Worlds Collide
Luhan shook his head and sat down.
Kris stared at Jungah.
“When did you arrive?”
“Just a few days ago.” He replied, then he looked at Kris.
“Right, sorry. Uhm, Kris this is Kim Jongin, Kai this is Kris.” She nodded, Kai smiled and stepped forward to shake Kris’s hand.
“Nice to meet you.”
“Same here.”
Luhan wanted to bite fist to prevent his laughter.
“Do you plan to stay long?” Luhan asked Kai.
“I don’t know hyung, my schedule’s pretty tentative.”
Jungah nodded.
“Are you free tonight?” Kai nudged her.
“What are you up to?” She asked.
“We should go out, like the good old days.”
“What kind of go out? You making out with girls again?” She smiled wanly.
“Nope, I only have you in my eyes, babe.” Kai grinned and wrapped one arm around her waist.
“Just give me a call if you have plans, now get off.”
Soon, Kai and Luhan left the office. Kris sat down on Jungah’s chair as she glanced at the window.
“Who….” Kris started, Jungah smiled.
“You mean Kai?”
Kris remained silent.
“Met him during my university days back in the US.”
Kris nodded, then she turned to him and chuckled.
“You’re coming with me tonight, right?”
“Where?”
“We’re going out tonight, Li Jiaheng. I think Kai would bring Chanyeol oppa with him.”
Kris just nodded.
“Ya.” Jungah walked to him, Kris looked up.
“I know you’re usually quiet, but you’re being eerily quiet.”
“I just started to realize how many male friends you have.”
Jungah smiled then she leaned down to level with his gaze.
“I know.” She said as she pecked his forehead.
Kris smiled.
“I’ll pick you up tonight.” He said as he stood up, Jungah nodded. Then Kris squeezed her hand gently before leaving.
Lay looked up as his cousin joined him on the couch in the living room.
“Are you going out?” He asked as he addressed her velvet A-line mini dress that showed bared her shoulders.
“Yeah, Kai invited me.”
“Right, I heard he’s back, is he coming to pick you up?”
“No, Kris is.” She replied as she leaned back on the couch. Lay smiled.
“Ni xihuan ta.(You like him.)”
Jungah nodded without looking at her cousin.
“But, ge…I don’t do well in relationships.” She frowned sideways.
“What are you saying?” Lay looked at her.
“Mei, just trust yourself, you’ve been protecting yourself too much. Maybe it’s time to step out and try new things.” Lay nodded and placed a reassuring hand on the back of her neck.
“Kris ge loves you.”
“Inspiring words from the unicorn.” She mused, as she leaned on her cousin. Lay smiled.
Jungah stepped out of the gate and found Kris leaning on his Murcielago clad in a pair of dark jeans, a white v-neck shirt and charcoal colored jacket.
“Ready to go?” He asked. Jungah smiled and shut the gate behind her.
“I was wondering,” She started as she walked to him.
“Haera called me today.” Kris stated. Jungah paused and looked up. Kris was frowning.
“Why would she…”
“She wanted to talk. I said I didn’t want to meet her.”
Jungah nodded then Kris wrapped his arms around her, burying his face on the crook of her neck.
“I just had to tell you that, it seems the right thing to do.”
“Does it bother you?”
“No, I just…didn’t expect it.” Kris replied. Jungah smiled.
“I don’t want to see her too, well maybe I can see her, but I must bring with me a sledgehammer or something.” She said trying to lighten up the mood.
Kris chuckled softly then he let go.
“Let’s go.”
“And…I have a few things I need to say to you.” Jungah bit her lip.
“What is it?”
“I have a feeling its either you’re going to laugh at me or not like it.”
