Chapter 14: Things weren’t as easy as expected

Ye eun was walking back to her room when she saw something that she couldn’t believe. She saw how Kyuhyun kissed Seohyun’s cheek and she was more than angry.

“Why was that?” she asked surprised

“My prize” he said smiling mischievously “Let’s just hope this works”

“I think it will work” Seohyun said happily “They are already talking to each other”

“Faking to be a couple was a really nice idea” Kyuhyun said laughing evilly “They really believed us”

When Ye eun heard it was all lie, she decided that she had to do something about it. She knew that her friends had done a lot to break them apart and she couldn’t let the maknaes ruin it with their little lie. Besides, she couldn’t bear to see Kyu with another girl.

Seohyun and Kyuhyun were watching the six people and they noticed how they suddenly became silent and awkward.

“So what are we going to do now?” Leeteuk asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence

“Why don’t we find another boyfriend for Seo” Taeyeon said “Someone nice and sweet”

“But she isn’t close with many guys” Yoona said

“How about Nichkhun oppa?” Jessica suddenly suggested and Donghae frowned. He hated that she always had to mention him.

“I thought he was your boyfriend” he said sulky. She noticed his rude tone and glared at him.

“Jealous much fish face?” she

“In your dreams cucumber girl” he replied and they glared at each other

“Oh come on guys, stop flirting with each other” Taeyeon teased them

“WE ARE NOT FLIRTING!”  they said and Taeyeon shrugged

“Back to our point” Leeteuk said suddenly “I think we should get Kyu another girlfriend too”

“Like who?” Siwon asked thinking “We know many girls would die to be with him but he is very selective”

“Mmm how about your cousin Victoria?” Donghae asked Siwon

“Not a bad idea but I’m not sure if she will help us with this” Siwon said

“I know a guy that’s perfect for Seo!” Yoona said excited as she came up with an idea

“Oh you are a genious” Siwon said sarcastically

“Shut up, at least my brain works better than yours” she said and Donghae and Leeteuk laughed

“So, who is the person?” Taeyeon asked

“Remember that guy named Jung Yonghwa?” she asked and her sisters smiled

“Oh yeah he seemed pretty close with her” Jessica said excited

“So we get Seo a new boyfriend and Kyuhyun and new girlfriend and that’s it?” Taeyeon asked still unsure

“We have a plan” Leeteuk said “But how are we going to get them to break up?”

In that moment, Taeyeon’s phone started buzzing. She was confused because she didn’t know why someone was sending her a message so suddenly. The number was unkwon so she didn’t who was sending it.

“Who is it?” Jessica asked as she saw confusion in Taeyeon’s eyes

“A message from a stranger” she replied

“And what does it says?” Yoona asked

Taeyeon opened and read aloud.

No need to plan anything. Their relationship is fake. You are wasting your time because they are just making fun of you with their little lie

A friend

“WHAT?” they all asked shocked

“I can’t believe that evil maknae would do this to us!” Siwon said frustated

“I think this person is lying!” Jessica said “Seo wouldn’t do that to us”

“But think about it guys” Donghae said thinking deeply “Seohyun wouldn’t date a playboy like Kyuhyun just like that and a playboy like him wouldn’t stick to just one girl”

“You have a point” Leeteuk said but he was still unsure

“So this was a lie?” Yoona questioned and no one knew what to answer

“Evilkyu will hear us!” Donghae said angry and walked out of the room followed by Siwon and Leeteuk. Taeyeon, Yoona and Jessica walked out too and went to look for the maknae.

Ye eun, who had sent the message, smiled with satisfaction as she saw them walking out of them room with angry faces. Seohyun and Kyuhyun who were still hidden, were confused to see them so angry.

“I think we are in trouble” Seohyun said a little bit nervous

Seohyun knew what was coming when she saw her sisters approached to her with their mad faces.

“Seo Joo Hyun!” Taeyeon said. She knew it was really bad because Taeyeon used her real name only if it was really important. “Why did you lie to us?!”

“Unnies, I’m sorry” she said looking down “I just did because it was plan to get you to talk to the guys again”

“Why would you want us to talk those jerks again?” Jessica asked in disbelief

“Because you girls are always sad and mad since you started the war” she said

“But you’ve never lied to us before” Yoona said disappointed

“Are you guys mad at me?” she asked them

“Not mad” Jessica said “Disappointed”

“Yeah we never thought our baby would lie to us” Taeyeon said and Seohyun felt really bad.

“And just to make it clear… we don’t want to be friends with them” Yoona said and Taengsic nodded in agreement

“Yah! WHY DID YOU LIE TO US?!” Donghae yelled at Kyuhyun. He was really mad at him

“Because I just wanted you guys to talk to the girls again!” Kyuhyun defended himself “You should thank me!”

“Why would you want us to talk to them again?!” Siwon asked

“Because you’ve been acting like idiots since you stopped being friends with them!” Kyuhyun said annoyed

“We were never friends witht hem!” Donghae said

“At least you used to talk to them!”

“Maknae, these are our personal issues and you shouldn’t have butted in!” Leeteuk scolded him

“We don’t want to be friends with them” Siwon said and they agreed

“Whatever you say” Kyuhyun said mad and left them alone.

He decided to go and take a walk in the beach to release all his stress. He couldn’t believe that his friends were so stubborn. He wanted to hit them!

As he was walking, he heard someone crying. He looked around to see where it was coming from and finally saw her.

He was shocked to see Seohyun sitting by herself, hugging her knees and crying. He didn’t know why he felt the urge to go and comfort her. He sat next to her without making much noise and patted her back.

“Why are you crying?” he asked her softly. He was surprised at himself because he had never been that sweet to anyone before.

“My sisters are disappointed at me because I lied to them” she said sobbing. She was so innocent that it made him smile.

“My hyungs are mad at me too but they are just being stubborn” he said “They don’t want to admit that they miss each other”

“Kyuhyun sshi I think it would be better if we don’t talk to each other either” Seohyun said and Kyuhyun was shocked

“What?” he asked “Why?”

“I don’t want more misunderstandings with my sisters” she said really sad and Kyuhyun understood.

“Ok” he said sad. He stood up and left with his heart broken. He thought he could have been friends with her but now he didn’t know anymore.

Ye eun was really happy with the results of her plan and was smiling evilly as she saw Kyuhyun leaving.

The next day, it was finally time to return. The trip had been perfect at first but then it turned into a nightmare for them.  Donghae had been so stressed that he even forgot to change the sitting arrangement and when he realized that, he hit his forehead hardly.

“Pabo!” he scolded himself. Well, it wouldn’t kill him to sit next to her for a few hours. He sat down and waited for Jessica to arrive. When she arrived, she glared at him and sat down.

“You didn’t even bother to change the seats?” she asked him

“I didn’t have time!” he said mad

“Too bad for you, you don’t get to sit with your precious Hara” she said looking away mad.

“What are you talking about?” he asked confused. He didn’t understand why she was suddenly bringing her up

“No need to deny it, I saw you kissing her” she said and was trying to hold back her tears

“WHAT?!” he asked shocked. Now he understood why she hadn’t been talking to him since the day he saved her.

Seohyun took her seat next to Kyuhyun and felt really awkward. It was really uncomfortable to spend the whole trip sitting next to him after she told him they shouldn’t be friends.

“Are you really sure you don’t want us to be friends?” Kyuhyun asked her suddenly

“I thought our relationship improved a lot in this trip” he continued and she smiled because she knew it was true. Who would have thought that a stupid plan like that would bring them closer?

“At least I don’t hate you now” she said and he laughed “But yes, I’m sure. I don’t want more problems with my sisters”

“I understand” he said “But that’s too bad because I liked hanging out with you”

Yoona went to take her seat and didn’t expect that Siwon would arrive and sit next to her. She thought that they had changed the seating arrangements but she was wrong. He sighed frustrated.

“I’m going to kill a certain fish when we arrive at Seoul” he mumbled and then looked at Yoona “You can go and sit with your boyfriend Taecyeon if you want”

“Taecyeon is not my boyfriend” she said and was tired to repeat it

“Siwon… that night I didn’t went to see you because…” she tried to explain once more. She didn’t know why she felt the need to explain everything to him.

“You were with Taecyeon! Yes, I saw it!” he said mad “You don’t need to explain, we are not couple”

“I feel like I have to explain it all” she told him

“What’s the point of telling me this now?” he asked still sulky “You weren’t there. You didn’t see everything I did for you”

“I’m sorry” she said but Siwon didn’t reply.

Leeteuk and Taeyeon were silent and weren’t even facing each other.  He turned to look at her and tried to start a conversation

“Taeyeon…”

“I thought you didn’t talk to traitors” she said mad “Oh but stupid me, thinking that the guy would trust his friend more than a stupid gossip!”

Leeteuk was speechless because he could feel that she was hurt. He knew he did wrong but he didn’t know how to fix it.

“I was too mad to think properly” he said “I know you didn’t do that, I just thought you may have spilled my secret by accident”

“You were wrong!” she yelled at him “Too bad you don’t trust your friends!”

“I’m sorry” he said “Are you going to forgive me someday?”

“I don’t think so” she said seriously and looked away
