SNSD - Best Friend

"Ah, this is exciting!" I exclaimed, even though I was a bit numb from the coldness.

"You're excited to see my old nemesis?" Lulu asked as he veered his car to an open parking space.

I got out of the car. "Nemesis your face. You know Baekhyun has never been your nemesis. It's just you and your jealousy.

He laughed and turned off the car. "Just kidding." He went out and joined me.

"Also, it's not just Baekhyun. It's Eunmi, too."

Baekhyun and Eunmi. They were my high school friends, and it's been a long time since I last saw them. Luhan had also met them, and had also become close to them, too. Before, Luhan had even thought Baekhyun was his rival for my heart. But yeah, they got over that.

The day before, Baekhyun messaged us and told us that he'll be visiting us in Seoul. The guy's a very rich kid, so he was studying abroad already. What surprised us was when he said Eunmi was with him, too. It turned out that they were coincidentally classmates abroad. Eunmi was able to get a good scholarship outside the country, and had insisted on coming with Baekhyun when she found out he's visiting us. What a small world.

We found seats in the waiting area inside the airport. Luhan checked his wristwatch. "What time did they say they'll be coming?"

"Ten forty-five." I craned my neck to glance at the port where landing passengers will be entering. "They'll be here any minute now."

And, I was right. A voice from the public announcement speakers announced that a flight was now landing. A few minutes more, passengers were coming out of the port.

Luhan and I stood up. He pointed. "Look! There's Baekhyun and Eunmi!"

Wow. Luhan's really got sharp eyes. From afar, those two familiar figures were pushing baggage carts, waving at us with a bright smile.

We met them halfway and when we got closer, Eunmi literally sprinted and attacked me with a bear hug. "Sungie, dear!! I missed you!!"

I hugged her back. "Hi, Eunmi, I missed you too!" I turned to Baekhyun. "Lazy bum! How are you?!"

He embraced me. "Ah. Same old Sungchan. How about you? Have you been inflicting pain on your boyfriend?"

I snorted. "Same old Baekhyun you are."

Eunmi turned to Luhan and hugged him. "Oh, Luhan! How are you? I'm glad to see you and my Sungie are still together."

"Your Sungie? How did she become yours?? She was mine all the time!" All of us laughed. He looked at Baekhyun and gave him a brotherly hug. "Hello, Baekhyun. Long time no see."

Baekhyun patted Lulu's back. "Yeah. It's been a while."

"Why don't we all bring the luggage to the car and chat later?" I suggested. "Then, we'll eat outside and talk some more."

Everyone agreed. Luhan helped Baekhyun with his bags while I helped Eunmi with hers. Luhan opened the trunk at the back and dumped the bags in. Eunmi and Baekhyun slid at the backseat.

"Oh my gosh," Eunmi breathed as she rubbed her mitten-covered hands together. "I don't remember Korea being this cold during winter!"

"It's because you got used to the weather outside the country already," I pointed out. "A little more stay outside, and your body temperature will become like Baekhyun's since he travels all the time!"

"Versatile," Baekhyun summed up.

Since the weather was really pretty cold, and little snowflakes pitter-pattered on our skin, Lulu drove us to the ramen restaurant a few blocks away from our dorm.

When we arrived, we entered the restaurant and found a table near the glass wall. A waiter came and took our orders, and when he left, we all started talking again.

"When will you be picked up by your driver?" I asked Baekhyun.

"Tonight. Eunmi's parents even insisted going back as soon as we land," Baekhyun explained.

"But I persuaded my parents to let me stay just for the day because I really wanted to visit the both of you!" Eunmi said in her ecstatic manner. Eunmi's always energetic. She has a tendency to really become overexcited.

Baekhyun and Eunmi will only be staying with us for the day, and that night, they'll be picked up by Baekhyun's driver so that they can go back to our hometown.

"How long will you be staying in Korea, then?" Lulu asked.

"Just a week," Baekhyun answered.

"It's SO frustrating that winter breaks in other countries only lasts for a WEEK AND A HALF!" Eunmi exclaime
