"I was trying to stay quiet so you could stare at the swing longer, but I was getting really bored."
The smile stayed on his face as Doyeon stared at him. She hadn't noticed how close the sun was to setting, until the rays started shining into her eyes. She turned to leave, not feeling any need to reply to the odd boy. He hadn't really left his sentence off as an opening to a conversation. If anything it was just a simple statement. A part of her felt bad for not noticing the boy in the tree, she had no idea how long he'd been waiting for her to leave.
Before she was even three steps away, his voice ruined the peace once more. "Hey!" She heard a thud behind her, her curiosity got the better of her, and she turned back to see the boy picking himself up off of the floor. "Aren't you going to say something?" He asked, his smile turning into a pout. Doyeon noticed his looks first, he was a bit too soft looking. The thought was shallow, but she was comparing him to her favorite actor in her mind. He noticed her hesitance, so he took it into his own hands.
"I'm Na Jaemin." He put his hand out to her. A second's hesitation came before her hand slipped into his. "Nam Doyeon, I just moved here." The hand shake lasted two seconds before her hand was back at her side. The setting sun came back into her mind. "I should get home." She told him, he nodded, "It was nice meeting you." He smiled, somehow she felt like she'd always known that smile.
She didn't say anything else, that would just be prolonging the conversation. She got ten steps away before she noticed the sound of footsteps behind her. She glanced back and saw him, he waved, and her forehead creased. She probably would have been more concerned with the situation if she wasn't in a neighborhood full of houses. He was probably just heading home too. He had said he was getting bored.
But as she got closer to her house, and he was
