003: S.M High School
Like Stars In the Sky
S.M High School...
A week had passed with Doyeon not leaving her house. But sadly, today would mark the end of that. Because, today was the first day of her second year of high school. It's funny how she feels so indifferent about that. Usually, she would either be ecstatic or be dreading the beginning of a new school year. Maybe it's because this is a whole new place, so she doesn't have any expectations for what it will be like. Her dad had always told her and her siblings that it was important to go into things with an open mind and heart. And she'd never questioned that, but she felt herself wavering at times. When she thought of all the new people, and places, she'd yet to see and meet...it was hard not to want to curl up in a ball and be alone.
But she pushed all of this to the back of her mind, as she stood before the entrance of the school. She took a deep breath, and walked. Laughter rang out as students greeted old friends they hadn't seen all summer. Anxious first years passed by her, they were easy to spot. She wasn't in either of these categories, she was one of the people who were just trying to find their classes. Luckily, the school was rather small so that wasn't very hard.
When she walked into the classroom she'd be in her the rest of the year, she immediately walked back to the seats in the corner. These desks were set up in groups of three, with a long desk that all three students could use. She had to stop herself from sighing again, this school was expensive and rather fancy, but they couldn't even separate the seats? She plopped down on the chair closest to the window, which meant she'd probably have two seatmates on the right of her. Her eyes fluttered closed as she waited for everyone else to arrive.
It had already been five minutes, and the class just became louder with every passing second. The sound of voices appeared close to her, then the chairs beside her scraped against the floor as two people took their seats. Her eyes remained shut, she didn't want to face these people yet. She'd rather stay in her fantasy where nobody took those seats. But, to her dismay, the people started talking to her, and one of the voices sounded awfully familiar.
"Hey," the peppy beat in his voice made her frown as she opened her eyes, she looked over and met eyes with the boy from the park. "Doyeon, right?" He asked. She nodded and racked her brain for his name, but nothing came to her. He seemingly noticed this, "Jaemin, from the park." He reminded her. Doyeon nodded slowly, "Riigght." She drew the word out as her eyes moved to look at the boy seated right next to her. He smiled at her, "I'm Mark." She nodded, the teacher walked in right then, saving her from having to reply. Introductions were always awkward.

The first two classes were back-to-back, and luckily that stopped any chance of chit chat between Doyeon and her seatmates. But just between her and them. The two boys still shared hushed whispers throughout random parts of class. Which was only a tad bit annoying. Doyeon wasn't some tyrant that couldn't handle noise, and would just snap at the drop of a pin. Though, if someone heard her inner thoughts they might perceive her in that very light. But, that really wasn't the case. She was easily distracted, usually by her own thoughts, but in a place like this, other students were even more distracting. Her class seemed quite thus far, so that's a plus. But just two ninety minute classes had gone by, she still wasn't sure what to expect from these people.
When she did scan the classroom, she noticed it had about twenty people. It wasn't as big as her old school rooms, but it was still a good size. There were seemingly nine boys and the rest were girls. So it was almost even. This was of course coun
