014: Reunion
Like Stars In the Sky
A yelling voice startled Jaemin awake.
"He's your son too!"
The familiar pitch of his mom's voice only annoyed him. He missed when her tone used to be gentle. That voice that now dampens his mood, used to sing him lullaby when he was younger. The hand that now goes flying in the air as she yells, it used to guide his hands across the piano keys. His dad was the same way now, funny how they can still be similar even after both changing so much. Jaemin looked at the calendar beside his bed, he has violin class tomorrow at the music academy. Which meant he would need to spend the day practicing, he didn't even feel like walking into that room today. But, when has he ever really gotten a say? His parents had been cracking down on him more, ever since they found out he was seeing someone. Maybe they felt like their hold on his life was slipping--he didn't want to think that way about them. He'd always respected his parents, and that won't change--they raised him, and as much as they might hurt him now...he knows they love him. He doesn't have an issue with how they feel towards him; it's how they feel about each other because of him, that's what makes his days a little less bright.
His phone dinged on the bedside table. He already knew who it would be, Juri had made it her personal mission to be the first one to wish him a good morning. A smile stretched across his features at her message.
Message from: Juri
Good morning love~
She'd been using that word for the past few weeks. Jaemin wasn't sure how to feel about it...he hadn't been able to say it back. He thought Juri would have gotten angry at him because of that, but she didn't. She just told him it was alright, and she'd wait for him to return that word. He liked her, he was sure of that. So, he figured since he grew to feel liking towards her, like she'd said he would, he should be able to grow to love her...right?
That thought brought back the memory of Doyeon on her balcony. Her words haven't strayed far from his mind during his whole relationship. He didn't know much about her past, but he was sure it was what made her say those things. Why would she have been so upset if it didn't? It worried him, the thought of hurting Doyeon with what he was doing. But, she wasn't him, she doesn't know how he feels. If she's right, and he or Juri do get hurt, it will be on him. So, she doesn't have to worry about it. Though, in all honesty, it still made him feel uneasy. Maybe he should have thought things through more...
"Ugh!" Jaemin grunted as he stood up from his bed. He ran a hand through his messy hair--trying to calm the beast, but he knew it was a futile attempt. He slowly walked around his room, grabbing everything he'd need after his shower. His school uniform was already hanging up. He wouldn't have to worry about practicing until after school, which meant that the rest of his day after was already filled. His days seemed a lot more planned recently. It usually went: School, Juri, then practice. His time outside of practicing had been filled with hanging out with Juri--he wasn't sure the last time he'd properly hung out with his friends. Which is why it was even more upsetting when he got angry and declined going to get ice cream. He would have gladly skipped out on everything else. That's what he'd done before recently, it was hard trying to stay to his schedule for once.
As bad as it sounds, he isn't sure how much longer he can handle playing that stupid violin, or piano. The only instrument he really enjoyed anymore was the guitar, and he barely played it. Jaemin sighed as he the shower faucet. A nice warm shower would clear his already jumbled mind.
He wanted a get away...
And he'd get one, in a way.

"Do you want to go somewhere today?" Juri asked as she attached herself to Jaemin's arm. School had just let out, which meant he'd just gone to pick Juri up from her class. Jaemin pouted his lips.
"Sorry, I've got to get home early today." He ruffled her hair, his smile was wide as he looked at her scrunched up nose. Juri was a pretty girl, he'd taken note of that the first time he saw her. Her phone dinging took her attention away. Her eyes seemed to sparkly at whatever the message said. "Who's that?" Jaemin asked casually, he was just curious as to who made her look so happy.
"Ah," Juri looked up from her phone, "Just a friend." She smiled, removing her hand from his arm as she tucked the phone back into her bag. "Text me later!" She said quickly before running off ahead of him. Jaemin laughed, she was so perky.
Jaemin jogged his way down the school steps. "Ah!" He yelped when a person suddenly stepped into his path--causing him to trip over his own foot. Jaemin grunted as he almost fell onto the ground. He managed to catch himself at the last moment. "What the crap!?" He yelled, his heads flying in the air.
Jeno had to hold in a puff of laughter, "Sorry about that, man." He bit back his smile.
Jaemin rolled his eyes, "What do you need?" he asked, a little too much bitterness in his voice. He was still angry about not being included in the invitation to the coffee shop. Maybe it was petty of him, he probably should have moved on by now. But, I guess you can just call him Mr. Petty.
"Everyones coming to my house for a movie night tonight." He stated, "If you want to come." Jeno moved his eyes, it was awkward inviting him right now. Jeno cleared his throat, "You can take it as a peace offering, if you'd like." He wasn't sure if him and Jaemin had been in the middle of a fight, but he had been feeling guilty since Jaemin's comment the day before.
Jaemin laughed, "You really think that's gonna make up for you excluding me?" He asked, purposefully acting sassy.
"Yeah, since you're the one who didn't come to any of the plans before that." Jeno
