Second Controversy
Dara's XOXOTears. Just like the rain tapping on her window, Dara's tears fell. She doesn't remember when was the last time she cried this hard, or on second thought, maybe she does, it's just that remembering it would bring back those memories.
It was the first time when she was still young; living without a father had taken such toll, trying to fight a battle that their family had lost from the start. It was hard, she’d admit, who would want to see your mother cry herself at night and attempt to hurt herself. But she stood tall, after all those tears she’d let fall that night her father left their side, she promised herself never to cry that way again. Never to shed tears that hurtful again.
And maybe that’s why Dara had trouble on trusting people in the first place. She was scared to be left again. But Jiyong was an exception; she had given him her heart, hoping that he’d treasure it forever. I guess there won’t always be a forever.
Dara was a strong girl, yet she cried easily. Ironic? She cries when she can't get a dance step, she leaks over Korean dramas, and she weeps over the minutest things; but this was different, it was different drops that poured through her eyes.
Dara hated how she looked so weak; promising her self that she’d remain strong was a lie. She was at her abode, in the comfort of her family; eating her mom’s home cooked meal while she knitted with her sister.
She hasn’t spoken with Thunder ever since what happened, so her little brother has no clue to what happened. Dara’s honestly scared to what he might possibly do to him.
When the rain finally subsided, so did her tears. She feels like she has no more tears to let go, as if they’d all dried up. Picking up her sweater, she got up and took her keys of her famous Range Rover, and bid goodbye to her mom.
She has nowhere to go, she knows that any minute now, news would spread, and controversy would slip into her life again. How could she handle the pressure the press would put down on her? She was scared. And eventually, her feet drove her to a club; the last resort would be to drink the night away, to forget all the memories, to forget that moment he broke her heart.
She ordered her drink, only hoping to spend time away from home, away from anyone. But admittedly, she also needed someone to talk to; she needed someone to cheer her up. Looking at her phone, she scanned her contact list.
“Seungri?” She shook her head.
“Sanghyun-ah..” Definitely not a choice.
She scanned her list, and then stopped at one particular guy, Park Chanyeol. She was hesitant to call him, because she knows the latter one is busy with his preparations. And for the thought that they weren’t even that close as friends. But she knows that he’s the one that could cheer her up, being the happy virus of their group and all, so she took a deep breath and messaged him.
Her heart beat rapidly, thinking if what she sent sounded demanding or pleading – for a second, she even sounded clingy. Having second doubts about her sent message, her phone suddenly vibrated, giving her a jolt.
“No noona~ Waeyo? :-)” was his reply, and with just a simple text from the kid made Dara’s lips curve. She could imagine the way he looked as he typed his message.
“Can you come and see me right now? Only if you’re not busy that is..” She nervously replied, hoping to the heavens that he'd say yes.
Would Chanyeol already know what could've happened by now? She hoped not. She can't fathom to see Chanyeol pity her about such a bad breakup. And to think Chanyeol was one of the guys rooting for their relationship as well. What would he react? How would he react? She shook her head, hoping those thoughts to stop lingering in her mind, and waited for Chanyeol's arrival eagerly.
He arrived in a few minutes, that bl
