- Yoseob's POV -

"Here, take a look at the profile," Junhyung hands me the profile of my partner for the training session next week. "She will start her debut soon and you will be in charge of her for a year."

I read through her profile carefully.

Sun Eunna, born on January 6, 1991, at Los Angeles. Her specialities include vocal, dance, and design. The only daughter in her family.

I skip the other parts of her profile since I don't think it's necessary for me to know.

President has assigned all artists of Cube Entertainment in the new training systematic to increase the abilities of the trainees before their debuts. BEAST, including me, is assigned for the soon-to-debut trainees. I think our manager has mentioned about a promotional group for them, where we will be included in the group.

Due to our schedules, only me, Hyunseung, and Junhyung who have been assigned for the training since Doojoon and Gikwang are busy with TV show recording while Dongwoon needs to focus on his study.

"Your partner is cute," Hyunseung looks at the picture of Sun Eunna. "I envy you. My partner is a guy. It's such a pity we can't exchange partners."

I laugh for no reason. To be honest, I will be happy to exchange partners with Hyunseung. I'd rather have a guy as a partner because I don't really like to work with girls.

The first reason is I don't want any issue to appear between the public about my relationship with a girl.

The second reason is I'm kind of awkward and shy when it comes about girls.

The third reason is... I just want to avoid girls. You can say that I'm a coward but I'm afraid to fall in love.

I've heard a lot about heartbreaking relationships from people around me and my heart has been broken by a girl I once loved when I was still a trainee.

And I can't stand a heartbreak. It's awful. It's hurt.

Why do you keep falling in love when you just end up hurting yourself?


- Eunna's POV -

"Eunna, you have Yoseob as your partner!" Hyori squeaks and hugs me with excitement. "I really envy you!"

I take the profile of Yang Yoseob from Hyori's hand. I will be a training partner of Yang Yoseob, the main vocalist of BEAST, one of the most talented idol groups in South Korea. I should be one of the luckiest girls in the world, right?

"Who is your partner?" I ask Hyori, my best friend since senior high school. She is the cheerful girl who is really talented in rapping and dancing. It is kind of rare to find a girl who raps really well nowadays but Hyori is one of the cool girls.

"Yong Junhyung," she grins widely to me, "the main rapper of BEAST. I think we will meet often because both of our partners are from BEAST."

"The training will start next week, right?" I read through his profile.

Ah, his birthday is on January 5, one day before mine.

I never met him in person before but I do adore him, thanks to his amazing vocal.

"Yes," Hyori sits next to me, having Junhyung's profile in her hand. "Do you think love will spark between us? You know, like in movies."

"Maybe," I chuckle, knowing that Hyori loves romantic stories and movies, the source of her inspiration in writing rap lyrics. "Love comes and goes without warning."

"Eunna and Yoseob will make a cute couple!" Hyori starts to tease me. "Or maybe Hyori and Junhyung will make a cool couple!"

I don't respond to her imagination. I just let a smile forms on my lips.

We can never predict the timing of love so we just need to stay alert for it.

I'd never been in a relationship before, not because I never fallen in love but it's because I haven't found the one or I've fallen for the wrong person.

Kind of like that sometimes.

But I think my way to love is just not easy.

After all, love is hard when it is true.
