It was another day at Daehan. Everything seemed to be going well, except for one student. Hyemi had been bullied ever since her first class. She could not believe that bullying still existed within students her age. They were university students, for Pete’s sake.
Last night, her parents asked her where her bike was, she couldn’t answer them. She could not tell them the truth. She could not tell them how much Daehan University, the school which her parents wanted her to attend, actually in educating its students.
“I heard you’re the only student here who doesn’t have a car.” Park Soojin chuckled as she passed by Hyemi’s desk. The classroom was empty, it was already lunch break. But Hyemin chose to eat in the classroom alone.
“It’s none of your business.” Hyemi replied to her as she proceeded eating, Sekyung, one of Soojin’s friends looked at her bowl of rice and different dishes. Then she pulled the place mat on the table causing Hyemi’s food to spill on the floor.
It was around noon when a black Murcielago pulled over in front of Daehan’s main building. Heads turned as the driver of the car stepped out and headed to the entrance.
She was a tall girl, with shoulder length hair. She was wearing a leather jacket and skin tight jeans as she marched towards the admissions area.
“Yes, can I help you?”
“Good morning, I was the returnee who called yesterday; I’m here to enrol again.”
Hyemi bit her lip as she stood up and pushed Sekyung.
“Ya!” Soojin reacted and pushed her back. Hyemi grunted and looked at the two girls.
“I was just eating here peacefully. If you don’t want your pretty little noses rubbed on the whiteboard, I suggest you two go to the cafeteria and enjoy your lunch with your posse.” Hyemi hissed as she stepped towards them. She was beyond mad. She was sick of everything regarding Daehan, from its students and the F4.
Hyemi knelt beside the food and gently picked it up again and placed it on her plastic containers. Her mother had prepared it for her earlier and now it was all dirty and messed up. She felt tears line her eyes.
She was so getting back at the great Kim Himchan and his friends.
Then she heard the doors open, she braced herself for another round of insults.
“Why is the room empty?” A feminine voice asked.
Hyemi stood up and blinked. The girl standing by the door was very beautiful.
“Uhm, yes. It’s our lunch break as of now.”
The girl blinked at her, and then her eyes landed on her uniform. There was a stain on her skirt, someone had smeared paint on her seat earlier.
Then the girl saw the food on the floor.
She blinked and looked at Hyemi, she saw her ID and read her name.
“Let me guess,” She started as she reached for purse to get a pack of tissues.
Hyemi just looked at her.
The girl smiled and handed her the pack of tissues.
“It’s that stupid red card again, huh?”
