~ Cyphus ~
When a weird old lady, who also claimed she came from the mythical land of Virgula, had said that he’ll be wasting half his life trying to gain as much knowledge as he can, he didn’t believe her. That was back when he was just applied to be admitted into one of the best institutions in Mente. Now, he’s in his sixth year in this learning institution, working on his second certification. And he still doesn’t know if he’s just wasting his time like she had said or what.
“Luhan,” an instructor called as Luhan entered the library.
“Sir Weiss,” Luhan acknowledged.
The instructor handed over a couple of books. “I won’t be able to give you a proper lesson right now, but I expect you to have read that by the time we meet again. I figured you’re ready for it.”

The beginning was a bit confusing, going on about a legend he had heard once during his childhood and had forgotten. About a goddess called Azrin who has a pet snake as thick as her arms. It was on how she had created Serce. He read on and on, realizing that the legends were written in the book as to string some real events together, making them all connected. Skipping on the parts that he already knew — the parts he had already read from countless of history books — he found himself taken by words that speak about magic and myths.
His mind soaked up stories about the endless powers of Azrin, the glory and prosperity of Virgula, how the evil Bezna were born, the bloody things that happened as the Bezna ran amok, how Azrin sacrificed h
