Life... 
 

It's an endless cycle of pain and searching.

 

Jessica Pov

 

I was elated to come home from school. Ready for my best friend arrival. Yet I forgot to ask her to bring her sleeping bag so we could camp.

"Jessica, guess whose here?"

"Yeahhh!!!"

I rushed out to find my friend. A friend that I hope she was my real sister instead of Krystal.

Though I love Krystal more than her.

"Hey...Jessica where are you?"

I hid in the closet next to the door so I could scare her.

"Boo!"

She didn't scream but just smiled happily and walks towards for a hug.

Needless to say....I know, her grandparents were hurting her again.

"Let's go to my room."

"Ok."

Once I shut the door and on the music, so that none of the adults would came or be able to listen in.

"Ok,,shushhh,tell me what happen?"

The tears flow uncontrollably. It make her look haggard.

"Jessica, I want to run away."

"What happen!!!?"

"They left me home alone and locked me in the room till I'm able to finish all the questions and remember all the facts that they gave me."

"What? How has this happened?"

"Since last week after visiting you."

Tears dropped mercilessly.

Let’s run?

"I thought that your grandparents are moving you to San Francisco?"

"Yes they are...."

"Hey put the smile back on, we can still wait."

"Before you run with me?"

"Yes. I will never let you down."

"Jessica you are my BFF forever."

She stopped crying.

I wonder how did she survived all this tragic years of her live till this day.

Soon the door was being knocked upon.

"You girls doing ok?"

I regconised the words. Those timid words belong her my grandmother.

"Yes grandma.We are having a blast."

"Oh I see. Come down to the kitchen if you girls want some snacks."

"Ok."

My heart was pounding. Fear raised till my thoart. Threatening my friendship.

" Sica, Jessica Jung."

"Yes..."

"Don't fear. Look at me."

"We can run away like we wanted to."

"No Jessica. I can wait. You must not be afraid so you can run with me."

"No I'm able to. Are you looking down on me again???"

"Nope...Sergent."

"How dare you!!"

And we had fun, forgeting all the moments and hardships we had.

If only we had a say.

"Jessica, when I own the company. I will give you all the things you want."

"Really! Why?"

"Because you were there for me when I'm lonely, afraid and tired,"

"Then I will consider it."

"Why?A promise is made. I will try my best to protect you."

"Yes my best friend. I don't care you keep this promise or not. I will still be there for you."

Dear Dairy,

I just happen to put Sica to sleep. I hired a mentalist to hypnotise her. Make her forget what had happen. Then I called Tayeon to put her up.

"Taeyeon, are you awake?"

"Umm...Yes.Who's this?"

"It's me...."

"Oh!"

Sudden rumbling of voices. Must be Sooyoung whose using Taeyeon as a bolster again.

"Yes I can talk now. What do you need?"

"Sica just fell asleep on in the practise room. Would you like me to sent her to the dorm?"

"Sure. I will text you the address . Call me when you reached."

"Yes. Thanks by the way."

"...You make her forget you?"

"I will explain to you...After I leave Seoul."

Of course being Taeyeon, she wasn't too pleased that I wiped out all the memories that Sica had of me. But she was still thankful for bring Sica home by myself.

Heave Ho!

She must have gain some weight. Or is it I'm the one whose is losing strength?

"Taeyeon, I have reached."

"Oh...um those flowers?"

"It's for Sica, we were talking and she fell asleep."

"You ask her out?"

"Nope I had some connections so the doors remains opened for me to enter freely anytime I wanted to.So I went to the practise room directly."

"Oh...Her room is there."

Carefully I entered the room.I gently lay her on her bed. Hoping and praying that Hyoyeon won't wake up.Which in fact she was snoring.I placed her bouqet of flowers by her side and left a note hidden in the roses.I took a final look and left the room.

"Taeyeon. I promise this will be the last time I will show up."

"..."

I was trying to leave but I was slapped.

"You...."

It's Tiffany. Behind her was Seohyunnie.

"Sorry to disturb your beauty sleep."

I ran out of the house and never came back.

That was the tragic recount of how I left Sica in the hands of her members. Now I'm on the plane heading to NYU(New York University). Soon I will have new friends, a new identity and new responsibilities.Goodbye Seoul. Hello New York.

I watch the clock ticking by day and night. The professors are ranting about things that I had already known.My peers and friends are all forced into the lecture and taking down notes furiously. I had known.This university is not my type. So I called my dad up.

"Daddy..."

I used my aegyo to spice up his feelings for me."

"Yes my dear precious little girl."

"Daddy do you miss me."

There I had done it. The prof is mad. Taking it as a chance, I walked out of the room with my belongings along.

"Yes dear, what is it do you need? Daddy will find time for it."

"Oh dad, um I think this course is too slow."

"My dear girls it's the 100th time you had said this to me."

"Yes dad blame it on your genes."

"Ok.Go to the school administrative staff I will make a call with the Dean now."

"Thanks."

"Hey for once stop using aegyo to manipulate my mood and reasoning."

"Sure...Why not!"

I ended the call and head to the adminstrative building which took me 5 mins. Though it's 1km afar. I ran.

"Oh..Celine do you need help?"

"Nope, Mrs Jackson."

"Oh you are here to?"

Then someone came walking in looking for me.

"Aahhh another new record."

"Nope. I just walked."

He lead me to the conference room.

"Yes really.Your father had warned me of your wittiness."

"I see. He must have told you somethings."

"HELLO!"

The projector screen went on suddenly showing the 'ever-young' face of father.

"Dad we can hear you. I'm going deaf if you keep that up!"

"Sorry."

"Mr Francis, I'm so sorry that my child had troubled you so much."

"Oh no. It's a great honour to have such an outstanding student here. It's the first time I had actually met one like that."

"Um....so Mr Francis, I'm wondering whether I eligible to take all the courses exams in one semester?"

"Child, I think you can do it. I will ring up the Havard Deans for you."

"My child...I think you must think carefully...."

He had a pained expession as if fear is like a storm heading towards him throwing him to a unknown direction.

"Dad.Mr Francis. Yes I think this is a brillant plan. "

I shook my Dean's hand and went back to my apartment.

I ignored him. I know. Bit by bit dad I will help you to overthrow that man who had never treated us like family but tools.

Ring.Ring.Ring.

My handphone lit up. I looked. Blocked number.

Strange.

I pause for half a minute till I listen.

"Why?"

Huh....

"Who is this?"

"Why did you!!!"

Now I felt a gust of wind blowing towards my spines. Giving me some uneasy shivers.

"I remembered all."

"Who is this?"

"Why did you leave me?"

Her tone softens.

"Why??!! You should have never leave me."

"I'm sorry. I love you."

My heart cried as she cried through the phone.

"Happy first anniversary."

"You...."

The call ended abruptly.

But after a minute later she called back.

"Sica...give that phone."

"No..I will never give you."

"Celine. Come back."

"I love you Sica. BFF never forgets her promise."

I off my phone immediately. That was the day I never hated myself ever more for being alive in this world.

 

 

If I never met anyone that I built feelings with and for, I would choose to die now.
