Promises
DecisionsSuzy kneeled on the sofa, checked herself on the living room's mirror and sighed heavily upon seeing how swollen she was. Her eyes weren't red anymore but they were puffy.
"Omma~" Hana said as she kneeled beside Suzy, hugging her waist.
"Morning, Hana." Suzy greeted the girl and smiled at her through the mirror but her smile quickly became a pout once she saw herself again.
"Wae?" Hana chuckled at Suzy's cuteness.
"I look bloated," Suzy replied and sighed again.
Hana chuckled once more and stood up on the sofa so that she was hugging Suzy by her shoulders.
"It's okay omma. You still are the most beautiful woman on Earth!"
Suzy finally smiled and asked, "Are you saying that because I'm your mom?"
"Ani," Hana shook her head. "I'm saying it because it's the truth. If you don't want that title, then you should wait for me to grow up. I'll become the most beautiful women then!"
Suzy guffawed at the remark and hugged Hana before plopping the two of them into the sofa, tickling the latter until the girl started laughing her whole heart out.
"Omma," Hana managed to mutter a complain between the chortles. "Appa! H-Help!"
Before Suzy could turn, she was lifted from her seat by Sehun, situating himself between Hana and Suzy and Suzy just giggled when she felt Sehun's arms around her waist. Hana gave a short laugh before lying her head above Sehun's lap.
"But.. omma..." Hana said as she looked up to Suzy whose head was lying on Sehun's shoulder. "Why did you cry?"
Both the brightness in Sehun and Suzy's eyes started to change, as well as their facial expressions.
"Because... because when we watched your performance yesterday..." Suzy mumbled. "I realized that you're growing up fast and well. It suddenly made me sentimental."
Sehun nodded and thought, Until when are we going to make up these kind of excuses?
"Awwww," Hana smiled but then her smile melted. "I thought you cried because of appa."
"Me? Why me?" Sehun asked, his eyebrows knitted together.
Hana's face fainted into sadness. "Because you're leaving us tomorrow."
Sehun smiled at the girl's feelings and his hand slowly travelled to the girl's chin, lifting it up. "But that's not a reason for your mother to cry and for you to be sad because I'm surely going back after a week."
"It is a reason to be sad," Hana insisted. "Because missing someone you love is a miserable feeling!"
Sehun smiled warmly and asked, "Where did you read that?"
"Those are my own words!" Hana complained with a pout.
"I understand," Sehun chuckled and patted the girl's head before bringing her closer to him so that he was hugging Suzy on his left and Hana on his right.
"But sometimes, we could shift our feelings into a different emotion.. for the better," Sehun continued. "So instead of being sad while I'm gone, you should be happy because with each passing day, the nearer time comes to our destined meeting."
"Where did you read that?" Suzy asked after a few seconds of comfortable silence.
"Those are my own words!" Sehun answered, raising his voice a little.
Both Hana and Suzy laughed before hugging Sehun tight.
"Can't we just go with you?" Hana asked; her eyes were begging.
However, Sehun shook his head and mumbled, "Both of you have classes."
Hana sighed but then, her face brightened up as an idea came to her mind.
"Then we should do something to Appa before he leaves, right omma?" Hana said as her eyes twinkled mischievously.
"I think so too~" Suzy answered in the same manner.
The next thing Sehun knew, both Hana and Suzy were tickling him and showering him with loud kises.
Jongin fluttered his eyes open and his blurry vision started to adjust to the light. He grunted as he felt a pang in his head and with much difficulty, he sat up. He then realized that he fell asleep on the bathroom, bottles still on the floor with the broken pieces of his bathroom mirror. He remembered punching the mirror when he finished the tablets. He remembered that before the meds knocked the consciousness out of him, he started feeling numb, not even feeling the flowing blood on his knuckles but still devastated by the pain in his chest.
He slowly reached for the sink and coughed before vomitting harshly; he felt like his throat was about to escape too. He coughed hard again a he wiped his mouth clean after his stomach rejected the excessive dosage of medicines. He then turned off the faucet that might have been running for the whole night.
Leaving the mess in the bathroom, he slowly dragged himself onto his bedroom. With his other hand, he removed the broken pieces of glass that were still stuck on his flesh. Once done, he wrapped it around the towel that he managed to get from his nearby drawer. He grunted once again as he raised his foot to see that there was also a piece of glass pierced on his sole . He shook his head before removing it too and placing it above his drawer.
I'm miserable, Jongin thought as he laid himself on his bed. I'm miserable while they are happy.
"Why did I ever do that?" he asked himself as he cupped his face, remembering the night that Suzy found
