You flushed pink as you held the present closer to your arms. You have bought a scarf for Daehyun and was planning to give it to him today. The winter season has started and the white snow came earlier than expected. ‘I hope he likes it.’

You exhaled, watching your breathe become foggy in the air. You walked towards the home of the mask boy of your dreams, clutching the bag holding the scarf, tightly. When you reached the door, you hesitantly knocked. Holding your breathe, you replay the scenario you have planned out in your head-making sure you won’t make a mistake.

Footsteps could be heard and the door opened revealing Daehyun in a thick jumper and baggy pants. ‘Still wearing the mask,’ you sweat dropped at this.

“Yes?” Daehyun spoke out, tilting his head to the side in a questioning manner. Your lips trembled in nervousness and your mouth opened and closed, but no sound came out. Daehyun raised an eyebrow your way before shaking his head. “Come in first, it’s cold.”

You jumped a little at the invitation but nodded and went in. You looked around the small home, feeling the warmth entering you. Even though you’ve been here only twice, you felt at home every time. A little lonely, but at home.

“So,” Daehyun voiced out, pushing you towards the living room. You pink at the contact and turned around to face him when you arrived at the living room. You held the bag out and pushed it towards him, expecting him to grab it.

Daehyun realizing that, took the bag and opened it. His eyes widen a centimeter as he stared at the wooly cloth. “A scarf,” he whispered, tracing his fingers along the soft fabric. You clasped your hand together and smiled nervously at him.

“Yeah, it’s for you,” you stated, trying to avoid his eyes. Daehyun gripped the clothing close to his chest and smiled gratefully. It was sweet, he thought. He frowned a little though, realizing he didn’t have a gift for you.

He looked at you, who was fidgeting with your fingers and walked up to you. You stiffen as he came closer and gasped softly as you felt his strong arms come around you. “D-Daehyun?” you muttered out, as your arms wrapped around his waist in reflex.

“Thank you,” you heard him whisper. Your fingers gripped tightly at his waist as you buried your head into his shoulder. Your heart raced at the closeness. He thanked you and you were glad. He was opening up and you were glad. He was becoming more and more cheerful, more open…..and touchy.

“Kya,” you exclaimed as you wriggled out of his embrace. “Daehyun!” Your neck was the most sensitive part of your body and somehow he knew that. He used the chance to tickle you. His body trembled a little as he laughed quietly at your distraught face.

“Mianhae, I had to,” he stated rubbing his nape sheepishly. You scoffed at this. Crossing your arms, you turned your head away from him in short irritation. “Don’t be mad JiHyun. I was only playing around.”

“You? Play around? Since when do you play around?” you snapped at him with a pout. Daehyun came closer and sling his arm around your shoulder, bumping his head with yours.

“Back in the day~’ he replied playfully. You look at him like he was being ridiculous before rolling your eyes at him.

“You sound old when you say that,” you commented, pushing him away from you with a small smi
