Donghae banged his head to the countertop as he let out a sigh. These past days were so stressful for him, and it’s not just about his studies. Having a very popular best friend not only to females but also to males was very tiring.

“What’s with that attitude? Leeteuk hyung’s café might go bankrupt with that bad vibes around you.” He literally jumped from his seat when he heard the cold husky voice behind him plus the warm breath that touched his ear. He turned around and was welcomed by a serious looking Yesung.

“Kim Jongwoon! Wow you’re finally here! Took you long enough!” Donghae exclaimed as he tried to calm his heart down because of shock. He needed not to lecture the elder about creeping on other people since, well, Kim Jongwoon was not your ordinary guy.

He’s as weird as fudge.

Although I know I don’t need to say what’s obvious right?

“Yeah. It took me eight chapters.” Jongwoon, or Yesung, replied as he occupied the seat beside Donghae, a small mocha frappe on hand.

No words were exchanged between the two as the elder with jet black hair, dark piercing eyes that were accented with his heavy black eyeliner, completing his rock star style with his black leather jacket, white loose sleeveless shirt underneath and tight fitting skinny jeans, stared intensely at the younger. Donghae, of course, couldn’t help but made himself slowly inch away from Yesung. Leeteuk’s judging stares were no match when it came to Yesung’s stares. It’s like he’s calculating you with his stares, reaching down to your soul up to your intestines and other internal organs.

Okay that was quite a lame comparison but I hope you all got the point.

“I know what happened.” Yesung stated and took a sip from his frappe. “I may be MIA but there’s Teukie hyung to fill me in about everything.”

“I know.”

“So what’s the problem?”

Donghae looked skeptically at his cousin. Yes, cousin. He, Yesung, and Leeteuk were cousins although he had doubts about Yesung from the very beginning. He’s the sole member of their family that was like that. If he’ll just say that he’s rather a long lost cousin of Heechul then maybe, there won’t be questions left unanswered.

He kind of forgot about him, Sunny, and Chanyeol.

Do I need to elaborate on that?

“I’m..” The brunet puffed his cheeks in annoyance. How the heck can he explain himself when he himself didn’t understand what’s happening to him?

After a few seconds, he sighed as he stared helplessly at his cousin. He may not seem like it but, Yesung’s kind of good in giving advices. If not because of his love of turtles, he would have taken Psychology as his course and not Veterinary like Donghae.

The black-haired guy smiled gently at the brunet. “Just tell me what you’re feeling right now.”

“I don’t know why I’m like this hyung. Ever since Hyukkie came out of the open it’s like, I felt like I must protect him even more.” Donghae admitted as he got that dejected look on him Yesung couldn’t help but pity him.

“Tell me more.”

The younger looked at him with raised brows. “Wow you sure sounded like a psychologist now. Are you going to shift your course next semester?” He asked the elder who shook his head in return, of course not before he whacked the other on the head.

“Stop diverting the topic.” Yesung scolded the other who pouted as he rubbed his head. His cousin’s hands may be small but they’re surely strong. Ah yes, Hyukjae couldn’t win against his cousin when it came to arm wrestling no matter how he tried.

“I have always been protective of Hyukkie but, these days, whenever I’ll see different guys smiling at him, greeting him, or even just looking at him makes me want to bite their head off and throw it to Han River. They’re so annoying I can’t stand it!” Donghae started to whine and Yesung just calmly nodded at him. He then reached a hand on the younger’s back and started tapping him softly as an attempt of calming him down. Actually he always did this whenever little Donghae will run to him complaining of everything the world had to offer.

“I think I kind of understand you Hae.” The elder mumbled after a while once he was sure the other had calmed down already.

“What is it?”

“What you’re experiencing right now is just normal considering you being the unofficial bodyguard slash bouncer of Hyukjae.” Yesung paused as he gave the other a warm smile. “Hyukjae coming out to the world made him very vulnerable in the eyes of other people. He likes guys yes, and there will be the man and the ‘woman’ in the relationship and I guess you know to what category Hyukjae falls at right?” He continued and Donghae nodded thoughtfully.
