Chapter 8
[DISCONTINUED] familyLisa has finally completed the work she was given. She's very tired now, after looking at numbers for so long, she was still analysing the data of the company and was busy looking at the stats. She sometimes also helps in shooting and ideas, but mostly she takes care of capital and stats.
She's now free and thinks of what she should do. She immediately gets out of her room and heads towards Ms. Kang's practice room.
As she passes Rosé's room, she hears loud music, she's about to go in but decides not to. It's night time and not a lot of people are outside at this time.
She finally reaches the room and knocks.
"Lisa you can come in." She hears a voice from inside.
She sees Ms. Kang looking at her phone, probably watching a video.
"How'd you know it was me?"
"I know who comes into my practice room."
This woman is really confusing.
Lisa just shrugs it off and decides to find something to dance to. She wanders around the room and looks at different posters on the walls. She finally finds something to dance to.
"Uhh Ms. Kang could I uhh play this one?" She points at the song on the screen.
"Just wait a second I'll complete reviewing this and then I'll help you out."
She starts roaming around the room again. The room was really big, big enough for groups to practice their dances. Lisa always wanted to do this, to see these rooms, to learn better technique, to dance as much as she wants.
To dance like no one's watching.
"Yeah, what were you saying?" Ms. Kang sets her phone aside and walks up to Lisa.
"If this would be okay." She says pointing at the song again.
"Yeah, you could start with that."
She tries to play the song but something isn't right. She calls Ms. Kang again just as she turned around, embarrassed.
"Uhm Ms. Kang, for some reason this won't work, could you?" She says while frowning and scrunching her face. She's just looking at the device.
"The switch, Lisa. Aish you're like a kid." Ms. Kang chuckles. "Oh and stop with this Ms. Kang, Ms. Kang, you sound like a high schooler calling her old teacher."
Lisa chortles. And turns the switch on and plays the song. She starts freestyling again. She dances for about 10 minutes straight. She's now actually feeling tired, so she sits down.
"Your count, it has to go like 2&34, you get it?" Seulgi says while doing the move with her hands and counting with it.
She does the move again and gets it right. She takes a bottle and starts drinking water. To end the impending silence that is about to envelope them soon, she says,
"Uhh Seulgi, I-I don't mean to pry but that night when we met, what exactly were you trying to do, you could barely stand after that."
She sees the other's face as she looks down, hesitating to say anything.
She wants to get to know Seulgi because of this mysterious vibe that she has, or at least that's what she thinks. But she can't just force the other to talk.
"I'm sorry, you don't have to answer. I'll just go now, I'm tired already."
She looks at Seulgi, who's fidgeting with a bracelet on her hand. She waits for her to say something, but then just moves towards the door.
When she's almost at the door, about to go out she, hears Seulgi,
"Y-you can come more often, you know? I didn't see you at all during this one week."
"If I could, I'd wanna come hear every day, maybe even two times a day, but I gotta work." Lisa furrows her brows, she really wants to come here, she loves dancing after all.
"Yeah, I almost forgot you're working for us." Seulgi giggles like a child. "I didn't see you at the meeting though, I was there, just the day after we met."
"I couldn't sleep that night, I wasn't able to get out of bed, Chaeyoung filled me in though."
She glances at Seulgi, who has this unreadable expression, but it looks like she's sad. When Lisa sees that she immediately wants to change that.
"She also told me, you're really scary." She starts grinning. But Seulgi still has that expression. She can't help but feel guilty. "What's wrong? I'm sorry I must have said something stupid, I tend to do that a lot."
She looks everywhere but at Seulgi. She moves towards her and sits down beside her.
In the same spot as before.
She just sits down and says nothing, she doesn't know what to say. They just stay in silence. Lisa isn't like this, she hates silence.
But this silence isn't that bad.
She just recites this over and over in her head until Seulgi finally speaks.
"Lisa, you....you said nothing wrong. I-I just got lost, it happens to me a lot, I think a lot."
She doesn't know how to respond, more like her brain doesn't know how to respond. She says something no one would ever expect her to say, not even herself.
"We don't always need to talk. You can just keep on thinking, I'll be here."
"Aaahhhh!" A loud shriek is what wakes Rosé up from her sleep, in the morning.
She abruptly gets up from the couch she slept on. "Who the !!"
Her face softens when she sees the extremely cute stranger, tapping her phone rigorously, to turn it on.
"The battery died last night." Rosé says while trying so hard to stifle her laugh.
"What the heck happened yesterday and where am I?" She says sternly, while looking around.
Rosé thinks about what she should tell her. She certainly does not want to tell her about what she said yesterday. So she lies.
"Nothing really happened, I saw you entering the building, you were about fall and I just happened to be there, so I brought you to my room."
