The Choice
Hyemi stepped out from the dressing room with Himchan behind her.
“What next?” She asked quietly, Himchan smiled and placed the box on her hand.
“Where this at the party with the dress.”
Hyemi looked at him dubiously then she started to pull the lid.
“No, don’t open it with me around.” He smiled at her and gently took her hand with his.
“Anyway, you will treat me to ice cream right? All the dress fitting made me hungry.” He nodded to himself, Hyemi chuckled.
“Let’s go then. We don’t want the young master to starve.”
“You look.....amazing, Hee.” Chunji nodded.
Junhee turned to the mirror and looked at her reflection. She was wearing a cream colored evening gown that fit her like a glove.
“Gorgeous, even.” He sputtered, Junhee smiled.
“In a few days, you guys will hate me, I think.” She whispered. Chunji looked at her.
“What are you saying?”
Junhee exhaled then she felt tears run on her cheeks.
“It’s nothing.” She turned away, Chunji grew alarmed and stepped to her.
“Ya, what are you saying?” He tugged on her arm.
“Himchan oppa and Hyemi, how are they doing?”
“I think...Himchan’s going to ask her out. But Hee, why are you cryi-”
“Are they getting along well?” Junhee faced him, her eyes already dry.
“They are, better than ever even. Is this what’s troubling you, Hee?”
She shook her head.
“I’m okay, oppa.” She nodded.
“Just keep in mind that I’m here if you need help.” He smiled.
Himchan and Daehyun were walking towards their next class when they saw Junhee.
“Where have you been? You didn’t come home last night” Himchan demanded. Junhee winced at his tone.
“I went home, oppa. Just a little late.”
He narrowed his eyes at her, Daehyun smiled.
“Next time tell this grandpa if you’re going to be late, arasso Junhee?” Daehyun pinched her cheek and dragged Himchan with him.
“Wait, Hee?” Himchan turned to her.
“Hm?”
“Something’s wrong, huh?”
She blinked back.
“Oppa’s here, I promised you that I would take care of you right? Don’t forget.” He smiled before walking away with Daehyun.
“I promised I’d help you with the business too.” She murmured.
Hyemi looked up as Junhee stepped in the practice room.
“Unnie?” Junhee looked at her before setting her bag down. Lay and Sehun gave her a nod.
“Do you plan to enter the troupe?” She asked, Hyemi shook her head.
“You know your cousin told me..he wanted us to date.”
Junhee smiled widely ang hugged the older girl.
“Geuraesso?”
“..I don’t know yet, but if you’re okay with that, right?”
Junhee rolled her eyes, Lay chuckled behind her.
“She was hoping for the exact thing, Hyemi.” Lay said. Junhee nodded.
“Unnie, nothing would make me more happier. So, I want you to prepare for the party.”
“I still have a day.” She replied.
“That’s why I have a car waiting outside, it will bring you to a spa where you will be pampered. Run along now.”
After so much persuading, Hyemi finally left the room.
Junhee exhaled and dropped on the floor.
“You have to tell them.” Sehun said. She just shook her head.
“Hee, I know you. And I know what your cousin can do. Himchan can stop this.” Lay sat beside her.
“If you know him well, you know that he will want to step in my place right? No. He finally finds this girl whom he really likes. They have to be together.”
“What about you?” Sehun retorted.
“Chunji oppa...he doesn’t have feelings for me. It’s fine.”
