Dreams come true
An Arranged... Soul Mate?
“Actually, I was preparing to go to college. I was thinking Cornell. I wanted to do something in business.” I shrugged. I tried not care to much, but it was my dream to go to Cornell ever since I was ten. And that’s all it ever it will be, apparently. “How about you?”
“I… erm… Really? You’d want to do something in business? Wow… That’s interesting…” He said, biting his lip, before continuing. “How about KUBS? Korea University Business School?”
I was confused. What about KUBS?
I asked him.
“To go there. I mean, would be an okay substitute for you? Could you handle going there? Or would you rather go to Cornell?”
“You mean to go to college?! Like actually be enrolled in a business school?!”
“Of course! Why not? I mean, what would stop you?”
“Um… the fact that I’ll be your wife? Don’t you want me to stay home and ‘be a good wife’?”
“Well if it’s your dream, just because we’ll be getting married doesn’t mean you should give you should give up on it. Besides, I’m sure my father would be more than thrilled to know that his daughter-in-law plans on getting her degree in business.”
“So I can really go?!”
He smiled that beautiful and chuckled. “I’m absolutely sure. Besides, don’t you remember the promise I made to you earlier? If this is what’s going to make you happy, then you are going to a business school.”
“Kamsamnida oppa.” I smiled and blushed. Wow… a perfect husband and being able to fulfill my dreams?! I could not be any happier.
“So… what did you plan on doing with your life?”
He cleared his throat before giving me the biggest shock of my life. Bigger than him letting me go to the Korea University Business School.
