We Are Just Meant To Be

Chapter Twenty-Four

The power couple, Dong Ho and Minki is a very deadly combination in deed.

Their Synchronicity was amazing, and when they battled it was as if they were watching a puppet show. Minki, was very gorgeous, always letting his blond hair down before battle. From the very moment that he took his stance behind his mate, it was like a sort of white light surrounded him, but it was his aura. That same white light would dance, and swivel itself down to almost invisible strings of power that scattered themselves through the ground and onto the opponent. Those strings would wrap themselves over the land, and anything on it.  

From the very beginning it was like a spider weaving its web and their opponents fell for the gorgeous sight. After all, it was a bit hard to look away from Minki when he was so mesmerizing.  It completely made you forget about his dominant partner. Yet the moment that Dong Ho’s own aura would emit, he would create that reminder that they were there to fight and not watch a show. But, by that time it was already too late, they were already in their trap.

The moment that the dominant on the other side moved, was the moment that Minki would pull and Dong Ho would move. Dong Ho’s own energy seemed to swallow that of Minki’s as he moved in close, doing close range combat on the very confused dominant. It was like he had been pulled out of a dream and Minki kept a hold of him from his most vulnerable areas while Dong Ho finished him off. After all, that little spider trick wrapped enough strings around the person’s neck, wrists, and legs, that you only found that they were there when they cut you and you would feel the painful sting, restraining your movement.

Thus creating the perfect opportunity for Dong Ho to defeat the dominant that was already deeply weaved in their trap. His own aura swallowing Minki’s to create a barrier where the submissive couldn’t lend its power to its dominant anymore. Completely cutting the couple off of each other and playing on their worst fear: separation. It was funny really, how it was all set up to make the Submissive feel hopeless, and stunned-specially when their dominants dropped to the floor completely knocked out.

It was sad, but it was true. They didn’t deal with the submissive in the relationship nor did they ever have to touch the submissive. It was all about defeating the dominant so badly, that the battle would be over in just a few seconds. They had flawlessly finished the battle with no scars or harm to them.

Dong Ho and Minki were deadly and scary.

 “That was so pathetic” Hee Chul mumbled, still feeling dizzy from the hard hit that had made him lose consciousness. His eyes blinked several times, trying to focus, but it was hard for him to do when all he felt like doing was lose consciousness again. “We lost to beginners” he sighed, closing his eyes as his mate began to run his fingers through his hair. Siwon smiled slightly at him and shushed him, making sure his mate felt nothing but comfort.

“It’s okay,” he said, “don’t worry about it all. Just focus on getting better love,”

Hee Chul nodded his head and allowed sleep to return to him. Siwon sighed, and did his best to continue comforting his mate. Once Hee Chul was deeply asleep, he looked to the side, replaying the earlier battle in his head. Hee Chul was right, it was pathetic that they had lost to beginners, but it had been pure dumb luck! If Hee Chul hadn’t been hit so hard that he lost consciousness they would have defeated those two when their attention had diverted from the battle in the end. Those two didn’t seem to be able to focus fully on the battle. But damn them and their stupid dumb luck! Siwon started to curse under his breath when all of a sudden the door to their hospital room opened.

Turning his head on alert, Siwon was shocked at whom had just entered. “Hey.”

Siwon opened and closed his mouth before he stood up, “Dad” he said, and kept looking at the man before him. “Dad…what are you doing here!” he growled, already feeling tears piercing his eyes. No, he was not going to show any weakness. This man shouldn’t even be here!

“I went to see my son battle, I didn’t think that you were going to be his opponent” Hyun Yoon discreetly said, and then added, “I also have heard from your mother that you’ve been a bit aggressive lately with your brothers and sister, and seeing as you are here, I thought it would be a good chance to confront you about your attitude”

Siwon was about to snap at his father when he froze and thought about what he had just said, “…Your Son?” he glowered. “Who is he? Seung Hyun or Ji Yong…and who’s the that you decided to get with to have him?” Siwon bitterly snapped. He was the first born of the large litter Hyun Yoon had had with his first mate, Choi Jun Yeon. Siwon had been attached to his father when Jun Yeon had decided to end their relationship. Siwon had gone as far as to try and get his parents back together back when he was younger. Of course, that never happened. Since then Siwon hated his mother and seemed to have conflicting feelings about his father, even more so when his mother re-mated to someone new, and then his father mated with another female, it just seemed to help fuel Siwon’s anger for their broken relationship.  

“He’s from your same litter Siwon, Seung Hyun is your brother.” Hyun Yoon shook his head. “He is the middle child, and was often more silent and less demanding than the rest of you that he always got pushed back and your mother always forgot him” Hyun Yoon sighed, “I can’t blame her, she did have a large litter to take care of and I guess I didn’t have enough support and comfort for her to feel safe and comfortable. I hope now that you are older and mated, this is something you can understand…”

“Se…Seung Hyun is my brother! And you kept him from us?” Siwon was angry. He couldn’t believe his father. “And what are you talking about!  There were eight of us back then and now there are only five of us…well six with Seung Hyun. Mom killed two of them dad!” Siwon snapped, “How can you even think that there was anything right about our family and you just let her do what she wanted! I can’t forgive her for anything. She should have never left you” Siwon turned his gaze to Hee Chul whom was still sleeping. He could never imagine himself letting go of him. He couldn’t even imagine life without him or that he had ever lived without him. He loves him so deeply and that’s why he mated him, so he didn’t get how his parents could mate and yet leave each other just like that.

Hyun Yoon sighed. “I just came to ask you not to hurt your brother. With the attitude that you have been showing lately, I hope you won’t go hurt him.”

Siwon growled, “I may be a blood seeker, but I know better than to hurt my own family. But God! YOU kept that fact away from us. How could you!”

“Jun Yeon says that you attacked her…”

Siwon hissed at his father’s sudden change of topic, “She’s just the person that gave birth to me, she’s nothing more to me!” he hissed. “She never took care of us! She is not my mother!”

“She gave you life you should…”

“And that is the only ing thing she ever did right!”

“Siwon,”

“No dad” Siwon sighed, calming himself down. He needed to keep calm for Hee Chul’s sake. “You might be able to forgive mom and even support her now on what she decides and what she’s doing. But I’m not small anymore, and I’m not blind. She was never a good mother, and she’s not any better now. So I won’t forgive her, and I won’t acknowledge her.” Siwon turned to his father, “, Seung Hyun is lucky enough to have never known her!”

“You don’t think Seung Hyun doesn’t want to know his mother?” Hyun Yoon asked. “I’ve never gotten around to actually telling him who his mother or his siblings are, as far as Seung Hyun knows, he’s an only child, but I came to spend time with him and find the right moment to tell him about all of you…”

“Maybe you better not. No one should” Siwon glowered, “I think its better if he stays with his mate and their family,” he then paused and asked, “Wait…how did he end up with his mate?”

“Well that’s actually a very cute story!” Hyun Yoon said, livelier and widely grinning.

“How?” Siwon’s eyes were large, and his ears perked in his curiosity. He needed to know how such a couple came to be!

“Their eyes met and they decided at that moment that they were going to be together forever…so next thing you know they mated, and then decided to date.” Hyun Yoon shrugged his shoulders while Siwon was looking at him with his jaw dropped. “Uh, Siwon, close your mouth.” Siwon snapped his mouth shut but still looked at his father like he was crazy.

“You let Seung Hyun get mated without courting his mate first!” Siwon snapped.

“Hey, Seung Hyun is old enough to make his own decisions. You got a bone to pick you go and ask him what part of his mating with Ji Yong makes any sense.” Hyun Yoon calmly replied in return.

“Oh god” Siwon rubbed his head. “Are my family members all some part delusional?”

“Yes, you inherit that from the Choi side of the family” Hyun Yoon said and Siwon finally took a seat next to his mate once more.

“I think it’s just you, dad,”

“I’ll take that as a compliment,”

“You’re just as bad as mom,”

Hyun Yoon sighed, “Siwon, you don’t have anything to worry about with Seung Hyun’s decision to be mated to Ji Yong. Those two boys are like to peas in a pod. They just seem to belong together, and I know because I’ve been living with them for a few weeks now. But it is time for me to leave again; I just wanted to make sure that you were still taking care of your siblings. I’ll go and see Jun Yeon again, and talk to her for a bit before I leave,”

Siwon turned to look at his father. “Of course I am…and if you are sure about Seung Hyun and Ji Yong, then okay.” He turned back to Hee Chul, “Now leave.”

“Alright,” Hyun Yoon sighed, “Take care of yourself and Hee Chul Siwon”

“I know you don’t have to tell me” Siwon muttered in return. Hyun Yoon sighed, and left. Well that didn’t go as planned, but he guessed it was already past due for him to let any of his kids know whom Seung Hyun was. As he walked out of the hospital he made sure to keep a low profile as Dong Wook, Minki, Jun Hong, and Hye Yoon all stood outside in the waiting room, waiting for Siwon to come and talk to them. He really didn’t want to get them emotionally going by letting them know that he was here.

Siwon would take care of everything as he always has.

And just like that, Hyun Yoon left.

Hyung Sung sighed as he leaned against the wall of the stadium where any moment now he was going to be facing battle alongside Hyun A. He was nervous, really he was, but at the same time he couldn’t take his mind away from the memory of Ji Yong’s battle and how gorgeous both he and his mate had looked on the field.

Both of them had battled amazingly together, and they had won.

A lot of speculation was going around their fighting style, and there were a lot of people anticipating a lot of greater things to come from them. Some even said that they hoped that they got to see a battle between them and the power couple of Dong Ho and Minki, versus Seung Hyun and Ji Yong. Some were indecisive on who they would bet if such a battle came to pass.

Hyun Sung couldn’t help but feel slight jealousy at it, and envy at that.

It really did prove that Ji Yong and Seung Hyun were compatible with each other and it bothered him to no end. A part of him had hoped that they weren’t. That they would have failed and although he would hate to see Ji Yong get hurt in battle, at least, he could go and visit him and make his move when he was recovering.

But it had not been that way.

“Hyun Sung?” Hyuna popped out of nowhere, looking for him until she saw him and smiled at him. “Omo, are you still sulking, come on, we’re almost going to be up next. That couple has it won already,” she said pointing out to the field, where Dong Ho and Minki were just about finishing their fight. He stood up and looked over to the field, watching in fascination as Dong Ho finished off the opponent, as well as how he and his mate had hardly even broken a sweat.

Those two were flawless, compared to Ji Yong and Seung Hyun.

For a moment he was in awe, and wondered if they were the ones that were going to be able to take down Ji Yong and Seung Hyun. When it came down to their power and strategy of battle they seemed to be worlds apart! Maybe people were not so farfetched as want to pit the Kang-Choi and Choi-Kwon couple against each other. For a moment, his fingers itched and he wished that he had his camera with him so that he could take a picture of Minki and Dong Ho at their best.

“Hyun Sung,” Hyuna called out to him, placing a hand on his shoulder, “Don’t you dare to forget that we are here to prove that an unmated couple with no background on each other, no relationship other than friendship can defeat even powerful mates like them. This is our goal remember, we will take them all down” she smiled. “It will be a great accomplishment when even the power couple falls at our feet” she praised, smiling brightly, while her eyes shinned with determination.

“But…but did you just see that?” he asked her with wide eyes, shocked that she could still have a strong belief that they could win against such a pair, “How…how could we ever hope to even compare!”

 “Well, that’s a dumb question” she said, clearing . “Here” she said, and handed him a necklace with a black stone attached to it. “This will help us.” She said.

“What…what is this?” he asked.

“It’s an emotion stone.” She answered, “It will help tap in our deepest emotion if we think about them hard enough to stir something within us and it amplifies it with so much strength that as long as our feelings are real and strong it will work.” She gave him a hard look and Hyun Sung looked at the stone with slight apprehension.

“Isn’t it cheating?” he asked.

“No, there is nothing in the rules that say we can’t use it.” she said, and gripped her own that was already around her neck. “So, trust me and come on. Let’s go and win our first battle!” she encouraged.

Hyun Sung looked away from the stone and towards her. A sense of being able to do anything in the world filled him when he saw the determined look in her beautiful eyes, and that soft smile on her lips. Just looking at her, and he knew he could do the impossible. So long as he believed in her. So he nodded his head, and followed her out to the field the moment that their names were called. Confidence like never before swelled in him and he could not even begin to understand what it all meant.

When they were in the field, Hyun Sung felt himself confidently standing forward, and couldn’t stop smiling at the feel of Hyuna being behind him, where she would respectively stand if she really was his mate. You know the feeling when you know there is someone beside you and standing firmly at your side? Well, that was what he was feeling. That was what every dominant male felt when it came to their mates. He felt as if he could trust her completely and she was there to support him and push him through and all he had to do was protect her and make sure that he won. But just having her there made him feel so powerful and full of vigor, that when the battle started, he didn’t hesitate in his moves.

He was like in a boxing ring, standing in the center of the field with his opponent and punching hard and fast towards the other one, his aura feeling his hands like gloves as he did so. The other one tried to match him move for move, as his submissive poured power into him, but that was soon stopped as Hyuna closed her eyes, and clasped both her hands together…she then opened and a most beautiful melodic sound left . Emotions filled her of soft happiness and warm beauty so deep that the feelings were magnified by her stone, creating an even more powerful sound to pour past her lips.  

She sang, so beautifully and lulling like a lullaby that made the submissive fall asleep as her aura filled the entire stadium, lulling everyone in a state of calm which Hyun Sung was spared from. She was amazing when it came to singing, and the opponent seemed to agree because it made them easier to defeat when they became sluggish and tired with the song, even the dominant faltered and struggled to keep his eyes opened and focused on the battle.

Winning against their now sleeping opponent had the crowd cheering for them and Hyuna brightly blushed as she shot him a very happy smile. “We did it, see!” she cheered.

Hyun Sung nodded, and impulsively rushed to her and hugged her.

Hyuna gasped, her eyes going wide for one second before she relaxed against him. Her heart was beating so fast in a way that it never had before and it hurt her. It hurt even more when Hyun Sung let go, and smiled at her so brightly.

“We did do it!” he said, “In no time at all we’ll even be able to defeat Ji Yong and his mate, and then I can show him I am worthy!” he pumped his fist, and began to walk out of the field, while Hyuna felt her heart sink to the pit of her stomach, and silently followed after him.

What was this feeling?

It was so strong even her stone was picking up on it and doubling it, but she didn’t know what to name it. And it hurt, especially when she looked at Hyun Sung.

It hurt.

The moment that Seung Hyun had dropped on the couch to rest, Ji Yong had immediately followed and made it a point to settle himself on top of Seung Hyun, snuggled to his chest and lightly purring. Today’s events had been amazing, from the finishing fights to the modeling show that happened in the end, and finally they had been able to go home. Seung Hyun had been called off duty that day so he had spent it helping Ji Yong as well as learning more about Ji Yong’s fashion filled world. He had to say that what his mate did was both exciting and amazing.

So much planning went into a simple event, to make it look so easy and flowing, that the audience never seemed to think about the hours and hard work that was actually placed behind it all. Ji Yong was so excited and happy though, he couldn’t help but to mention that the final show was actually a concert, which was going to feature a lot of non-artist, and model singers whom just wanted to have fun-like a karaoke.

But being home was probably the best of it all.

“Ji Yong?” Seung Hyun called towards his mate, and the blond haired neko raised his head to look down at him. His brown eyes were shinning again, in that mesmerizing way that made Seung Hyun’s breath catch.

“What is it Hyunnie?” he asked, perplexed by his mates staring.

“I love you” It wasn’t exactly what Seung Hyun had wanted to say, nor was it what he was originally going to say, but the words had just impulsively left his mouth. Ji Yong on the other hand stared at him wide-eyed, unable to really take in the words.

“What?”

“Well, I do love you,” Seung Hyun muttered, and pulled Ji Yong in close. “More and more each day we spend together as well”

Ji Yong scoffed, “Hyunie, love isn’t real”

“What do you mean?” Seung Hyun asked, looking at his mate a bit shocked at his words.

“I mean, I don’t believe in love. I never have, but you are my mate, so you are the only one allowed to say such weird things,” Ji Yong shrugged, “But anyone else I have to say is creepy,”

“You mean when that guy confessed to you?” Seung Hyun asked, trying to understand his boyfriend.

“Yeah, well, it isn’t the first time I’ve been told that you know, so I even wonder if anyone could place a real meaning behind the word” Ji Yong looked at Seung Hyun apologetic.

“It’s alright,” Seung Hyun said, and then grinned, “Why don’t I help you give it meaning then? We can talk this over some food, I’m starving,” Ji Yong stared at his mate hard, and wondered exactly what Seung Hyun meant. However, at the same time he felt like Seung Hyun was dismissing their conversation. After all, he had not expected Seung Hyun to ever tell him that he loved him. He thought that they had something special together but he was not ready to place labels on it, but for some reason, he couldn’t help but feel like this wasn’t going to be common ground.

Pulling away from Seung Hyun he stood up and gave him a glare, “Let’s get one thing straight Seung Hyun”

“What?”

“Love! Is never going to come between what you and I have, got it. I refuse to lose you to it,” the blond black eared neko hissed.

Seung Hyun stared at his mate weirdly, and stood up “So long as you understand how I feel and don’t try to take it the wrong way I don’t think we will ever have a problem!” he hissed in return.

“Fine, it better not” Ji Yong snapped in return.

“Why are you snapping at me?”

“Because you are being weird, and you’re mine. Don’t ing ever think you can leave me!” with that Ji Yong stormed out of the room and towards the kitchen,  looking for food that Seung Hyun had mentioned. Seung Hyun felt confusion before he chased after Ji Yong into the kitchen and slammed his hand onto the table.

“Let’s go hunting Ji, just you and me.” Seung Hyun said, and Ji Yong slammed the refrigerator door closed.

“What…why we have food here?”

“Let’s go hunting” Seung Hyun insisted, “let’s leave this so called civilization and just go relax, and enjoy” he offered and Ji Yong nodded his head at the suggestion as he saw that Seung Hyun wanted to calm him down. His outburst, he had to admit, was weird. Since Seung Hyun just claimed to love him, he should be happy…he should be, but the word love wasn’t making him feel happy as much as Seung Hyun’s attempts to calm him were.

“Okay Hyunie,” he said, and allowed Seung Hyun to grab his hand as both of them headed outside, and into the forest, to hunt.

Well, next chapter will be Gtop hunting and going into Ji Yong's issues with "love" lol XD This chapter was all over the place but I hope you all enjoyed it. new Gtop story also being posted soon, if you guys are interested.
