25. For Good
ArcanumChapter Twenty Five
~ For Good ~
“These lions are huge!” Pir said giddily. “Good job, Kalen! Minnie would be so proud.”
Xiumin threw a mock glare at Kalen upon the mention of his sister. Kalen reddened under the bundle of cloth covering his neck. Then the embarrassed man proceeded to throw a glare at the other hunter who can’t keep his mouth shut. Pir either ignored the glare being sent his way or he was just too oblivious. Xiumin would bet on the latter.
“I think we won’t be going back to hunt for five days or so.” Pir kept on speaking.
With a small chuckle, Xiumin shook his head. They were all in a good mood. It was a good hunt. They managed to kill three fully-grown snow lions.
Pir continued his merry babble. “Kalen could be with Minnie longer now!”

“Okay, you two, let’s keep moving!” Xiumin told them, picking up the ropes.
Pir shoved Kalen away from him with a snort. “We should. Kalen is suffering from being away from Minnie too long.”
And there they went again. He sighed at the two running around. He has no idea how two childish men could be hunters. Since he had no way of pulling three carcasses by himself, he would just wait and amuse himself with the surroundings. They were in a wide passage that was in the middle of two snowy mountains. One of the mountains looks dangerous with a bit of snow appearing to be on the verge of falling, but it has been like that for years now. The snow’s not going to fall anytime soon. He’s not concerned of it.
He began to observe the smaller of the two mountains. It has lots of snowed-on rocks. Good for hiding when they were hunting. That one particular rock would be big enough for three of them. A lion wouldn’t even know they were there since it’s as big as one… Lion!
“A lion! Kalen, Pir!” he shouted, unsheathing his jungle knives from his waist.
