Zhang Yixing and Kim Joonmyun are your average boy/boy couple living in one of the more homophobic countries in the world, South Korea. No matter that, they're pretty happy. Freshly out of high school and now on the way to the rest of their lives, tertiary education is sitting on their doorsteps (or more so, banging quite loudly at the wooden frame), but what happens when one gets into somewhere slightly unexpectedly?

Well, let's just say Yixing wishes Joonmyun wasn't not so dumb that he had to be away from home, and Joonmyun just wishes he never had to go

But hey, he'll be back before they know it!

They hope. 

Joonmyun sleepily rubbed his eyes as he went outside to collect the post, it was three in the afternoon and he couldn’t help but smile when he thought that tomorrow morning Yixing would be on Korean ground again, back from visiting his family in China. What made him smile more was the realization that by now he’d be with him again. He’d missed his boyfriend too much (even if it’d only been a week and a half, and they’d gone on video chat every night), and couldn’t wait to see his reaction when he picked him and his parents up from the airport- Yixing didn’t know, but Joonmyun had organized with his parents to do so.

He went inside and placed the mail on the table, sifting through to see if there was anything important. He was expecting acceptance or rejection letters from the universities he’d applied to any time soon, but this was weird because he never remembered applying for Stanford. That was in America, he hadn’t applied to any American university… Why would he?

On first instinct he thought that maybe he should just throw it out- it was giving off extremely bad vibes, and not to mention it seemed like disaster central. Sometimes the problem with Joonmyun, however, is that he’s a curious person, and this certain trait got the better of him in some circumstances that it probably shouldn’t. Slowly, he opened the letter, one eye open, kind of like he thought something was going to jump out, before unfolding it and scanning down the page.

His eyes slowly widened as he looked at the contents. It was written firstly in English, and then in Korean underneath (not that he needed that, as he was fluent in both languages), and considering it had his name on it, he knew it was directed at him.

At this point in time, he didn’t care what time it was for his parents. All he knew was that he needed to talk to them, because how did this happen, and more importantly, why the hell hadn’t he been told about this?

... How is he going to tell Yixing?
