Chapter 7: At different side of them

“My dear Sica” someone said and she was shocked

“OMO NICHKHUN OPPA!” she said excited and hugged him tightly. Nichkhun smiled and caressed her hair

“Sica, right now I’m mad at you for not going to pick me up at the airport like you promised” he said breaking the hug. He pretended to be mad to see her reaction

“Sorry oppa” she said looking down “I had something important to do”

“It’s ok” he said and smiled. He couldn’t stand being mad with her for too long, even if it was just acting. She smiled and hugged him again

“What are you doing here?” she asked him excited

“I study here” he said with a wide grin and Jessica was shocked

“Since when?” she asked

“Since… today” he said and she jumped excited

“Really?” she asked and he nodded

“Hey Khun, I didn’t know you were with your girlfriend” Taecyeon suddenly appeared and teased them, making them blush

“YAH! She is not my girlfriend” he said

“You are Ok Taecyeon, aren’t you?” Jessica asked and he smiled

“Yep that’s me” he answered

“This beast is studying here as well” Nichkhun said

“So… do you know where Yoona is?” he asked and Jessica frowned

“In class, why?” she asked as he looked suspicious

“Humm nothing” he answered rubbing his neck nervously “I guess I’ll see you later”

He left and Jessica stared at him confused.

“Why was he suddenly asking about Yoona?” she asked and Nichkhun didn’t dare to reply “Something smells fishy”

“Maybe it’s just me” someone said from behind Jessica, making her jump startled

“YAH!” she yelled and saw Donghae laughing. She hit her arm hardly

“Why so rude cucumber girl?” he asked her and she sent him a death glance

“Don’t call me cucumber girl!” she yelled at him. Nichkhun was watching the scene amused and coughed to win their attention. Donghae raised an eyebrow and looked at him.

“And you are…?” he asked looking at him from head to toe

“Horvejkul Nichkhun” he said giving him a smile

“Whatever” he said looking at Sica again “So, cucumber girl our date didn’t went as well as planned”

“That was your fault!” she yelled at him

“Wait, date?” Nichkhun asked getting a little bit jealous “You two went on a date?”

“Of course” Donghae said smirking

“He made me go against my will” she explained

“Then you want a second chance?” he asked smiling and she rolled her eyes

“Get lost” she told him

“Don’t think I’ve forgotten what you did to me there” Donghae said “You’ll pay for it. A kiss will solve all the problems”

“Asking me to kiss you again?” she asked chuckling “Wasn’t it enough to be rejected once?”

“I will not consider that as reject” he said smiling as if it was so simply to say it like that “I’ll just consider it as if you are not on your right senses”

Jessica laughed.

“Ok” she said sarcastically

“I told you, I’ll make you fall for me” he said and winked at her

“Let’s see what you can do, Fishy” she said and held Nichkhun’s hand to his surprise. They walked away hand in hand and Donghae was left speechless. He felt mad and a little bit jealous but didn’t want to admit it. Lee Donghae, the playboy, couldn’t be jealous. Could he?

Taeyeon was walking to her next class that was on the second floor. When she arrived to the ladders, she saw Leeteuk there sitting and reading a book. She was surprised to see him there.

“Hey” she said nervously trying to start a conversation

“Hi” he said smiling, something that was weird coming from him

“So what are you doing here? Ditching class?” she asked and he smiled again. Two times in a row, that was a lot.

“Kind of” he replied embarrassed “You know, music class”

“Oh” she said

“I…” they both said at the same time. She blushed and looked down to his book embarrassed

“You go first” she told him

“I just wanted to ask you to keep my secret” Leeteuk said “Please don’t tell anyone”

“I wasn’t going to” she said smiling at him

“So…” he said nervously “What were you going to tell me?”

“Oh” she said remembering “That I’ll go to visit your mom every weekend if you don’t mind”

“I’m sure she’d love that” he said and she smiled

“Thanks” she said and after that there was an awkward silence

“So…” he said breaking the uncomfortable atmosphere “You wanna join me?”

Taeyeon was surpised by that. She couldn’t believe he was asking her that. Taeyeon realized that the annoying guy that was a jerk was gone and now he was nice, or at least he was trying to.

“I’d like to but… I have to go to classes” she said

“Oh sure” he said realizing he had said something stupid

“See you later then” she said waving at him

“Yeah, see you” he said and smiled when she left. He didn’t know why but that awkward conversation between them made him feel good.

(In literature class)

Yesung was trying to work with Yuri but she wasn’t paying attention to anything he was saying.

“Earth to Yuri!” he yelled at her “Where’s your mind?”

“Hmm with Minho?” she said and Yesung felt like punching someone

“I can tolerate you talking of him during lunch but in class too?” he asked mad “Don’t you get tired?!”

“Wow chillax” she said surprised “Is not of your business anyway”

“It is when I have to listen to girl I like talking about another boy!” he yelled and Yuri was shocked

“What did you say?”

On the other side of the room, the atmosphere between yoonwon and seokyu was beyond awkward. Seohyun was trying to work ignoring Kyuhyun but he didn’t stop bothering her. He was getting into her nerves and she couldn’t stand it anymore.

“Why are you such a bully?!” she asked him annoyed and he was surprised by that. Well, at least she was talking to him so he smiled.

“Because it’s funny” he replied

“That’s immature” she said and continued working

“Well I like being childish” he said smiling and she looked at him surprised “I don’t like being too serious about stuff”

“You are already in high school” she said annoyed at his attitude “And you act like a choding”

Kyuhyun chuckled and then looked at her and smiled again. Seohyun didn’t understand how he could smile after hearing everything she had said.

“You are too serious sometimes” he said suddenly and she was shocked with that “You should relax a bit”

“I’m serious because my grades matters!” she said angry at him

“Not everything in life is about grades, Seohyun” he just said

“It is when your father has to overwork to pay for the school” she said and he looked surprised “Not everyone has the luck of being the son of the principal”

“I understand” he said feeling a little guilty “But, still sometimes you shouldn’t take things too seriously”

“Well, being bullied is not funny at all” she said

“Touché” he said smiling

“So, are you going to help me or not?” she asked him a little bit more calmed

“If I have no other choice…” he said paying attention to the work for the first time on the hour that had passed. Seohyun smiled now. At least they could get along better now. If he just stopped flirting with her, they would get along better but of course Cho Kyuhyun would never stop flirting with her.

Meanwhile, Siwon was really concentrated on the work now and Yoona was impressed with him being fond of poetry.  He took his notebook and started reading the poem he had just written.

“Holding you near, holding you tight
Kissing you soft as the day falls to night
Watching you sleep peacefully in bed
Remembering "I love you"
Was the last thing you said”

Yoona was speechless and couldn’t stop staring at Siwon while he was reading it. He was like a completely different person when he wasn’t acting like a jerk. When he finished reading, he looked at her and smiled. Yoona couldn’t help but blush.

“Did you like it?” he asked

“Yes” she said nervously “It was really… touching”

“Thanks” he said smiling

“I can’t believe you are…”

“Good at literature?” he asked finishing her sentence and she nodded

“Yes” she said smiling

“I told you that working with me was a good idea” he said again being full of himself. She just rolled her eyes but she had to admit that he was right.

“I guess so” she said. She went back to her book and shook her head to remove all her thoughts about Siwon.  Siwon just stared at her again while she wasn’t seeing and smiled. Yoona noticed that and blushed but then looked at him.

“Why are you staring at me again?” she asked him and he coughed nervously. He didn’t know she had noticed that.

“How can you notice when I’m staring at you?” he asked surprised

“I feel something heavy on my head and I guess it’s you staring at me” she said and he chuckled

“That sounds funny” he said laughing

“Well, stop doing that” she said seriously

“Do I make you nervous?” he asked playfully and she just avoided his gaze

“No” she kind of lied “I just don’t know why you do it”

“The answer it’s simple” he replied “You are beautiful. I like being around beauty”

Yoona blushed because of his comment and shook her again. She should definitely not think about him that way.

Sooyoung and Hankyung were watching the whole scene amused.

“From the way I see it, you are going to lose the bet Soo” he whispered to her

“That doesn’t mean anything” she as she couldn’t believe it “Of course my brother knows how to charm a girl but I’m pretty sure he is already falling for her too. He is just too stubborn to admit it”

“This is going to be so interesting” Hankyung said enjoying it “It’s better than a movie. And for the first time I’m seeing Choi Siwon truly falling for a girl”

“Hey if I happen to lose this bet, you are going to help me” she said and he looked confused

“Help you how?” he asked

“Being Siwon’s slave?” she answered and he chuckled

“I love you and Siwon is my friend but I’d would never be Choi Siwon’s slave” he said “I’d ratter work for Donghae and Kyuhyun at the same time”

“That sounds so bad” she said

“He is your brother, you know him” he said smirking

“Oh god, I totally have to make sure to win this bet” she said sighing

“What are you planning to do?” he asked her “Preventing Yoona from falling for him?”

“No, that’s y” she replied and he laughed “I will help my brother realize his feelings faster. I’d love to have Yoona as my sister in law”

“Then I’ll help you” he said and Sooyoung smiled “I really want to see Siwon confessing in front of the school”

He chuckled and they continued working. It was going to be funny to see who would win the bet.
