""L"I can't believe you did that, LeeTeuk." KangIn barges into the apartment, dumping his things on the floor and charged towards me. The stainless steel door knob slams back onto the wall, leaving a slight indent. DongHae trailed not far behind, with a tired look in his eyes. My mouth opened a fraction of an inch before KangIn began to talk again, "You ruined it. She doesn't want anything to do with me. She said 'sorry' and got in the cab. I watched her drive out of my life, LeeTeuk. DongHae and I searched everywhere and she wasn't at her dorm, none of her friends know where she is. I don't know what to do. This wouldn't have happened if you listened to me and kept your mouth shut." His words were like venom as he spit them to the ground. 

"KangIn, look-" I got up from the couch and started making my way towards the two, the latter looking fairly annoyed that he'd been dragged into this mess. "I'm sorry for what happened, but-"

"But what, LeeTeuk?" KangIn's whole body was quivering in anger. I stopped dead in my tracks, not daring to move any closer, afraid for my own well being. "What was so damn tempting that made you jump to the conclusion that I was cheating on TaeYeon the second I left? Do you really see me like that?"

"Of course not, you know that." DongHae ruffled his hair lightly in the corner of my eye. A habit he had picked up on from when he was younger. KangIn and I were known to have our arguments here and there, whilst DongHae would nervously watch from aside.

"Enlighten me then." I held my breath, this clearly was the perfect time to tell.

Yet I couldn't. 

"Well?" His intense eyes burned with curiosity, and I knew he wouldn't forgive me easily - let alone forgive me at all. He had the right to know.

"KangIn, I don't know how to tell you." I was delaying the inevitable. "It's just-"
"The bastard made out with TaeYeon when you were gone." Everything that was running through my head froze and the world had come to a standstill. I knew what had happened, I was there for God's sake. But hearing it out loud, in front of KangIn, finally made me come to my senses. 

"He what?" For a brief moment, something I could never unsee, for sure, was the look of absolute betrayal in my brother's eyes. I had ruined one of the only relationships he had taken seriously in just ten words. Ten measly words that I had come to hate myself for. 

"Bro, let me explain." The words were tumbling out of my mouth. He tightened his fists and the abandoned look in his eyes disappeared. Now, filled with disgust and hostility.

"I can't believe you. I knew something was going on between you two, but I trusted you. You're my brother! She's my girlfriend - or was. And it's all because of you that she left me!" DongHae began to hold KangIn back. Not the smartest thing, but I was thankful for it. "How often did you guys hook up?"

"KangIn, no. It's not what you think!" The last thing I remember was the furious man in front of me swinging his arm back and knocking me right out into unconsciousness.

-[present time]-

The monitor beside me chirped loudly and woke me from my deep sleep. With heavy eyelids, I could barely make out the scene in front of me.

"KangIn could've killed him!" A voice hissed quietly.

"He's fine." Another grumbled back. DongHae? Where am I?

"He's not fine, clearly. He's in the hospital with a broken nose, cracked rib, and bruises covering every inch of his body." It was TaeYeon. I could recognize her voice any day.
"LeeTeuk deserved it. You're lucky KangIn didn't kill your boyfriend." 

"He's not my boyfriend." She whispered and their conversation stopped abruptly.

The monitor continued to echo in the silent room before a creak of the door awakened me again.

"You, why are you here?" Right off the bat, I knew it was KangIn.  His tone of voice and attitude showed the scorn he felt.

"Why else would I be?" TaeYeon responded.

"Leave. Now." I wanted to say something. To get up and defend TaeYeon. I couldn't move a finger even. What did KangIn do to me? I deserved it though, DongHae was right about that.

"I'm not leaving."

"Of course not." The sound of a chair screeching across the tiles slipped into the air before I drifted back to sleep.
