007: Liar Liar Pants On Fire
Like Stars In the Sky
liar Liar Pants On Fire...
A month has passed without much change. It was now mid October, and fall break was about to begin. During the last month, everything had pretty much stayed the same, Jaemin would bother her at school and with his music at home. He and his friends had even eaten lunch with Doyeon twice since the first time. She wouldn't say they'd gotten any closer. When they forced her to eat with them, she'd sink into the background and mostly live in her own world for that lunch break. Though there has been a few times she would join in and talk. She wasn't awkward around them, they just weren't close.
She assumed it would continue like this, she'd keep them as acquaintances if they can't be strangers. But things don't always go as planned, and you can't keep people away forever. Though in all honesty, she didn't think she'd get close to any of them anytime soon...but as the saying goes, expect the unexpected
"Didn't you say you'd leave me alone?" Doyeon asked as she closed her locker. Jeno smiled at her warily, "I did..." he paused, "but I need a favor." He held up one finger, making Doyeon feel a sudden wave of deja vu. "Just this once!" Doyeon grabbed her book and motioned for him to walk to class with her. Today was the last day before Fall break. "I need someone to babysit Jun, just for a few hours!" He pleaded. Doyeon eyed him, "Can't one of your friends do it?" She asked. He shook his head, "No." His answer was curt and he had no plan on explaining why. Doyeon sighed, she really really didn't want to. She had no intention of going to his house again. "Why do you need a babysitter?" She finally asked. "The usual one can't make it." The two of them came to a stop outside of their classroom.
Doyeon looked him in the eyes. In his eyes she saw just how much he needed her to say yes. "Fine." She finally relented. "What day?" He looked immediately relieved, "Tomorrow. You're a lifesaver!" Just as he said it the bell rang. "Give me your phone," he put his hand out impatiently. Doyeon handed it over, assuming it had something to do with the babysitting gig. "I'll text you my address since I can't walk you tomorrow." He gave her back the phone before heading into class. Doyeon sighed as she did the same.
Mark and Jaemin gave her questioning looks, having seen the interaction outside of the classroom, but neither said anything.

The next day came quickly. Usually Doyeon would spend the first day of break doing absolutely nothing, and to begin with she did. But at around four o'clock, she had to leave for Jeno's house. When she went to knock on the door, it opened before she even fully pulled her hand back. Jeno smiled at her quickly before rushing past her. "I left money for you two to order a pizza, Jun's watching tv in the living room." He paused, thinking for a second. He smacked his forehead, "Here," he patted at his pocket before pulling something out. When it was in Doyeon's hand she realized it was an inhaler. "Jun's slightly asthmatic, he shouldn't need it while I'm gone unless he runs around too much or gets worked up." Jeno explained how to use it, saying Jun should be fine using it himself, but if not, she should help him. After that Jeno left, leaving Doyeon on his front porch in a bit of confusion.
When she finally got inside, she slipped off her shoes before going to find the TV room. She could already hear the noise of cartoons from a little ways away. This time, she had a little longer to look at the photos on the walls. Not a single one showed his parents. Maybe she shouldn't be curious, but she was.
"Hey, little dude." She said as she took a seat on the couch. Jun looked over at her, jumping up from his seat in
