Chapter Forty

We Are Just Meant To Be

We Are Just Meant To Be

Chapter Forty

“We don’t have time to lose, everyone move it, move it!”

The town was in a panic and already several people were hurt and sent off to the hospital. Hee Chul had thankfully reached all his brothers and sister. He had also warned Daesung, Seungri, and Young Bae. It became clear that the hospital was a place that had to be protected as many laid there hurt and recovering besides Seung Hyun and Ji Yong.

Minzy would have been released today to go home, but that would not be likely, making Daesung decide to stay there, promising that he was going to do his best to protect them.

Seungri and Young Bae took a moment to each other.

They knew that they wanted to be together and help but they also knew that since they were un mated to each other that it was the best if they could split their protection.

“I’ll be fine, you just look after our brothers,” Young Bae grabbed Seungri’s hand in his own, fingers intertwining for a few seconds as he whispered his words into his ears. Seungri shivered, tears threatening to fall from his eyes as he nodded stiffly. HE was scared, but he wasn’t going to say it because he knew he had to be strong, for Young Bae as well as his brothers.

“I’ll be fine as well, I’ll take care of our family,” Seungri closed his eyes and Young Bae kissed him. It was soft, lingering, but quick all at the same time. They wished it could have lasted longer, but they had to get moving,

“We will be together soon,” he murmured, and ran to where Hee Chul was impatiently waiting for him.Young Bae tried his best not to look back, because he knew that if he did, he would never leave Seungri’s side. He would want to run back to his side.

Watching the two interact brought in feelings of concern and fear inside of Hee Chul. Things that made him think back to how badly this morning had already started. Hee Chul had first ran to Dong Wook’s home, where Dong Wook decided to take over his mission, He went on to contact the family members that Hee Chul had still not reached, and was already heading with Minki and Dong Ho to help Siwon out. Still, even if they reached his mate on time and helped, Hee CHul wanted to be there as soon as possible.

“Let’s go,” Young Bae said, calling his attention. Hee Chul nodded, and started to lead the way out of the hospital. Glancing at Young Bae, he could see how uneasy the man was about leaving his family behind to protect the hospital.

“I know how hard it is. I can only hope that all of this can get resolved as fast as possible” Hee Chul gave Young Bae an reassuring look.

“I hope so as well, I can’t even fathom how any of this could have happened, but we can’t allow it,” Young Bae offered his own smile in comfort.

“Who knows how it happened, but I am glad that Siwon and I Were out walking when we saw the first attacks, I can only imagine having to be the ones that were woken by the attack,” Hee Chul commented.

“Where are we headed?” Young Bae asked, looking around as they drew farther from the hospital, and all he could see now was every neko near and far rushing to the same point that they were.

“We were close to the forest, on that side; Siwon and I were looking to see if we could find an open coffee shop when one of those creatures tore through a building.” Hee Chul explained, causing Young Bae’s eyes to widen once he noticed the wrecked buildings. Not far off, the mass of the creatures were slowly making headway as Neko’s threw themselves at them.

Young Bae paused, ‘it’s like they are multiplying’ his thoughts ran on the edge of distress.

Hee Chul sensed that he stopped, and turned to face him, coming to a halt as well. His entire body told him that he had to get to Siwon, he was so close, what was up with Young Bae? “Yo, come on, we have to help!  There is no time to get scared, we have to go now!” He urged.

“Right,” Young Bae called, once more getting himself in gear and started to run once more. He started to think about what was happening. Maybe multiplying wasn’t the right word to describe the creatures, but one thing was for sure, there was a mass of them and they just kept coming. How many of them had already been torn down before this?

Damn, this was insane.

How were they going to be able to do this?

Creatures, as they called them really had no name and there was little to nothing known about them when alive. When dead, the flame at the pit of their stomach would go out and they often denigrated into fine dust. That is why it wasn’t encouraged to leave them lying around. The fine dust could get into their sensitive noses and sometimes even choke them. To defeat them, they had to pin them to the ground so that their bodies melded back into the earth.

What their purpose in life was, it wasn’t clear. Did they feel, eat, or even have a connection to one another—no one really knew. It felt like a mistake for all of them not to have properly researched these creatures, but one thing was for sure. They knew that these things liked to eat them, Neko’s and they also despised them. As far back as they knew there had always been a war between them. Out of courtesy for something like this never to happen they had opted to never cross each others paths.

But not today, no for whatever reason the creatures had seen the need to breech whatever silent agreement that they had and come attacking them, It was frightening because even the smallest of them towered over them.

Young Bae wasted no time drawing his claws, just as Hee Chul jumped into the fray without abandon—gouging out the things throat. “SIWON!” he yowled, looking around in desperation, Young Bae attacked a creature that was making its way to the distressed Hee Chul. Screaming was going to get them the worst attention of all, it alerted the creatures faster as to where they were. Whether these things were blind or not, or if they only knew where they were due to sound, they all didn’t know so they had to be cautious.

“Relax man, we will find him but we need to clear our path!” Young Bae hissed, glaring at Hee Chul for not being able to keep his composure.

“Forgive me, I am terrified okay,” Hee CHul snapped. “I’m Siwon’s mate, I am supposed to help him be at his best, I Can’t do that from where I am--- I can’t sense him around these mother ing things!” he cried, lashing out as another creature made its ways towards him. He kicked, and clawed any creature that dared get close to him, dropping about five of them at once in his tantrum.

“We’re in the middle of a battle field,” Young Bae cried, clawing and kicking those creatures around him as well, “I’ll help you look but you have to relax, okay please,” Young Bae understood, he did, but he didn’t want to see anyone around them hurt anymore.

Hee Chul took a calming breath and the both of them jumped once more out of the way of incoming attacks, High flames that singed at their fur nearly seized them as a larger creature dropped towards them, open mouthed. It then blew a raging stream of fire at them, the flames burning toward the ground, barely missing them.

“Did that thing just blow flame at us,” Hee Chul breathed in shock.

“Yes, it did” Young Bae confirmed.

Both of them found themselves fighting through, leaving them little to no room in finding Siwon and the others. “We have to get out of here, and to a higher place,” Young Bae called to Hee Chul when he noticed the bodies that were dropped around them started to denigrate. While they were low in the ground melding to the earth, there was still a dust that was being kicked around and starting to bother their noses.

Hee Chul turned to Young Bae, nodding his head towards an opening. Young Bae rushed with him, looking for clear sky when all of a sudden they heard a loud screech, the ground bellow them shook from the impact of the sound, and they found themselves falling and clutching at their ears. The sound was so unpleasant, it felt like it was tearing their ears apart and it hurt immensely,

Hee Chul and Young Bae fell on their knees, the pain so distracting that they didn’t know that they were both screaming in pain as well.

Siwon had been fighting through the creatures, taking the lead to make sure that other couples could work properly together. Neko’s were a species that rarely fought with each other. That was often only left to those who joined the tournaments. Most of the time they were peaceful and other times so in love with their mate that they didn’t have time for anger. Of course though, their bodies were agile, and equipped with what was needed for them to protect themselves, and defend their loved ones. AT this point right here, and now they were all forced to fight for that very cause—as well as for their town.

It felt like forever to SIwon when he first saw Dong Wook and his siblings approach him. He sighed in relief to see them all safe, and ready to battle. He started to  yell orders at them on what to do, so more ground was covered and they could help those less experience fighters effectively use their powers in bringing greater amounts of creatures.

“Alright, everyone go!” Siwon hissed, making his brothers nod and move to go. Before Dong Wook could go he reached for his arm, holding him back for a second. “Where is Hee Chul?” he demanded.

“Last I heard from him he was headed to the hospital to talk to Ji Yong’s brothers and warn them. I am sure that he will be here soon,” Dong Wook told him, Siwon nodded his head, letting him go. Still as he watched his brother and Han Byul leave, a sinking feeling entered him as he worried about his mate. For a second, he turned his head around to get a look at his surroundings properly, and that feeling gnawed on him that he could not see or feel his mate.

“AAAAHH That thing,” A woman yelled, getting Siwon’s attention as he turned, “It can breathe fire!”

, that was something that they hadn’t expected,. They knew that there were flames inside of those things, but that was anew way for them to use them.

“Focus!” he roared, “Get behind it and attack, come on, don’t back up now. Let’s keep moving!” he snapped helping to get the Neko’s around him back into the task and working fluidly together.  The bodies were dropped low to the ground as they kept attacking when all of a sudden they heard a battle cry of a young Neko who had been showing off not far off. Siwon had snapped at him several times to get him to do as he was told, and he had thought that he had succeeded—but damn did it feel like it happened all at once.

The overenthusiastic young Neko launched himself over to a tall creatures, claws long and drawn out as he attacked it’s head. All at once, the creatures head started to fall apart, turning to fine dust that filled the air around them—making it hard to breathe. Siwon an d several other Nekos were caught in the cloud, and started to cough as their eyes watered.

“!” The little Neko murmured once he realized that amongst those who got caught in the dust cloud was the girl that he was trying to impress with his moves.

“Bo Young, No!”

Siwon would have told the little fool to keep his distance and not come any closer, but he too got caught in the dust cloud. What a foolish child! Siwon gasped, trying to catch his breath and struggled to find the end of the cloud.

Finally, he fell to the ground crawling until he found fresh air again and quickly commanded those that were simply standing around to keep fighting and stop staring. The dust was not going to kill them, hinder them yes, make them vaulanarable, yes, but it was not going to kill him, At least, this is not the way that he pictured himself ever dying.

Hee Chul, where are you my love—I hope you are not caught in something like this,' he thought as he spat on the ground the buildup that had settled at the back of his throat. Once the dust settled, he knocked the kid over the head with his fist, causing him to whine.“DO you think this is some joke! We are all here fighting because we are in danger, and you are playing around trying to show off to a girl that will end up dead because you can’t follow instructions!” he hissed, making the kid flinch back and tuck his ears down to his head. “Get it together, and start working as a team—now!” he roared, and the guy nodded, rushing to find anyone who needed help.

The girl, Bo Young, sighed, and moved to help. Her eyes were sad, and sometimes wondering, but she was a strong woman and was able to work with the team well enough to bring a few other creatures down to the floor. When the creatures started to move around and corner them all into a small circle, Siwon instructed them to move and disperse again.

They couldn’t get caught up in the mass of their bodies. Those bodies that were all consuming almost like a black hole that could eat you up and no guaranteed that you would live if you went in, There was no knowing if you could escape if that were to happen.

Yet as much as Siwon tried his best to control the situation- it was next to impossible as more creatures kept coming, as more fear entered those around him when it came to fighting. Siwon felt overwhelmed, and his mind kept racing because he was missing his mate.

‘Hee Chul, get here soon love’

Back at the hospital, the nurses were working hard to get their patients ready in case an evacuation would be issued. Daesung and Seungri were a few of the Neko’s that were helping to make the process go smoothly.

Minzy felt a lot of pressure, as she glanced down at her little ones. There was just her, Daesung, and Seungri, and there were five of her little kits. They were so small, barely born, and still unnamed, at least her and Daesung had already decided on the names, they just had to place them in their certificates now that they were ready to leave.

But it seemed that this wasn’t going to be a happy day or a good occasion. The tension in the air was scaring her, and she wanted her mate to be here with her and her kits. Maybe it sounded selfish, but it was what she wanted. Daesung to only care and protect them, and be their pillar of strength, but she knew her mate. He was going to keep them safe, and he was going to make sure that everyone around them as well were all doing well.

It had been the reason why she had fallen so hard and fast in love with Daesung. The man was like an angel sent from heaven, with a glorious smile and a heart of pure gold. Daesung’s kindness touched all those around him, The warmth and the welcoming vibes that he executed made those around him extremely happy. He was like a light that offered hope, and stopped you from crying, not because he forced you, but because he help you put things into perspective that you couldn’t help but feel like everything was going to be alright.

Hearing her children mewl and whine around in their cribs, she couldn’t help but smile as she could see bits and pieces of their father in them. Her children were truly blessed and lucky to have such a great father.

“Everything is going to be alright,” she spoke to them, just so they would know.

Glancing up she noted that Daesung and Seungri had entered the room.  She smiled at them both. “What is going on?” she asked.

“The attack of those creatures, it seems like there is a struggle and it’s getting closer,” DAesung commented, moving to hug his mate, and gently reach his children where he could caress their cheeks. Minzy watched him silently, knowing that things were still not going well. She felt herself distress once more, and turned her head when she spotted her brother in law.

Seungri had sat down in the chair nearby, quiet but restless.

“You okay Seungri?

Seungri forced a smile, but who was he kidding, it soon dropped and tears threatened to fall. “I’m sorry, I want to be strong but I’m scared for Young Bae, I want to be there by his side, and help him—to make sure that he is safe, but I can’t. This is all I  can do to support him,”

“Oh Seungri,” DAesung and Minzy moved towards him.

“YOUng Bae is strong, and he will be fine. You two want to be mated right? This will blow over, because we can’t let those creatures win.”

Seungri nodded his head.

Suddenly the door burst open and their parents ran in, “Come boys, come,” Their mother hissed, her expression looked stressed and panicked, making all three occupants in the room feel scared. Both Seungri and Daesung rushed to their flaying mother, trying to calm her down so that they knew what was going on.,

“Mom, breathe!” DAesung encouraged. Chung Ae shook her head, gripping their hands as she dropped her news on them.

“JI Yong and Seung Hyun have woken up!”

Chapter 44: Hey there!! /Wave hand/ how are you??, as I have some free time I was getting back here and of course reading your story again was the first thing that I had done!! You even updated 4 chaptes since the last time I was there and as usual the tension in your story never slow down !!!
First GD also have that super Sayan form!!! God what it was exactly seems that extreme danger and empty energy trigger it like a last surge of power but is it only Gtop that have this form??? Is it an genetic modification like Siwon seemed to think? Or more an archaic or a new form like maybe the hints on the evolution could suggest? Or is it because of their bond ?? or them specificly??? God i can't wait to figure it out!!!
& then OMG not even the time to breath before something big happen!!! I knew i should expect that big monsters attack at the end of the tournament since HyunA character appeared but GOD I didn't expect that it will be like this!!! and the discovery that she and HyunSeung have made!!!! They have to share it with the other especially Siwon juste to have HeeChul checked just in case!!!
And the end of this chapter !!! God GD is the red sun!?! Isn't he?? He is so powerful!!! <3
As you can see I still enjoy your story so much hope to read more of it as soon as you can /hug/ hoping life is kind to you and your family theses days
