Worlds Collide
Jungah’s eyes widened.
“Agung, what are you talking about?” Luhan balked.
“I have arranged this since last year. Marrying into the Han Industries-”
“We are not going there, Agung.” Jungah frowned and looked at Seungwoo.
“Jungah, please not here.”
“Well, please not ever.” Jungah replied.
“Xi Feilin!” Agung’s voice turned cold.
“Agung, you can punish me all you want but I will not marry this stranger.”
“That’s why I introduced you-”
“Agung, stop. I am not-”
“I don’t care what you say, young lady. But I will announce your engagement!” He snapped.
Kris looked up as he saw a familiar figure walk away from the crowd, he didn’t forget the burgundy mini dress and spiked ankle booties.
“What is she doing?” He murmured.
Jungah ran her fingers through her hair in frustration. Kris blinked, then he noticed the same man who had approached her earlier, following her.
He bit his lip and looked at Jungah again, then he called,
”Jungah! Wait!”
She paused and looked up, Kris made his way to her.
“That guy’s following you.”
Jungah glanced at Seungwoo, who had stepped back as soon as he saw Kris. She sighed and rubbed her temples.
“Can I borrow your car, Kris?”
“Are you going to cause trouble?”
“Nope, I’m running away from it.”
Kris nodded, then he slowly took out his keys and dropped them on her palm.
“A Maserati, nice.” She grinned at him before setting off.
Kris brows furrowed as he watched her speed away.
“She took off?” Lay asked, Luhan shook his head while rubbing his temples.
“I don’t know what Agung is planning.”
“Arranged marriage?” Kris asked, Luhan frowned at him.
“She took my car and left.”
“You let her take your car?” Lay blinked.
“Well, she let me take hers.”
“Do you think we can locate her?”
Jungah killed the engine and slipped off the car, she was at COEX. She made her way towards the entrance and began to look for the bookstore she just heard about.
“Marriage? Huh.” She spat as she entered the doors.
She stepped in the library, ignoring the curious stares from the others because of her attire, then she felt a hand wrap around her wrist.
“They’re looking for you.”
“I know.” She muttered back without facing the person.
“Jungah?”
She sighed and faced Kris.
“Here.” She took out his keys from her purse.
“I..wasn’t here for that.”
“Well, take it. I can take a cab home, Kris.”
“No, it’s fine.” He shook his head.
“How did you know I went here?”
“The car, I had GPS-”
Jungah nodded and began to look around her.
“You like books?”
“No, I like to read. I need to get to the English section.” She replied as she walked away from him.
Kris watched her thoughtfully and decided to follow her.
“No plans of going home?” He asked as he caught up with her.
“Nope.”
“Did you even eat?”
“A mini sandwich.” She grinned at him before bending down to get a book.
“You should eat.” Kris nodded.
“Maybe later, Li Jiaheng.”
“Just Kris.”
“Sure, Wu Yifan.”
“Mei.”
“Okay, stop.” She cringed.
Kris chuckled, and took her by the elbow.
“Come on, we’re going to eat.”
