Kai grinned as he entered the Kim household with Daehyun and Chunji.

“It’s going to be big night.” Kai grinned, then he saw Himchan walking towards them.

“I have to go pick up Hyemi, go and make yourselves at home.” He said before walking towards the front door.

“A changed man.” Daehyun mused, then Himchan’s father saw them.

“You three, come on. Minjung’s been looking for you.”

“What are you doing here?” Junhee appeared by the living room’s door. Chunji smiled and ushered her over.

“Waiting for your cousin and Hyemi.” Kai replied.

“You! I saw you on a date, oppa.” She grinned, Kai rolled his eyes at her.

“Your aunt seems to like Hyemi, right?” Daehyun asked, she nodded back and grabded a muffin from the table. Then she sat down beside Chunji.

“I’m thankful for that, but I know auntie knows oppa best.”

“I was just out for twenty minutes and now you’re all talking about me?” Himchan’s deep voice joined them as he walked in the room with Hyemi.

“Unnie!” Junhee grinned and stood up.

“I’ll tell uncle and aunt you’re here already.”

The Kim elders smiled as Hyemi greeted them.

“Finally, I can meet you in a quiet manner, the party was quite an appropriate event for that.” Mrs. Kim smiled as she took her hand and walked towards the dining room.

“Eomma-”

“Later, Himchan. I want to speak with Hyemi, go away.”

Hyemi chuckled as Himchan scowled at his mother.

“I’m glad you met my son, he changed a lot. He used to be...you know.”

“Well, he was like that.” Hyemi nodded.

“I’m just glad that you accepted him, Hyemi. You taught him a lot.” The elder Kim patted her cheek.

“He taught me a lot too.” She smiled back.

“And, is it too early if tell you, welcome to the family?”

“Eomma!”

Dinner was slightly chaotic. Minjung and Khun were around, chatting with the younger ones while the Kim elders talked with Hyemi and slowly got to know her.

“This is fun, right oppa?” Junhee nudged her cousin, Himchan smiled and kissed her forehead.

“I’m just glad you didn’t marry that Seo person. Right?”

Junhee rolled her eyes at him. Himchan grinned and went back to eating his meal.

Soon, dinner was over, Junhee and the guys went to the game room while Himchan showed Hyemi around the gardens.

“Your house..is pretty.” Hyemi grinned as they walked, Himchan nodded and took her hand.

“Your mother..she wasn’t how I expected her to be. She’s somewhat similar to Junhee in a way.” She mused.

“Eomma’s always been different from the other women around her.” Himchan nodded, then he tugged on her hand.

“Hm?”

Himchan smiled and slowly wrapped his arms around her waist.

“Gomawo.” He murmured, Hyemi blinked and pulled away from him, then Himchan gently kissed her.

“For...what?”

“For choosing to give me a chance.” He smiled ruefully.

Hyemi smiled and decided just to hug him.

“You’re the most important person to me now, Shin Hyemi.”
