Someone was hugging me…

I immediately opened my eyes and found the shirtless boy snuggling against me with an arm wrapped around my waist. I lay there for a moment, unsure of what to do. His face was really cute. Unable to control myself, I reached out for his face. Wait, what am I doing? I have school today.

I quickly snapped back to reality and shook Luhan. "Wake up and get away from me you idiot!" I yelled and tried to remove his arm from my waist. He tightened his grip and pulled me closer. "Hey!" I exclaimed and turned to him.

I jerked away when I realized how close his face was. I swear our nose just touched. I then slowly observed him from further away. There was a teasing smile on his face. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at me with a hint of smirk.

"Get away from me!" I said and smacked his head.

"But you’re so warm though," he whined and rubbed against me.

"Ewwwww, dude, if you’re cold, then go put clothes on!" I snapped at him and broke out from his embrace. I quickly jumped off the bed and went to the washroom, slamming the door extra hard. That idiot, how was I supposed to deal with him?

I brushed my teeth and washed my face. After I was all done, I returned to my bedroom. Luhan was still sitting on the bed; good thing he had a T-shirt on this time... I ignored him and pulled the curtains up, letting the morning sunlight shine into the room.

"Where are you going?" Luhan suddenly spoke.

"Downstairs for breakfast.... Go wash up if you want something to eat," I replied without looking back, then I stepped down the stairs.

Walking into the kitchen, my mom greeted me, "good morning Mi-hyun, how was your sleep?" She asked while flipping a pancake over.

"Okay, why are you here mom?" I asked, mom usually leaves early for work in the morning, it was unusual to see her in the morning at home.

"Since Luhan isn’t going to school today, I thought I should stay home to keep him company," she replied casually.

"And not go to work?" I mumbled to myself.

Luhan came down when I was drinking the last of my milk. My mom walked up to him and asked how his sleep was. She also asked if he was liking it here so far, his answer surprised me. "Yes, I really enjoy being here. Mi-hyun has been taking care of me, she is a great sister to have," he said shyly to my mom and looked at me.

What was he up to? Saying good things about me…

After my mom gave Luhan his pancakes, she said she was going to finish writing some documents for work and left us here. I finished my milk in a flash and placed the cup in the sink before wiping my hands and going upstairs.

"Wait for me!" Luhan said with his mouth stuffed. I stopped in my tracks and looked back at him. "I’m going to change and get my backpack, I’ll come back down after I get ready, you keep eating," I assured him.

"Oh, alright," he nodded and flashed a bright smile. Oh my god, he was so cute! I squealed on the inside but kept a cool face on and smiled back.

I got all my school things ready. I changed out of my pajamas and did my hair. Since my parents usually got me whatever I wanted, I had loads, LOADS of outfits. I picked a slightly fancier one today for no reason.

After I got ready, I went back downstairs.

"Okay, I’m back," I said to Luhan.

Luhan looked up and his eyes widened at the sight of me but quickly recovered after a while, "You’re pretty today, Mi-hyun," he complimented. His eyes scanned me from head to toe.

"I know I’m beautiful but please stop, it’s making me uncomfortable," I said and walked up to him.

"Alright, when are you leaving for school?" he asked. I looked at the clock, it was 7:10. "In 10 minutes," I replied and Luhan frowned.

"Awww, I’m gonna be lonely without my sister," he pouted.

Sister? That was fast, he only came yesterday. "Mom’s home, I need to go to school," I told him. "And sister? It’s weird hearing that..." I responded to that statement.

"Yeah I think so too. I don’t like seeing you as my sister," he said and moved closer.

"That sounds weird..."  I murmured. "Anyways, I have a question for you," I continued, "why did you say those things to my mom this morning, like I have been taking care of you and how am I a good sister to have?" I asked him.

"Because that’s the truth," he answered simply.

"How?" I questioned, completely confused. How did I take care of that ert? And how was I his sister?

"How not? That’s what I felt. You were caring towards me, you were nice, you showed me around, and let me sleep with you," he recalled.

"Alright then... But I did not let you sleep with me, you begged my mom," I pointed out.

"Whatever, same thing. Hey, Mi-hyun it’s time for you to go," he reminded me.

I glanced at the clock. "Oh yeah." I grabbed my bag and ran out the door without saying bye.

"Hey girl, I missed you sooo much!" My best friend, Mina, back-hugged me.

"It was only two days," I laughed at her dramatic actions.

She pouted and whined,"48 hours is a long time!"

I laughed at her silliness. Mina was my best friend since junior high school. Ever since we were put into the same class, the two of us were instantly attracted to each other like magnetes. Although we were great friends, the two of us were pretty different. While I was more of a geek who loved gaming and watching anime, Mina loved shopping and talking to boys. It would be interesting to see her reaction when I tell her about Luhan.

"Mina, guess what?" I tapped her shoulders as we walked down the hallway.

She looked at me. "What?"

"I got a new brother," I said as calmly as possible.

Mina paused for a moment before a confused expression surfaced on her face. I nodded at her in excitement. "What? Are you kidding around?" She questioned.

I crossed my fingers. "No, no, I'm not joking. Like, I literally have a brother now. I didn't know my parents were adopting another child. It's complicated, I'll tell you about that later. But seriously though, they threw me off guard," I exclaimed and a big smile stretched across my best friend's face.

"For real?" She asked again and I nodded. "Is he older or younger? Is he cute? What’s he like? Do you guys get along?" Questions popped up after questions, I laughed and gestured for her to stop speaking.

"Okay, okay, calm down. My parents just adopted him without telling me. He’s the same age as me. Yes, he is very, very cute. He is very annoying and erted, and I guess we kind of get along," I answered all of her questions in one breath, wow.

"Oh my god! I wanna meet him. He seems like my type of boy, introduce him to me?" she squealed.

I nodded. "Sure, maybe tomorrow, he’ll be here tomorrow."

"Yay!"

We went to class after the bell rang. The first class I had was math.

We all went in the classroom and sat wherever we wanted to, but unfortunately, Mina was put in a different class. So right now, I sat all alone by a window seat. I sat there calmly, looking over my notes. Suddenly, someone took the seat beside me and I quickly looked up. A handsome boy caught my gaze and held it with his own. I felt heat rising to my ears. It was Oh Sehun, my crush.

"Hey Mi-hyun, what’s up?" he asked and smiled.

"Not much, how bout you?" I asked, moving my chair closer to the wall, away from Sehun.

"I’m fine, sorry for taking this seat, I know you don’t like sitting with others but those girls over there are driving me nuts," he said and looked at the girls across the class who were gossiping.

"Yeah, I don’t like them either," I agreed and shifted my gaze to the handsome boy beside me.

I had calmed down beside Sehun. I couldn't express my happiness right now. Time flew by during this period. It was like a dream sitting beside my dream boy, Sehun…

When the lunch bell rang, the teacher dismissed us and everyone rushed out of the classroom. I met up with Mina by my locker, she was waiting for me.

"Mina, Mina, Mina! Oh my god, I just had the best math class ever!" I exclaimed.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Sehun sat beside me!" I squealed.

"Really? I knew you guys were meant to be," Mina giggled.

"Excuse me girls," a familiar voice beside us behind us made me jump. It was Sehun. Oh crap, please don't tell me he heard everything…

"Hello Sehun, we were just talking about you," Mina said.

"I heard you guys, especially Mi-hyun," he smiled at me. My jaws dropped, he heard me! "Someone’s happy today huh?" he laughed at my expression. I looked away and fiddled with my fingers, blushing madly. "Haha, okay, I just came to give you two this invitation to my party on Saturday," Sehun said and held out two envelopes.

He handed Mina the pink one and gave me the blue one. Then he winked at me and left for his friends. I swear I could die of happiness right now. Mina high-fived me and we went to have lunch.

The rest of the day passed by slowly, but finally, school was over. I wondered how Luhan was doing... After saying bye to Mina, I headed home.

"I’m home!" I yelled as I unlocked the door. I felt super excited, Sehun’s party was in 12 days!

Luhan ran down from the stairs and gave me a big hug, squeezing me tightly. "Mi-hyun!"

"Whoa, why are you hugging me?" I asked and pushed the boy away.

"I haven’t seen you in so long!" Luhan exclaimed. Why did he remind me of Mina?

I placed my bag on the floor and looked at him. "Dude, that was a couple hours."

"So, how’s school?" Luhan asked me.

"School? Oh my gosh, today was the best day ever! I sat with my crush during math," I chirped and smiled as I recalled the sweet memory.

Luhan’s expression hardened up. "You have a crush?" He questioned, lips pressed tight into a line. What was his problem?

"Yes I do, and for your information, he is handsome, tall and such a gentleman," I responded.

"Is he more handsome than me?" Luhan asked. Why did it feel like he was jealous? Aish, he was such a kid.

My expression softened. "No, you’re very cute, but Sehun’s different. You’re my brother so I can’t compare you two," I said and ruffled his hair.

"Brother huh?" He forced a thin smile and walked away.

After Luhan walked away, I rushed to my bag and took out the invitation Sehun gave me. Carefully opening it, I took out the card, and held it like a treasure in my hand. I read the contents.

What’s going on: Sehun’s birthday party!

Location: Sehun’s house, address is 43 College Street North

Time: 3:00pm  

Date: Saturday April 12

RSVP: Sehun’s cell number~ 905-547-0078 (I hope you’ll come, Mi-hyun!)

Extra notes: Mi-hyun, I really hope to see you there, you will make my Birthday more special!

Holly... What did Sehun mean by me making his birthday special? I stared at the paper, eyes wide open. I reread the contents three more times and almost died of a heart attack.

Suddenly, Luhan appeared out of nowhere and snatched the paper out of my hand.

"What are you smiling at?" he asked and read the invitation, I let him. When he was done, he looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed up. "Does this Sehun dude like you?" Luhan demanded.

I smiled at the thought of Sehun liking me. "I hope so, it’ll be like a dream coming true."

"Alright, I would like to meet this boy tomorrow," Luhan stated.

"Okay then. Where’s mom?" I asked.

"Mrs. Rim went out to get groceries," Luhan said and dragged me to the living room.

I tugged my arm away from him. "What do you want?"

"Play video games with me," Luhan stated.

I looked at his pouty innocent face. "Fine, but only for a while, I have homework."

We played together in joy and laughter, we both had lots of fun. Looks like having Luhan around wouldn’t be so bad after all.
