Eyes glued to the screen in front of you, you began typing away. Faster. Your fingers began pressing the buttons to create a word, then it turned into sentences, before turning into a paragraph. Not long after a sigh escaped your mouth. “This is harder than I thought,” you grumbled.

You started massaging your shoulder as it ached from tensing too much. “If only Daehyun was helping me.” But you shook your head, you rather die trying than get help from people. Leaving burdens on others was not your thing, especially leaving a lazy impression on someone who doesn’t know as much.

Stretching your arms above your head, you smiled as you decided on one thing. The assignment can wait. Shutting down your computer, you sighed happily. “It’s me time now.” The words that escaped your mouth was the exact opposite of what happened after.

“JiHyun!” someone called. Ears perked up at the sound and turned around with a flat expression.

“What do you want” you answered flatly, not happy that someone ruined your time alone.

“I have been searching for you! JiHyun-unnie, please help me on something” RiRin chirped. Staring back with dull eyes and fake disappointment, you replied.

“What! Why?” RiRin cried out, hugging onto your arm dramatically.

“Because, every time I help you I always end up getting in trouble. Besides you only use unnie with me if you wanted something, really badly,” you stated, crossing your arms after peeling RiRin off you.

“B-But.” Tears started to form in her eyes as you stared at her with a deadpanned expression.

“No means no.”

Without a second too late, tears started to stream down RiRin’s face. You looked at her without moving an inch. You were faced with an actress. A person who can change personalities in a split second. If you weren’t careful, you would be falling into her trap.

Your head throbbed as words kept hitting you like an arrow. You made her cry. Guiltiness spread throughout your body as you looked at her small form. With another sigh, you uncrossed your arms and wrapped your arms around her in a comforting way.

“Okay. I will help you, just don’t cry anymore,” you said, patting her hair.

As you said those words, RiRin’s expression beamed with joy. “Thank you JiHyun! I love you so much!” she squealed, getting up from the chair you were sitting on and started dancing. Tears that were present before had already vanished from her snow white skin.
