Worlds Collide
The girl blinked and tried to pull her arm away, Kris just stared her down.
“Jungie, do you know him?” Chanyeol whispered.
“What are you saying?! Let go of me!”
“She owns the hotel, so if you want to hit her, bring her with you outside.” Kris said firmly before letting her go. The other girl balked and stared at Jungah.
Jungah bit her lip.
“I hate you, Park Chanyeol.” She whispered. Kris turned to Jungah.
“Before you cause any more mess, let’s go up.”
“She started it first.” Jungah said as they stepped in the elevator.
“Hm, I noticed.”
“Ya!”
“You always get into fights.”
Jungah closed .
“You were helping him, weren’t you?”
“He’s a good friend of mine, I couldn’t say no.”
Kris nodded silently then they arrived at the floor.
“Luhan probably told you who he is.”
“Ex-boyfriend.” Kris replied.
Jungah nodded and crossed her arms.
“Your Jungah get up is back.”
“Give me a break, Kris. We’re not working now.”
Kris laughed, he laughed openly.
“I didn’t say anything.”
“You were judging me.”
“I wasn’t.” Kris shook his head.
“Shut up.”
Jungah and Kris stepped in the place, then they stopped. Inside the private reserved hall, Lay was seated with Luhan and Haera.
Jungah wanted to slap herself.
“I thought this was a family dinner.” She said, Lay looked at Kris.
“Kris is part of the family, he’s Luhan’s best friend.”
“Feilin!” Luhan frowned.
“Agung?” She asked.
“On his way.”
Jungah noded, then she felt the change in the atmosphere again.
“I didn’t know this was a meeting too.” She started. Haera just smiled at her.
“I’m sure it’s just a meal, we can talk over stuff too.” Haera looked at her. Jungah returned her smile mockingly.
“Maybe.”
“Mei.” Luhan looked at her.
“Shenme?” Jungah smirked at him and leaned back.
“What are you doing, Jungah?” Kris turned to her.
“Sitting down.”
“You’re being rude to her, she was just being-”
Agung entered the room.
“Yo, Agung.” Jungah grinned, Haera stood up to greet the old man.
“Ta weisheme zai zhe li?(Why is she here?)” Jungah asked.
“I wanted to talk to her regarding the project too, mei.” Agung said in a flat tone, Jungah nodded and began to eat.
Then Agung started to discuss the new project with Haera and Kris, Jungah chose to concentrate on her food and remained quiet. Lay observed his cousin. He had a feeling she was up to something.
“Mei, you should be like Haera, she took over at such a young age and is doing well.” Agung looked at Jungah.
“Look, she’s even doing this project without any help from her father.”
Jungah just pursed her lips and chewed.
“Don’t pressure her too much, mister Xi.” Haera smiled. Luhan glanced at his sister.
If there was one thing that Jungah hated the most, it would be comparing her to others.
“But, Agung, Jungah did well today. She presented her idea to the board, they all liked it.” Luhan started, just to ease up his sister’s mood.
“I’m sure she got help from, Kris.” Agung chuckled.
Jungah looked up, Lay tensed.
“I forgot I have an appointment, I have to go.”
“But this is family dinner, mei.” Agung said.
“Really?” She chuckled and stood up.
“I didn’t know, agung.”
Jungah reached the elevators and pressed the close button, but then Luhan arrived and joined her.
“What?”
Luhan just smiled at her and gently wrapped his arms around his sister.
“Mei, just relax. Agung’s just challenging you.”
Jungah nodded and hugged him back.
“But that’s too much, in front of strangers too.”
Luhan smiled and let go of her. Then he took her hand.
“Shall oppa take you to ice cream to make you feel better?”
Jungah cringed.
“Please, just don’t.”
