Shinhye wipes and walks weakly to the couch.

“Kenchana Shinhye ya?”

She nods weakly and leans on Mrs. Jung’s shoulder.

“I really can’t stand oppa’s scent omma.”

Mrs. Jung caresses her hair.

“You will get better after few months.”

“Won’t oppa hate me omma? He seems sad.”

“I’ll talk to him. Let’s go to the doctor.”

She nods.

Mrs. Jung goes to Shinhye’s wardrobe and take out a jacket.

“Put this on and wash your face. Can you walk?”

“I think I can.”

“Careful neh.”

Shinhye nods before she walks into the bathroom to wash her face.

“Let me take her to the clinic. You should stay home with Eunmi.”

“Can’t I come along?”

“She can’t stand your scents.”

“Omma, will she stay away from me for long?”

Mrs. Jung pats his son’s back.

“Usually the behavior isn’t long for whole day. Maybe she will come to you in evening or night. I’ll confirm it with the doctor. Stay in the room for now.”

Yonghwa nods reluctantly.

“I’ll take good care of your wife. Don’t worry Yong.”

Yonghwa sighs.

“She doesn’t mean it.”

Yonghwa nods again.

“It’s normal Mrs Jung. Your daughter in law is absolutely alright.”

“She never acts like that towards my son. She was feeling guilty.”

“But it can’t be helped. Maybe it will last for three to 4 months.”

Mrs. Jung nods.

“How old is her pregnancy?”

“Based on the ultrasound, she is 6 weeks pregnant.”

She nods again.

“I’ll prescribe the vitamins for Shinhye ssi. Take it on time deh. Eat more fruits and vegetables.”

“Deh.”

Shinhye answers with a weak smile.

“This is your first right?”

“I have a daughter.”

“Chinca?”

Shinhye nods.

“So, you know how to take care of yourself during this time right?”

She wasn’t answering.

“I’ll remind her.”

Mrs. Jung answers with a smile.

“Okay Mrs. Jung. We are done. Come by for monthly check up okay.”

“Deh. Thank you doctor.”

“She will be fine.”

“Do I need to sleep separately from her?”

“Understand her Yong. It’s not because she wanted to.”

Yonghwa nods again.

“I’ll stay for few days.”

He nods.

“I’ll just go and look at her before I sleep.”

Mrs. Jung smiles.

“Deh.”

Yonghwa sighs before he climbs up the staircase to Shinhye’s room. He peeks on his wife who was sleeping peacefully with Eunmi in her arms.

He sighs again and kisses her forehead carefully.

“Goodnight yeobo.”

He switch off the light and walks to his old room.

“Oppa.”

Yonghwa turns to his wife with a weak smile. He really wanted to hug her right now. He really longed for her even if it just two weeks passes.

“Deh yeobo.”

Shinhye walks to him and gives him a tight hug.

“I worry you too much right? Sorry oppa.”

“Are you okay now yeobo?”

Shinhye smiles.

“I really miss you.”

Yonghwa tighten the hugs and kisses her hair.

“I miss you like crazy yeobo ya. Don’t do it again yeobo.”

Shinhye nods.

“Sorry oppa.”

Yonghwa sighs in relief.

“I’ll take care of you. We don’t need the maid anymore.”

Shinhye nods.

“Oppa.”

Yonghwa stretches his arms and look at his wife.

“Deh yeobo. Wae? You can’t sleep?”

“I wanted to eat ramyun.”

“I’ll cook it for you.”

Yonghwa went down from the bed, rubbing his eyes and walks to the kitchen. He spends shorter time this night because he had learned the right way to cook ramyun from his mother.

“Here you go.”

Shinhye took two spoonfuls of the soup and drink it before she grins.

“I’m full.”

“You just drink the soup.”

“I’m full.”

She frowns.

“Deh. Deh arasseo. You are full right? Brush your teeth neh.”

Shinhye smiles and nods. She walks into the bathroom and brushes her teeth.

Yonghwa look at the bowl of ramyun and sighs.

“I’m gonna eat you again today.”

Shinhye had become more sensitive these days. Yonghwa have to carefully observe her actions before he do something. She will get mad even if he misplaces his clothing.

She changes her mood quickly. One second she is sad and another she is happy. He has to face unpredictable mood swings of his beloved wife, Jung Shinhye. Luckily she doesn’t behave like she was in her first trimester when she was ignoring him.

Yonghwa sighs once again and walks downstairs with the empty bowl.

“Oppa.”

He truns quickly and look at Shinhye who was standing on the first stair.

“Wae yeobo?”

“Come up palli. I can’t sleep.”

“I’ll just wash this bowl neh.”

Shinhye pouts and nods.

“Shinhye, Jung Shinhye.”

He whispers and finishes his work quickly before he joins her in their room.

“Oppa!!”

Shinhye shouts out loud when she feels the pain from her lower abdomen.

Yonghwa rushed to her with worried face.

“Wae yeobo? Is it time?”

She nods while controlling her breathing.

“Endure it for a while. I’ll bring you to the hospital now neh.”

She nods again and holds on her lower tummy. She was sweaing bullets. The pain was undescribeable. She clings on his neck while biting her lips. Yonghwa walks down the stair carefully and rushed to his car and places her on the passenger seat. He locks the door in a rush and speedily hops on to the driver seat. He starts the ignition and droves to the hospital. Luckily Eunmi was in Mrs. Jung care since last two month when Shinhye was too tired to manage her. She was so active and Shinhye took a hard time to cope with her pace.

Yonghwa caresses her hair while driving.

“Just a little while yeobo. We will arrive in a moment.”

Shinhye shriek once in a while and hold on to her tummy. Yonghwa frown when he saw trace of tears on her cheek.

He stops his car in front of the emergency area. Few staffs and nurses help Shinhye in while Yonghwa follows her after he parks his car.

“You can accompany your wife sir.”

He nods and walks into the labor room.

He holds on to her hand and kisses it.

“I’m here yeobo.”

Shinhye hold his hand tight and pushes harder as the doctor instructs her to.

“A little bit more and you’re done Mrs. Jung.”

Shinhye breathes in long and push as hard as she can before they were greeted by a lovely crying of their daughter.

“Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Jung, it’s a girl.”
