Extraction (Part Two)

Order of the Wolf: Reformation

With a flash of light, the members were standing outside of the old warehouse.

“Alright Knights, get into position. Wait until we're in and then make your move,” Sehyuk said. The Knights nodded and disappeared from sight as Hansol pulled the cord on the bell beside the front door. He expected Sohee to answer the door, but instead it was another girl with crinkled brown hair.

“Whatever you're selling, we don't want any,” she said harshly.

“I'm Kim Hansol and this is the Order of the Wolf,”

She looked somewhat surprised, but she simply stepped aside to allow them in. Soon they were in the throne room, standing in front of Sohee and three others. The girl who let them in joined them on the fifth throne.

“You're back and you brought the others, great! These are the other Liberty Corps founders, Kristine, Yuri, Junhee, and you just met Yeonju. Listen Hansol, I'm sorry we had to hold Xero... I just really needed to make sure you wouldn't resist. I hope we can put this behind us and work together for the greater good,” Sohee said.

“Where is my boyfriend?” Hansol demanded. Sohee was about to speak up but Yuri stopped her.

“We'll tell you that after we're sure we can trust you,”she said, locking eyes with Hansol.

This was going to be a little tougher than expected...

Kidoh surveyed the outside of the warehouse, trying to identify an alternate entrance.

“Kidoh over here! I think this is the computer lab,” Nakta said, looking into one of the windows. Kidoh peeked into the window and noticed the young man, busily typing away on one of the many computers. Fishing through his backpack, he retrieved one of the gas canisters his uncle gave him.

“Weapons ready, masks on,” Kidoh ordered. Nakta drew his sword and Sanggyun grabbed the twin daggers resting in his belt. After they slipped on their gas masks, Kidoh launched the canister through the window. It spewed white smoke from both ends, causing the young man inside to cough violently. The Knights leapt through the broken window and Kidoh immediately scanned the area for the device Hansol described.

“Target identified,” Kidoh said as he aimed his bow, firing an arrow directly into the heart of the device. The light on it blinked and then turned off, signaling the death of the Tag Blaster. The coughing boy managed to drag himself over to one of the keyboards and press a button, setting off an alarm.

“!” Nakta cursed under his breath as he hit the boy across the face with the hilt of his sword. It was then that Kidoh finally got a good look at the boy... was that, Hyeontae!? So the Hyeontae that was Sohee's brother, was the same Hyeontae from his childhood? Kidoh hadn't seen him in ages. What the heck was he doing here?

Kidoh didn't have time to think about that though...things were about to get interesting.

--------------------------

“What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this revolution?” Sehyuk wondered.

“Ooooh, let me answer this! Pleeease!?” Kristine said, excitedly tapping Sohee's shoulder. Hansol couldn't help but chuckle; she reminded him a lot of Byungjoo.

“Fine,” Sohee said.

“Well, the point of the whole thing is that we want equal treatment of supernatural creatures. Can you believe that in certain cities, they're actually implementing segregation policies? Supernatural kids have to go to attend different classes, can't play on sports teams, and wizards are watched closely when they take tests to make sure they don't use magic to cheat. It's really bad! All we want is to stop this problem before it gets too serious. We have to show the government that we won't just sit back and take this... we're gonna fight!” Kristine said. It was incredibly difficult to take her seriously, considering she spoke like a cartoon character and tended to make extravagant movements with her hands.

“I agree with your cause, but there has to be another way to achieve change. We can protest, show people that we aren't dangerous... a revolution would directly undermine that goal,” Hansol said, trying to appeal to the girls' logical side. Before they could respond, a loud, blaring alarm filled the air. The girls jumped to their feet and Hansol's heart nearly stopped; The Knights must've failed. Junhee growled and blew a stream of fire, trapping the boys in a ring of flames. Hojoon rose his hand, turning the flames to snow.

“Hansol, find Xero, now!” Sehyuk demanded. Hansol was extremely confused; he had no clue where they could be keeping him! Hansol quickly teleported out of the room before any of the girls could stop him. He rushed through the hallway until he came to an area that hadn't been altered at all. It looked grungy and rundown, matching the outside of the building. He could hear the sound of rattling metal as he explored the area, and he gasped when he saw Xero, bound and gagged in a small cage. He was relentlessly kicking the cage, trying to escape. Hansol opened the cage and untied him, allowing him to remove the tape from his mouth. Xero immediately grabbed Hansol and hugged him tight, before kissing him.

“I'm so glad to see you!” Xero shouted.

“Same here! I'm sending you back to the hideout okay? I have to go make sure the others are okay,” Hansol replied. Xero nodded as Hansol clenched his fists, causing Xero to disappear in a flash of light. He ran back to the throne room to assist the others, but the situation was out of control. All four of the lions were unconscious in a circle at Yeonju's feet... how the hell did she manage to take them all out on her own?

Yuri had Sehyuk pinned to the ground with his arm behind his back and Junhee was mercilessly kicking Sangdo. Hojoon and Byungjoo had been hit with an immobilization spell. Hansol scoffed; Sohee was very careful to exploit the loopholes in the rules of magic. She knew she could use certain spells against other wizards, but as long as they weren't innately offensive, she could get away with it without losing her powers.

“Let them go!” Sanggyun yelled as he and the other Knights entered the throne room, pulling Hyeontae behind them. Nakta pointed his sword at Hyeontae's throat.

“Kristine! Take them out!” Sohee ordered. Kristine burst from the shadows in her lion form. She was quickly met by Kidoh's foot as he kicked her in the face as hard as possible. He aimed his bow at her while she was down.

“Either you let us go, or I slice his throat... your call,” Nakta said menacingly. Hansol knew he wasn't serious, but the girls didn't need to know that.

“Let them go... but remember this; your chance at a partnership with us is over. You've made a new enemy, and you won't be happy that you did,” Sohee said, glaring at Hansol. He couldn't explain why, but he actually felt bad that they wouldn't be able to work with the Liberty Corps. Honestly, he felt worse that Sohee was his enemy. He felt a connection to her and he didn't want to her to hate him... but it seemed like that was the way things would be.

All of the girls stepped aside as Hansol prepared to teleport them out.

“Sorry it has to be this way Hyeontae... things could have been different,” Kidoh said softly.

“ off Kidoh,” Hyeontae harshly replied. Wait... did they know each other?

“Let's go Hansol,” Sehyuk said, rubbing his arm. Hansol clenched his fists and soon, all of them were standing in the hideout.

“Looks like another obstacle for us to face,” Sangdo said as he and Sehyuk laid the still unconscious lions on the couches.

“We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. For now we should just be happy that we got Xero back in one piece,” Sehyuk said. Hansol pulled Kidoh aside.

“Hey, how do you know Hyeontae?” he asked.

“Oh... I met him at the same time as Nakta and Sanggyun. He was part of the Knight training program when we were kids. He dropped out with no explanation... probably because he found out his sister was a wizard,” Kidoh explained. Hansol nodded as Xero back hugged him.

“Hey, can we head back to our room? I'm uh... really tired,” Xero said, his voice strangely uneven.

“Yeah sure,” Hansol agreed. Kidoh smirked and winked at Xero as he pulled Hansol out of the hideout.

“Are they gonna do what I think they're gonna do?” Nakta asked.

“I don't think that's any of our business,” Kidoh replied with a chuckle.

Once Hansol and Xero were in their room, Xero sat down on his bed and sighed.

“Is it cold in here to you?” he asked.

“Not really,”

“Well I'm cold, you should come over here and snuggle with me,”

“Xero... are you trying to... uh, you know,”

“What!? No, no way! Unless, you want to...”

“Well I mean, it's up to you,”

“No, it's a mutual decision,”

“Let's do it then,”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes... I'm sure Xero,” Hansol replied, slipping his shirt over his head. Xero's eyes widened at the sight of Hansol's surprisingly toned body. He pulled him down onto the bed for a heated kiss. They stripped off each others clothes and Hansol blushed as he covered his crotch. Apparently, fighting off crazy terrorists and standing against the Liberty Corps was nothing, but his boyfriend seeing him had him giggling like a schoolgirl.

“Don't be shy Hansol, you have a great body,”

“Shut up!” Hansol replied, playfully slapping Xero's shoulder. Xero laughed and kissed Hansol again, pulling him close. As their bodies clashed, the energy built up between them... it was electric.

After an hour of passionate love-making, the two boys fell asleep in each others arms; both of them smiling and satisfied.

Chapter 30: I wonder what will happen to the Liberty Corps. Finally! Jiwon has decided to join! Goodluck to him and Jenissi, though :P So this... is the ending. I've only noticed Hansol's character development, and the ending is rushed, to be honest. Off to the next story!

Chapter 28: I like that you don't focus too much in the action moves as they fight because you put some of the characters' thoughts here and there from time to time. If action scenes are all about the moves, I think most of the readers will find a hard time processing all of it and will wonder of a character's exact thoughts during a battle. Indeed, this fight turns out into unimaginable O_O Off to the next chapter!

Chapter 27: A very good idea by the Order. Hope they'll be able to do their plan soon and successfully at that. There's a high chance of things that'll unexpectedly get on their way. And thank God, there's some way with the collar. I'm just hoping Sohee will do the right thing.

Chapter 26: Hm. Guess the Liberty Corps's not that smart as they dont think of any other way of getting to the Order's side. I'm wondering of this connection Hansol and Sohee feel towards each other. Will they be revealed as actual brothers and sisters :D A trilogy sounds exciting!

Chapter 25: So the meeting of the Order and the girls with Hyeontae doesn't turn out good... Hope there'll be a solution to this soon. I understand the Liberty Corps's feelings, but their plan is just so wrong, and the Order's right.

Chapter 22: I believe XeSol are able to go thru it all. I sympathize Byungjoo, but really, Hansol can't just give up his and Xero's love just because of what people think or feel. It's their lives anyway.

Chapter 21: It's so unfortunate to have a mom wanting to ruin your life. I salute Xero for still being able to stand her.
