Jessica’s POV

“Do you not you get tired of typing those reports?”

Yuri lifts her head up from her laptop and gives me a smile.

“I sometimes get tired of doing it when it is school days but I actually enjoy it.”

“What a workaholic.”

“Why? Don’t you do this stuff in your family’s company?”

“Sometimes I do, but my parents often ask Krystal to do it.”

“They must see your younger sister as the more responsible one.”

I give her a deadly glare.

“Are you saying that I’m not responsible Kwon?”

“I didn’t say that.”

She gives me a teasing smile.

“Whatever.”

I rolled my eyes while Yuri on the other hand let out a chuckle.

“Sooyoung and Yoona also do these things you know. We are tasked to do this by our parents to train us since we’re going to be inheriting our companies soon. Besides, we grew to love this work of ours. We love the pressure that we receive time to time to challenge ourselves.”

“And the three of you will be having white hair in no time.”

Yuri let out a laugh.

“We don’t care since we are born beautiful.”

I scoffed.

“Humble much?”

“Yes.”

We let out a giggle and afterwards heard Yuri’s phone ring.

“It’s an incoming call Yul.”

“I’m not deaf.”

I sent her another glare which she just ignored and fished out her phone.

“Who is it?”

“Uncle Im.”

The tanned girl raised her phone up to her ear and answered the call.

“Hello?”

I only look at her as she continued talking to Mister Im.

“Okay, I’ll be there later. Bye Uncle.”

Yuri puts back her phone in her pocket and gives me a smile.

“Since you have been here all day and only played with my xbox, do you mind going out with me to give some documents to Uncle?”

“Sure, I’ll go. It’s pretty boring here anyways. I don’t know how I survived the whole day stuck here in this room.”

“Boring? But you have been having fun so much just playing my game console. Besides, who even told you to stay here anyway?” She lifts her brow.

I smile graced upon my face.

“I did.”

Yuri let out a sigh.

“I really don’t understand you sometimes Jung.”

“You are the same for me.”

“So is that the reason why we clicked the instant we saw each other?”

I shrug.

“Maybe...?”

Yuri stood up from her sit as we smiled warmly at each other.

“I’m glad to have you as my friend Jung.”

“I’m glad too Kwon.”

Yuri’s POV

“Here are your documents Uncle.”

“Thank you for bringing this to me Yuri.”

“I don’t mind Uncle.”

I gave the man a smile which he returned.

“By the way...”

Uncle pointed his forefinger at Jessica who is busy looking around the room with her earphones on and is seemed to be in her own world behind me.

“Are you two dating?”

My eyes widen at his words.

“We are not Uncle.”

“Really? Then why do you seem to be always hanging out together these past few days?”

He gives me a suggestive smile.

“Eesh Uncle! We are just friends.”

“Then why are you so worked up with what I said?”

Aish...This man really...

I rub my temple and let out a sigh.

“Uncle...you know I-”

“I know.”

I look at his eyes and saw that he doesn’t want to push me to say those words. I give him a thankful smile and pulled Jessica by the hand. She looks at me in confusion while I on the other hand mouthed that we will be leaving. She nods her head and faces the man. I followed her and bowed down in sync.

“We’ll be going now Uncle.” I said.

“Thank you for having us.” Jessica said.

We lift our heads up and found him smiling.

“Thank you also to the both of you.”

“It’s our pleasure Uncle.”

I opened the passenger door for the sleeping beauty when we reached my car in the parking lot.

“Gomawo.”

“Just get inside.”

Jessica gives me a glare and got inside. I only smirked at her before slamming the door shut and run around my car and head inside the driver’s seat. I buckled my seatbelt and checked if Jessica already buckled hers. After that, I started the engine and drove off.

“Hey Jung...”

Jessica looks away from the window to look at me.

“Ne?”

“Have you been to Yoona’s house?”

“Why?”

“I’m just asking.”

“Mmm...No...I have not.”

“Then do you want to go there?”

“But Sooyoung is with Yoona right now.”

“It is fine, I’m sure they don’t mind.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

“Then let’s go then.”

“But...”

“But what...?”

“Let’s stop first in a restaurant. I’m getting hungry. Don’t worry, it’s my treat.”

I took a glance at her and found her smiling at me.

“Sure!”

“Here’s your order Ma’am.”

The waiter served our food on the table and afterwards went to the other table to serve the others. I grabbed the spoon and fork and started eating. Of course, I’m still cautious with my actions because the paparazzi are everywhere and might snap a picture of me and bring shame to my family.

“This is delicious.”

“Isn’t it?”

“Do you go here often Yul?”

“Before when I and-”  

I cut off myself before I could reveal anything else.

“Before you and?”

I shook my head.

“Just don’t mind it Jess.”

The blonde shrug her shoulders and continued eating again. I did the same. We ate in comfortable silence until Jessica spoke up once again.

“You seem to care for Yoona so much.”

I almost choked on my food.

“Who wouldn’t? I mean she’s sick.”

“But the way you look at her...is different.”

Eesh...

“What do you mean?”

“The way you look at her is the same as Sooyoung’s that is pure of love and concern.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Actually, I do.

“Do you? Or are you just pretending?”

I slammed my fist on the table and glared at Jessica. People’s eyes are on us because of my actions. The blonde on the other hand is looking at me with wide eyes and is seemed to be startled.

“Could we just stop this topic Jess?”

“...I...Okay...”

I didn’t want to get mad at Jessica.

It’s just that...

I don’t want people to know my weakness.

I hate being weak in the eyes of people.

“We’re here.”

I stopped my car at the Im’s parking lot and unbuckled my seatbelt. I let out a sigh and glanced at Jessica and saw her looking down on her lap. I let out a sigh again before looking back at her.

“Don’t you want to go inside?”

Jessica lifts her head and looks directly in my eyes with sadness.

“I...I’m sorry Yuri...I just-”

I give her a smile and ruffled her hair.

 “It’s okay Jessica.”

“But-”

“No buts okay?”

Jessica let out a pout and nods her head.

“Okay...”

I let out a chuckle to push away the weird atmosphere and pointed at the mansion.

“Now then, shall we go inside?”

“Let’s go.”

“Wow, it’s big.”

I let out a giggle as we continued walking down the mansion.

“Isn’t it?”

“Yes.”

We continued walking with Jessica getting amazed and bumped into Yoona’s personal butler, Onew.

“Hey Onew!”

“Good evening Ma’am.”

I let out a pout and cross my arms.

“Didn’t I say to drop the formality when there is no one around?”

“But you have someone with you Ma’am.”

“Her?”

I pointed my thumb on Jessica who is still in her own world.

“Yes.”

“Geez, don’t mind her.”

“But-”

“By the way, where’s the shikshin couple?”

Onew let out a small laugh.

“There are inside Lady Yoona’s room.”

“Okay, thank you.”

I give him one last smile before grabbing Jessica’s hand and dragging her away.

"Shouldn't we just knock first?"

"Nah..."

"But what if we bother them?"

"With what exactly?" 

"You know..."

She pursed her lips and did some gestures which only made me laugh.

"Yah! Stop laughing!"

I continued laughing until it finally subsided.

*Smiles*

"I'm sure there are on the balcony watching the stars right now and just hugging each other."

Jessica lifts her brow.

"How do you say so?"

"Because I sometimes just barge in their rooms and always find them in their respective balconies and hugging each other."

"Oh..."

Jessica nods in understanding.

"So shall we head inside?"

I didn't wait for her answer and turned the knob and pushed the door open.

We get further inside and stopped at the door that leads to the balcony when we heard Yoona say...
