Saera is known for her kind and helpful nature, and her want to help everyone around her. She loves to shower love and affection to the people close to her, and is a loyal and trustworthy friend (provided, of course, that you are the same to her). She's also extremely energetic, and her members have commented that the only times they have seen her not moving are when she is 1. Sleeping, 2. Sick, or 3. Injured. The girl's a fireball of energy, and it takes a lot to slow her down.

Saera can definitely be a bit hard-headed, and it takes a great deal of effort to change her mind (this often comes off as arrogance to people that don't know her well). If she wants to do it her own way, then there is little you can do to change her mind (if you're lucky, she can sometimes be bribed with cheese, she loves the stuff). Her ego also tends to be hurt over small, trivial matters (saying that she's a bad dancer will definitely put a dent in her ego). She also tends to be possesive over her stuff (touching her clothes is a HUGE no-no), even though her nature is very giving; she often says "I can give, but I can't share." How precious~~

Her rapping is well known throughout the company, but one of her most notable achievements during her time as a trainee was when her self-composed song "Beautiful Stranger" was chosen for the f(x) Electric Shock EP.

Background

Born in 1992, Saera is the elder child of a family of four; her little brother, Hoseok, better known as J-Hope, is a member of the idol group BTS. Growing up, she excelled in her studies but began to fall in love with music after begging her father to let her enroll in a music course at her school. She began composing and playing the guitar and piano at the age of 16, and shared the musical interest with her little brother. In 2010, she auditioned for SM Entertainment with a self-composed song and was accepted, turning down a chance to study at Korea University in favor of pursuing her dream of being an entertainer. During her time in SM, she was praised for her rapping and composing ability, with her self-composed song "Beautiful Stranger" making it onto the tracklist for f(x)'s Electric Shock EP.
