Chapter 24

After the encounter with Hyeri, Taeyeon immediately drove home and went into her room.

It was a good thing that her father had to go overseas for his work trip so she doesn't have to explain to him about her red, swollen eyes.

However, she couldn't escape from her mother.

"How was sch-" Her mother said but did not finish her sentence when Taeyeon totally ignored her presence and ran up to her room.

It was unlikely for her to do this since she would always acknowledge her mother when she comes home from school.

Her mother knew something was wrong and knocked on her door.

"Taeyeon?" Her mother said as she knocked the door.

She even tried opening the door but it was locked.

Taeyeon's mother started to get worried and decided to call the only person that might me able to talk to Taeyeon.

Ever since Taeyeon and Yuri became the best of friends, their mothers even started to chat and even went shoppping together or have a cup of coffee at times.

She took the house phone and dialled a telephone number.

After some ringing, someone finally picked up the phone.

"Hello Mrs Kim! Hold on, I will pass the phone to my mother." 

"No, I am actually looking for you, Yuri." She said.

"Oh, what's the matter?" Yuri said in confusion.

She immediately explained the situation.

"It isn't a problem. I will be there soon." Yuri said.

"Thank you so much. See you later." She said and hung up.

After a while, the doorbell rang.

Taeyeon's mother opened the door and smiled.

"I am sorry if I troubled you." Mrs Kim said as she welcomed her in.

"No it isn't a trouble. Taeyeon is my friend and I will be there for her like how she will be there for me. Don't be worried. I will talk to her." Yuri assured with a smile and made her way to Taeyeon's room.

She knocked on the door.

"Please open up. Your mother is worried and so am I. Please." Yuri said worriedly.

She heard a 'click' and she takes it that the door have been unlocked.

Yuri opened the door and see Taeyeon curled up liked a ball on the floor.
