Rain

Rain's POV-

I finally plucked up the courage to tell her. After we left the restaurant, I was frantically looking for an excuse to spend more time with her. I didn’t want to send her back to my parent’s house just yet! Thankfully we passed a park and I figured it was one of my only chances.

Now walking through the park together, I felt nothing could be better than this. However, I didn’t want to just walk around in an awkward silence. Although my mind was drawing a blank, I eventually thought of something to say.

I turned toward her, calling her name. We stopped walking and that’s when I noticed it- the bush was moving.

My heart about stopped and then took off. I knew it wasn’t just some small animal or a weird coincidence. I knew that distinctive rustling of the bush.

I panicked. What was I supposed to say?

“Um… well it was very nice to see you today. I hope you have a good rest of your trip here before you go back to England to study. Please say hello to your parents for me.”

Would that do the trick?
