiro... if you’re not busy tonight, can you come to Tokyo University at around 7PM? I want to talk to you about something. Please, do come. See you –Yoshiro
------
“Uh?” Kira wondered and he released a sigh.
Back in Mika’s case, she continued to roam around, she went to the places where Boyfriend usually go to but she didn’t see them, then her phone rang
*Phone Convo*
Mika: Chizu! Where are they?
Chizu: Mika, gomen, but none of them would answer, I even called Kira-kun five times but he wouldn’t pick up
Mika: Eh? Argsh, I have to tell it to Kira right now, I don’t have any time left for tomorrow, I have an early flight and they’ll be on a music program by that time... so I need to talk to him right now
Chizu: I’ll continue to call them, but Mika don’t forget our reunion tonight okay?
Mika: Yeah, don’t worry I’ll go okay?
Chizu: You better; you’re one of the participants to give their testimonies about how their lives changed after college
Mika: WHAT!?
Chizu: Wear something nice, bye~ *hangs up*
*END of Phone Convo*
“Yah Chizu!” Mika proclaimed but she already hung up, “Argsh... I’m already having a hard time trying to confess my feelings and now, I have to worry about another speech, argsh... can this day get any worse?!” she murmured then she released a sigh and continued her way
After their performance in ‘Hello Tokyo’ the guys headed back to the apartment
“I want to visit Mika-chan already, she’s arrived right?” asked Miharu and the others nodded their heads while Kira kept quiet, then “Uh? 10 missed calls from an unknown number?” Hiro wondered as he looked at his phone, the others checked their phones as well and they had the same thing with Hiro
Then, “Uh, Mika-chan called me 15 times and I wasn’t able to answer it” Tanaka said as she checked her phone as well, “Eh?” the others wondered, “Call Mika-chan” said Jin and Daisuke started to dial Mika’s number but...
Sorry, the number you have dialed is either busy at the moment or out of coverage area, please try your call later~
“Darn it, she’s busy” said Daisuke “Let’s just head to her apartment” said Yuki and the others nodded.
In Mika’s case, “Darn it!” she mumbled as her battery got drained, “Stupid2x, why didn’t I charge it this morning!?” she added as she headed back to her apartment.
She arrived there and was shocked to see Chizu “C-Chizu?” she wondered, “Yah, I told you to come home early so that you can prepare! Do you know what time it is?” said Chizu, Mika looked at her watch and it was already 5:00PM “Oh shoot, I’ve been running around for a long time” she murmured, “The party starts at 6:30PM and you are still sweaty and not ready” said Chizu “But I-” “No buts, now go get a shower while I’ll prepare your dress” Chizu proclaimed as she pushed Mika to the bathroom, Mika released a sigh and started taking a bath.
45 minutes later, “Make-up is all done and now, time for the dress” Chizu said as she stood up and went to get the dress, Mika looked at herself in the mirror and noticed the sad expression she was wearing, “I can’t believe I’m wearing make-up yet I still look pale...” she said then she released a sigh, suddenly...
“Here it is~” Chizu said as she presented the dress to Mika, Mika looked at it and she gave Chizu a poker face, “What? You don’t like it?” asked Chizu, “Uh... it’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just... *sigh* never mind, just give me 10 minutes to prepare and I’ll be ready” said Mika and Chizu nodded her head then she left Mika inside her room to prepare while Chizu waited at the living room...
After 10 minutes, Mika opened the door and Chizu smiled when she saw her, “That’s my Mika” she said as she looked at Mika who was wearing a Green Blue Frills Shoulder dress with a white braid belt and her hair was straight with full bangs and she wore a white headband with cute little flowers on the side,

“Looks like you’re ready, let’s go?” said Chizu and Mika nodded her head then the two of them went outside since Rui was waiting for them, they got on the car and drove off.
Moments later, “We’re here” Jin said as the driver parked the car, the five of them quickly got off and instead of going to their apartment, they went to Mika’s apartment, Kira released a sigh looking at them entering the building, then
“Aren’t you going to visit her?” asked Tanaka “Uh” said Kira then, his phone beeped

“I still have to go somewhere” he said to Tanaka then he went inside their apartment. The guys rushed to Mika’s apartment and when they got there, Daisuke knocked on the door but there was no answer, “Uh?” he wondered, he knocked again but still no answer, then
“Argsh, it’s their reunion tonight remember?” said Jin “Of course! No wonder she’s not home, argsh... what are we supposed to do? She has an early flight tomorrow and we also have a schedule by that time” said Hiro “I guess, we’ll just have to find ways to see her off” said Daisuke and the others kept quiet.
At Tokyo University, Mika was so happy to see her other batch mates who came and she was surprised because some already had families, “Aww, what a cute baby girl!” she proclaimed as she was carrying the baby of one of her batch mates, then “Omo, is that Ootori Mika? My, you look so mature already!” Sawako-sensei, Mika’s math teacher said as she saw Mika “Sawako-sensei, long time no see (^^)” said Mika “Is that your baby?” she asked, “E-EH!? N-no, this is Setsuna’s baby” Mika responded, “I see, heh, you really look pretty tonight. I’m looking forward to your speech” said Sawako “So am I” Mika said in a sarcastic way and Sawako decided to talk to the others, then “Mika-nee!” Keita called, Mika looked back and saw Keita, “Keita, it’s good to see you again” said Mika “Same here but are you okay? You don’t look good” said Keita, “I’m fine... uh, by the way have you seen Yoshiro? I haven’t seen him around” said Mika “Eh? So it’s Yoshiro-senpai this time? Hmm” said Keita, “Oh don’t get any wrong ideas... we’re just friends” said Mika “Really then? Oh well, he’s outside, he seems to be waiting for someone” Keita responded, “Really? I wonder who” said Mika then, “Good evening ladies and gentlemen, tonight we are going to hear 3 testimonies from three successful people who have worked really hard to become who they are right now, first off... we are going to listen to Miyazumi Haruka” the Emcee said and they all clapped their hands for Haruka as she got on stage
“Oh no, after Haruka I’m next, argsh... I’m so unprepared” she murmured, “Don’t worry, you can do it!” said Keita as he did a fighting pose which helped Mika boost up her confidence. Haruka only had a short speech and she sounded really prepared, then
“That was awesome Haruka-chan, and now let us listen to our youngest Ootori Mika as she tells us her story after graduating College” said the Emcee, all of them clapped as Mika was walking towards the stage, she arrived there and got slightly blinded by the lights, they were all quiet and all eyes were on her and she suddenly felt really nervous...
“Uh...” she said, then “Psst Mika!” Chizune called, Mika looked to her side and saw Chizu “Just remember, breathe in, breathe out. Don’t be nervous okay? Just tell them what happened during your stay here in Tokyo” she whispered and Mika nodded her head then she faced the crowd once more, she felt two times nervous this time and her legs started shaking “D-Darn it” she thought, suddenly...
“Mika!” someone called her from the back, she looked around and saw Yoshiro
“Yoshiro?” she wondered, then she noticed that Yoshiro was pointing at someone, she couldn’t see him clearly since it was dark on that part when suddenly, the lights in the center were turned off and now, the lights at the back part were
Mika was able to see a closer view and when she saw the guy whom Yoshiro was pointing to, she was so shocked “K-Kira?” she said
