"So the two of you are hanging out after school again?" One of her friend spoke up and Enri nodded her head slowly as she chewed on her food. "Just when are the two of you getting married?" Her other friend and she sighed. This was one of the regular conversations they had. Sentences like, 

'When are the two of you getting married?'

'Why can't you see that he likes you too?'

'You should totally make the first move!'

All sorts of other words of encouragements and teasing would be out for her but nothing could make her confess to him. Who is this fateful boy who stole her heart for four years you may think?

"Enri-ah!" A voice called her out across the cafeteria and she gulped when she lifted her head. "There he comes." Her friend beside her sang a little and her friends left the table. "Guys!" She hissed a little but she mentally thanked them for giving them some privacy. "Yeah?" She responded softly the moment he sat down in front of her, panting with a smile on his face.

He was perspiring and she took out a piece of tissue to dab on his forehead gently. He smiled and closed his eyes as he leaned closer. "Thanks, Enri-ah." He smiled warmly and instantly she could turn into goo right there and there. Kim Joon Myun was his name, or nicknamed as Suho. He was this angel sent from above (according to Enri's description), he had the most warmest smile and his hugs were the best things yet. He has hugged her a few times but it was all for the friendship the two had shared with one another. There was not one day you can see Joon Myun and Enri not hanging out because they were inseparable, but they were friends. Close friends.

She's been keeping her feelings inside a bottle for Joon Myun for so long, she wonders when will she have the guts and courage to let it all out to him. She feels scared. She wasn't afraid of admitting she likes him but she's afraid of what would happen after she confessed. She's seen it in movies, she's read it in novels and it's not as easy as she thinks it is. She tried confessing before many, many, many times but she would back out in the end. Whenever she saw photos of him, she couldn't help but tingle a little inside and she wanted to just come out with her feelings. Unfortunately, she wasn't that brave.

"So...?" She dragged the word as she put the tissue aside. He inhaled and exhaled heavily as he looked into her eyes. "I have something to tell you."

She her lips nervously and played with her fingers. "Y-Yeah?"

"It's something important."

"And...?"

"And..." He motioned her with two fingers. She leaned closer and he whispered, "I'll tell you later."

She leaned away immediately as her cheeks were heating up. Not because of what he said but because of how close they were. She pointed at him and threw the used tissue at him. "You idiot." She stood up from the table and walked away. "Sorry Enri-ah! You know you love me!" He shouted across the cafeteria and she jogged out of the cafeteria. When she was out, she leaned her back against the nearby wall with her heart beating fast.

He says I know I love him but... does he know I love him?

Enri, get a grip on yourself. You heard the way he said it.

He obviously doesn't.

What does he want to tell me anyway?

Stupid Joon Myun.

Suho.

Pft.

From there Enri headed to her class.

"Where is he?" She mumbled softly as she leaned against the tree. School ended thirty minutes ago and they agreed to meet each other at the park nearby their house. Luckily for them, they were neighbours as well. The sound of her phone ringing made her jerk up but she pulled out her phone to read a text from her friend, Jin Ee.

How's your date coming along? ^^ Confess to him now! It's the perfect chance! Us girls will be supporting you here, hwaiting! <3

"What are you reading?" A voice came behind her and she hurriedly stuffed her phone into her pocket when she analyzed whose voice that was. "D-Don't sneak up on me like that!" She placed a hand on her chest, obviously shocked and a bit surprised. He chuckled and ruffled her hair before he sat down opposite her. "What was it you wanted to tell me?" Enri asked softly and he lifted his chin the moment he sat down.

"Hmm..." He thought about it for a while as he tapped his chin. The sight of him in front of her now made her heart skip a beat. Every single time he does that when he's thinking, made her realize how handsome he was whenever she saw him like this. She was contemplating in her mind whether she should tell him or not. She played with her fingers on her lap as she avoided his eyes because she couldn't look at him. The three words in her mind was constantly getting bigger.

I like you.

I like you.

I like you.

They were all flashing in her mind and she couldn't help but just say, "I have something to tell you."

"Oh? Then let me go first." Joon Myun smiled at her cheekily and she nodded slowly, thanking him inwardly as she didn't want to be the first one telling him what was on her mind.

"See I met this girl and... she's everything I wanted in a girl. She's gorgeous, her smile is incredible and she has a great personality. I've been liking her for a while now and I think I want to make the first move on her. Could you help me with that?"

With that, everything in her mind faded away. Those three words that was constantly flashing in her mind suddenly dimmed down and slowly, it disappeared. The colors around her that were so bright, started losing it's color and she gulped as she clasped her hands together tightly. "R-Really?" She croaked out, trying to cover her disappointment as she tried to show she was happy by smiling widely. Joon Myun nodded twice and she pried her hands away from one another to show two thumbs up. "T-That's great, Joon Myun-ah."

"So will you help me?" He asked her with his eyes having a slight sparkle in them. How could she say no? She nodded once and he pulled her in for a tight hug. "Thank you Enri-ah! Thank you!" He hugged her so tight, that she couldn't help but let a tear roll down her cheek as it landed on his shoulder. Joon Myun didn't realize anything as he squeezed her. Before she could even wrap her arms around him, he pulled away from the hug only to let his smile fade away slowly when he saw the look in her eyes. 

"E-Enri-ah... What's wrong?"

She shook her head as she rubbed her eyes. "N-Nothing, it's just... Something went into my eye." She mumbled softly as she got up with a bag over her shoulder. "W-We'll discuss your date with this girl over the phone and... yeah." She couldn't say anything else anymore as her mind wasn't working now. All she wanted to do was cry her heart out even though she knows she has no right to do so. Joon Myun wasn't hers and he was allowed to be with whoever he wanted to be. She had many chances to tell him she loves him but her chances ran out.

He's not mine, so why am I crying? You're funny, Enri-Ah.

"Are you sure you're alright? What got in your eye?" He asked worriedly as he stood up to face her. She waved a hand as she turned around, not letting him see the remaining tears left in her. "I don't know,"

"Like dirt or... a branch." She said the last word softly, not letting Joon Myun hear because it was pure sarcasm.

"I guess... I'll call you tonight, Enri-ah."

Enri gave a nod before she ran off to her house. When she opened the door to her house, her mother chimed a bright,

"My lovely daughter!"

"I can't talk right now." Enri said those words in one go as she ran up the stairs to her room. Enri dashed towards her room and slammed the door shut with her bag slowly falling from her shoulders when she slid her back against the door. She placed a hand over to muffle her cries and she couldn't hear her mother knocking the door on the other side. "Ri? Are you alright? What happened?" Her mother sounded so worried and Enri was sorry she couldn't explain it to her mother but she wasn't in the condition to explain it either.

"Ri? C-Can you please tell me what happened?" Her mother kept asking and she couldn't hold it in anymore. She stood up from the door and kicked her bag aside to open the door. Her mother's eyes widened and Enri spreaded her arms a little, showing her mother she wanted a hug. "Mom..." Enri cried out as her mother lunged in a little to pulled her daughter into a hug. "Shh... What's wrong?"

"He found another girl, mom. He found... someone better." Enri's mother kept silent and continued to her daughter's hair. Her mother saw this coming and she definitely knows about this crush Enri has been holding in for Joon Myun. Her mother knew that this day would come.

A phonecall came ringing and her heart probably leaped out of her chest, knowing it was Joon Myun calling. She sighed but answered the call. "Hello?" She softly answered and Joon Myun whispered, "Come out the balcony."

Her eyes widened as she stood up from her bed to walk towards the door. She opened the door and stepped out to see Joon Myun on the street in front of her.

"Come down!" Joon Myun smiled at her under the moonlight but everything he was doing was harder for her.

"C-Can you tell me what you want for your date?" She shouted as they were talking with one another without their phones now.

"Come down and we'll plan it together. The date is tomorrow!"

Her eyes widened as she gulped, clenching onto her phone with two of her hands.

So soon?

"W-Where do you want it to be at?"

"Enri-ah! Come down here!"

She shook her head and remained standing on her balcony. "Where will the date be?" She shouted and he smiled a little.

"At the cafe we always go to!" 

Why there? Pick somewhere else, please. You can't use the place we always go to for your date. Anywhere else but there.

"W-Why there?" Enri managed to ask and Joon Myun smiled. "Because I like it there!"

I like it too but you don't see me bringing other guys there.

"I... I'll call the owner and book a table for you guys! Have fun tomorrow!" Enri shouted in one go and walked back into her room but Joon Myun shouted her name. She gulped and took a step forward to look down on him.

"Could you come with me tomorrow? I want you to be there to meet her! She says she knows you and I don't want this date to be awkward!" Joon Myun shouted and she pressed her lips together, suppressing her tears. Being that idiot she is, she shouted back, "A-Alright!"

He pressed his lips together this time, sensing something was wrong. She shut the door immediately as she turned around to fall to her knees. Tears started to flow down her cheeks as she held onto her phone as she was going to make reservations. Joon Myun rubbed his hands together before he climbed the wall of Enri's house until he reached her balcony. He walked towards the window with a smile on his face that soon faded when from the back he could see Enri's body trembling. He could see tears falling onto the ground and he raised his hand to knock on the window but he froze when he saw Enri's mother walking in.

Enri's mother easily saw Joon Myun's face and she closed the curtains by the window and by the balcony doors as well as locking it. "En-!" He called her out halfway but he couldn't the moment the sight of Enri crying pierced through his heart. He decided not to bother her and left.

"Are you there yet?" Joon Myun asked as Enri was standing inside the cafe. She nodded her head even though he couldn't see it along with a soft "Yeah."

"I'll be right there!" He chimed before he hung up. Enri breathed out as she leaned back against the chair in the cafe.

"Hey." Joon Myun entered the cafe and sat down in front of her. He rubbed his hands together on the table but she got up. Joon Myun his lips nervously but she pushed the chair in. "I... I have to go actually. Have fun on your date, alright?"

"W-Wait, Enri-ah."

She stopped walking and turned around to look at him. "How do I look?"

She smiled weakly as she took in the image of him wearing a jacket along with a white tank top inside. He wore black slacks and white sneakers to match the whole look. His smile was the finishing touch to his overall appearance that she smiled a little again. "You look great. Really great." She showed a thumbs up but Joon Myun's lips parted. "E-Enri-ah, why are you crying?" He asked inaudibly but she shook her head vigrously with a hand over . She promised herself she wouldn't cry. From there she ran out of the cafe, away from the boy she loved for four years to recollect her thoughts. Joon Myun had an arm out to reach for her but she ran out too fast until he couldn't even have a chance to get an answer.

He sat down on his chair as he looked across the table where his date should be sitting at. He looked at his watch and he sighed a little. "And here I wait."

Enri was calming herself down as she hid herself behind a tree a distance from the cafe but she could see Joon Myun clearly from the glass window. She stopped crying a few minutes ago and she couldn't cry anymore. She could see him playing with his phone as he waited. From there she waited with him, wanting to see who is the lucky girl.

From 10 minutes to 30 minutes, from 30 minutes fo 45 minutes and then it was close to an hour. Enri breathed out heavily but anger filled inside of her instead. How could a person stand Joon Myun up? It was just ridiculous. Joon Myun even got flowers for her damn it! She couldn't help herself but barge into the cafe as she stood by his table. He lifted his chin and his eyes widened. 

"Enri!"

"Let's go, we're leaving." She turned around but he didn't follow her. She spun around angrily as she gripped onto his wrist.

"I said we're leaving."

"Why?"

"What do you mean why?! Your date stood you up! She doesn't deserve a guy like you! Who could ever stand you up?"

She was panting as she mumbled a soft, "I know I would never do that to you." She looked away and he smiled a little as he pulled his hand away from hers. Enri looked back at Joon Myun and he reached over for his bouquet of flowers.

"It's funny that you said you won't stand me up but, you did."

She furrowed her eyebrows as she took a step back. "What?"

"It's also funny because I see my date in front of me right now. If she would like to go on this date with me, we still have time."

"J-Joon Myun."

"If you accept these flowers, I'll take it as you accept my heart."

A tear rolled down her cheek and a smile crept onto her face as she reached out for the flowers. Joon Myun pulled her in for a hug as he was literally crushing the flowers but that wasn't on his mind right now.

"So stop crying over me, idiot. I mean it each time I say it and I'll say it again just so you remember it clearly."

"S-Say what?"

"I love you, Enri-ah."
