Chapter 1 - Noticed

Sitting alone is something Sulli is used to.

Actually,

Being alone is something that Sulli is used to.

Sulli smiled to herself as she took a bite of her homemade sandwich which consist of grilled chicken and tomatoes, nothing fancy but satisfying.
"Ehh! It's Sulli..." said one student to another, "w-w-we should get out of here before she puts a curse on us!" stuttered the other. The two students scurried off in fear. Sulli felt bad, she felt bad that what they said was not true at all.

"A curse huh... I don't even think that's possible..." Sulli continued to munch on her sandwich quietly, hoping not to scare anyone else who walks past. 

*Ding ding ding*

"Oh... It's the bell" Sulli muttered to herself,

"Look... That girl is talking to herself"
"Isn't she the one that can curse people?"
"Seriously?! Never thought I'd say this but lets hurry to class!"

Sulli sighed as she grabbed her plain black cross body bag which contained all her stationary and notebooks.
"I got to pick up the pace... I really don't want to be late to school" Sulli panicked to herself, she was never ever late to her classes. Though, teachers never praised her for it, just like the students, teachers were just as afraid of her.

Sulli stood in front of her new classroom door, her new classmates stood a few metres behind her, afraid that they'll make her angry which would cause them to catch a curse.

"Ah... Sulli is in our class... This is going to be the worst school year" a male student muttered to another, "i-if we just prevent eye contact with her we'll be f-fine right?" a female student whimpered.

Sulli didn't notice the things they were saying about her, she was much oblivious to what other students say about her.

Suddenly the atmosphere changed dramatically, the students turned their heads to find a fairly slim female student, her height was average and she had loose curled mid-length light brown hair. Sulli stared at her in awe, just as all the other students did.

"Good morning! My name is Yuri" Yuri smiled cutely, the boys instantly fell under her spell while the girls couldn't help but feel a bit jealous.

"I hope you all treat me well, seeing that we're going to be together until we all graduate" she bowed before joining in line with the other students.

"I can't believe Yuri is in our class!"
"She's so cute!"
"Ah! I wish I was Yuri's boyfriend!"

Everyone was starting to squirm around and complain, Sulli was remaining patient.

"I'm sorry I'm late!"

An exhausted but calm voice echoed through the halls, suddenly everyone was silent as the teacher stood up.

He was young, not the age you would expect from a teacher and he was very, very handsome.

All the students stood there, eyes wide-opened. The teacher stared at them confused, "is there something on my face?" he laughed.
It seemed as if the girls were struck by his smile as they all squealed in awe.

"Minho!" Yuri says cheerfully grabbing onto Minho's arm playfully, "Yuri... I told you not to act so casual with me in school. Others might get the wrong idea" Minho scolded her, it was kind of hard to recognize it as a scold or not. He sounded way too nice.

"I'm sorry... Minho" Yuri pouted, Minho laughed and instructed her to join the line.
"If you all could cooperate and line up in a single file, I would like you to tell me your name before entering the classroom" Minho instructed giving us all a big bright smile.

Sulli gulped.
He's going to be afraid of me... I might kill his happy mood...

One by one the students greeted their teacher for their last years of high school.

"Good morning teacher! My name is Lee Hyun Woo"
"Good morning sir, my name is Jung Soo Jung but please call me Krystal"
"Good morning, I'm Kim Soo Hyun!"

Sulli felt more nervous each step she took, it was one step closer to her new teacher, hoping that she wouldn't scare him away.

"G-G-Good morning... I... I... My... name is S-Sulli" Sulli took a deep breath as her name slipped out, Minho looked rather surprised at first before breaking into a smile, a genuine smile.

"Nice to meet you Sulli, I'm glad to have you in my class" Sulli couldn't help but smile, Minho stared at her a bit shocked but quickly straightened his expression before anyone would notice.

Sulli stood there, shocked, eyes wide open before slowly walking into class.
He... He's not scared of me...

Minho stood in front of the black board behind his classroom desk.

"It was very nice to meet you all, eventually I will learn to remember all your names so I apologize if I address you incorrectly." Minho sheepishly laughed scratching the back of dark black hair raising his right arm using his right hand. "Ahem" he coughed then giving a blank expression. "I know I'm a teacher but please, call me Minho. It makes me feel old when you call me sir... or Mr..." everyone in class laughed and giggled at his response, Sulli couldn't help but laugh softly, soft enough for no one to hear her laugh.

"Okay resuming back to class activities, we first have to figure out seating arrangements. I have a list of names here... It's called the roll" the class laughed, Sulli wasn't sure if he was calling all of the class stupid or it was a joke... "Everyone please stand against the wall near the exit door. I will point to each seat and call out a name" a few of the students groaned. 

"Seat number 1, Kim Soo Hyun" Minho read out.

"Damn... Front row" Kim Soo Hyun complained to himself, his friends slapped him on the back playfully, laughing at him.

A bunch of names have already been called out, row 1 and 2 were all filled up. The remaining rows were 3 and 4.

"Seat number 1, row 3, Sulli"

All the students murmed to themself, "whoever gets seat 2 row 3... Or seat 1 and 2 of row 4... They're going to be in real bad luck" a student whispered to the others, everyone agreed silently. Minho overheard, he couldn't help but feel a little bit angry but tried his best not to show it.

"Seat 2 row 3, Yuri" everyone gasped at the selection, the students couldn't help but feel sorry for Yuri.

Yuri tried her best to smile which fooled the others in thinking that she didn't mind, Yuri placed her belongings on her small square desk, not saying a word to Sulli.

The seatings were chosen, Yuri was beside Sulli, Krystal was behind Sulli and Key was behind Yuri, everyone else was pretty happy with their seats.

"I don't get why we didn't get to choose our seats!" Key groaned, Minho chuckled. "I'm sorry Key, but this was the only fair way" Minho replied, Key rolled his eyes, "I don't see how this is fair at all"

Sulli felt a bit uncomfortable in her seat but tried her best to show no emotion.

"Wow, it's the end of the first day already? That was quick" Victoria laughed, Luna smiled in agreement as they both grabbed their bags to leave. The other students did the same, all leaving together in pairs or groups.

"Thanks Minho! You're a cool teacher" Sung Joon Young gave Minho a friendly punch on the arm, "bye Minho!" Yuri shouted out cheerfully while waving.

Sulli grabbed her bag to leave, she was the last one in the classroom excluding Minho. As Sulli was about to leave, Minho called out her name, so casually...

"Sulli"

He said it so calm, so soothingly, Sulli couldn't believe it. There was not a hint of fear in his voice.

Sulli slowly turned around to face him, "y-yes Teacher?" Sulli didn't feel comfortable calling him by his first name. He was the teacher and she has always been obedient, all her teachers have taught her to always address them as a teacher.

Minho chuckled, "it's okay to call me Minho"

Sulli quickly shook her head in protest, "n-no! It's... rude" Sulli looked away, avoiding eye contact.

Minho gave her a soft smile which caught Sulli by surprise, "good work today. I know that not the other students have noticed but I've noticed that you were working twice as hard as the others. I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow" 

Sulli was shocked, no one has ever noticed her for something good before... Sulli couldn't help but blush a little before rushing out.

Sulli panted in front of the school gate, "he noticed me... No one has ever noticed me like that before" Sulli felt a bit happy.
