A Little Scared...

Monday arrived all too quickly, lunch even quicker. That's how Doyeon ended up at her desk, with seven other people around her. She hadn't stopped glaring at Jaemin and Jeno since everyone else had arrived. Jeno was trying to avoid her eyes, while Jaemin met them with a pleasant smirk on his lips. We aren't friends. She told him in her head, as if he could read minds. And surprisingly, he seemed to understand what she was thinking, Are you uncomfortable? His eyes challenged. Doyeon finally looked away, he wasn't worth the effort, he'd lose whatever weird interest he had in her soon enough. Eventually he'd stopped thinking he knew a thing about her. 

She just wished that would have happened before she was introduced to more people. Speaking of new people, her eyes scanned them. Mark had introduced her to all of them, she had to say Renjun seemed to be her favorite. He was quite and if he did talk it was usually some sassy comment. The others all had more playful personalities. The boy named Jisung seemed the most shy, and he seemed closest to Chenle. Chenle was rather loud, and seemed happy for the most part. Haechan was obviously the most outgoing, he started conversations and change topics quickly. They each had some quirk that made them different, but Doyeon didn't feel like finding what those were. She felt like getting through today and not speaking to these people again. 

Lunch went by without her having to do much talking. They all said they should get in the classroom more often, and Doyeon hoped they wouldn't. When class began, Jaemin passed a note to her.

The drawn face made Doyeon want to punch him. She didn't know what his problem was, but she hoped he would resolve it soon.

Jaemin tapped his pen on paper as class continued. Doyeon hadn't even sent him a note back, not that he thought she would. Even when he put her in the middle of seven guys, she didn't seem the least bit shy. So why was she so against talking to them? Why'd he have to be curious about this certain weirdo? Maybe it was because he felt like he knew her from the first second he saw her...or maybe that in the back of his mind he still wondered why she stared at the swing for so long. Whatever the reason, he found himself curious about a girl he didn't care for.
