"Sorry Kyu! But please hurry up and follow me! I need to show you something!"
I pouted crossing my arms.

"Kyu.... Please I'll make it up to you" I closed my eyes shut and began humming a random song. I knew that
"Never." I tried pulling my hands away but she gripped harder.
"Kyu, I really am sorry. Please just do this for me..." I peeked through my eyes and saw her cute pout.

"Yay!" she pulled me along with her through the kitchen and on to the dining room area.

"Just do it you party pooper." she pinched my arms.
"Oww!" I quickly whished for my biggest desire and blew out the candles.
“So? What did you wish for?”
“Can’t or it won’t come true” I stuck out my tongue at her. She clicked hers in response and walked away mumbling some profanity.
Hahaha what would I do without her?
The lights flashed back on and the clapping roared louder throughout the dinner room. I put on my angelic face and began thanking my coworkers individually.
"Kyuhyun! Happy birthday punk!" Kangin pulled me into a tight hug.
"Thanks Hyung... but what about the costumers? I just noticed no one is coming in." He let go and began ruffling my hair.
"Oh that! Don't worry Kyu! You've been working for me since I first opened up the shop! You brought in almost all of my regular customers and you've never been a day late to work only early sometimes too early but whatever! You are like my son! Of course I would give the staff a half day off for you."
"Hyung... But-"
"Don't worry Kyu! I'm not even close to being poor! I could handle closing the shop once in awhile" He grinned and patted my shoulder as he went of to help Yesung set up the karaoke machine that he had bought for my birthday, with the help of my other co-workers.
"Kyu! Have you tried the cake?"
"No. I hate cake. I hate parties too! Why did you organize one without my permission?!"
"Oh Kyu you need to calm down bud! Chillax!"
"Chillax? What the hell is th-"
Before I could finish my sentence
What the hel- hmm its actually pretty good and not too sweet.
"Its not that bad…. Who made it?"
"Ohh just little ol'me" she giggled.
"Crap. I hope I don't get diarrhea!" I began to act panicked.
She was not amused and decided to punch me on the stomach. I began to choke on my food.
"What the hell?! Is this how you treat your best friend!"
"Bleh! Karma!"
"You little punk!" I grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the room. No one noticed because Yesung had been singing and dancing like a drunkard.
We walked out to the porch of the shop. The shop was protected with a class type of wall. It looked a bit like a green house. Kangin wanted the whole restaurant to be about fresh and healthy but tasty foods along with a peaceful atmosphere.

“I’m sorry” I could barely make out what she had said. I looked at her and noticed she was looking at her lap with her head down and arms crosses.
“Humph liar…” I pretended to be annoyed and looked proudly towards the entrance
“No… Kyu! I-I just wanted to make you happy… not upset. I wanted to give you happy memory…. I won’t do it again just please forgive me…”
I took a quick glance at her and saw a tear streaming down.
Crap.
I reached over the table and wiped her tear away.
“*Sigh* its fine just don’t cry… idiot.”
“Hehe Sorry… thank you… Kyu I also need to tell you something. I kinda-ish forgot you’re umm birthday.” She looked up at me and saw my surprised face.
“huh?”
“Yea… im sorry! On Thursday I told everyone about the party and I had made the cake on Friday afternoon and I was really reeeally excited for today but I ended up forgetting about everything! I’m so so sooo terribly sorry kyu!! I can understand if you’re angry but just know that I really am sorry!!!”
“Wait…So you’re telling me that I, the grand Kyu-“
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
“-hyun ate a cake made yesterday and not a freshly baked cake!”
“I’m sorry! Wait you’re mad about that?”
“I am going to get diarrhea!”
“Kyu!!”
“No! how could you make me eat that?” I covered my mouth with my hand trying my best to look offended without laughing over
“Kyuuuuu!”
“hahah I’m just kidding. Look I’m not mad cuz last year I remember getting drunk on you’re birthday. We didn’t even get to eat a cake that day remember?”
“Yea. I do.”
“Now we’re even!” I smirked at her annoyed expression.
“But I really am scared of getting diarrhea… “
She looked at me intently as I sunk back on my chair.
“I kid
She clicked her tongue and grabbed the butter knife. I quickly jumped off my chair and picked it up to use as armor.
“C-calm down
“Heh. Sure Kyu… but first put down the chair.”
I hastily did what I was told.
“I kid Kyu, I kid.” She began running after me as screamed my lungs out.” I was running around the porch trying to avoid entering the restaurant. I didn’t want everyone see me being chased by this cruel woman.
“Stop~! I’m sorry!”
“Haha too late Kyu!” I took a quick glance and quickly regretted it. There she was closing the distance, in mid-air, laughing like a maniac.
I plummeted to the ground with her on top of me. Holding the butter knife.
“Hahahah I’m not actually going to stab you with this dirty thing!”
I blushed…. Uncontrollably.
Today is not my best day.
“G-get off!!”
“Hahahha no!”
“Get off you psycho!!”
“Pssh fi- wooah!!”
“Get your hands off of me! kyu!”
“What the hell?”
I quickly scrambled back up on my feet and pulled
“Don’t touch her!”
“Ah! You know her?” the guy pointed at
“That’s none of your business! Why did you grab her like that?! You better leave before I call the police!”
“NO! Please don’t do that Kyu! I didn’t –“
“How do you know me?” I loosened my grip on
“Sorry Kyu it’s me! Sungmin!” I eyed the culprit in suspension.
He took off his scarf and pushed back his hair. It was Sungmin.
“What the heck are you doing here?! How did you find me?”
“Ah well I came to say Happy Birthday. I found you through a friend who had eaten here before during your shift. I’m sorry uhh”

“It’s fine Sungmin”
“No. It’s not fine.”

“Sungmin please leave.”
“But Kyu!”
“I’ll talk to you later. Just go for now please.” I know this must have hurt Sungmin to his bones but something happened to
“Kyu I-“ I shout a quick glare towards Sungmin. He paused and walked away looking like a dog with it’s tail between it’s legs.
“*sigh*
“Huh What are you talking about?”
“You know… you were shaking but not the normal ‘I’m scared’ no it was uncontrollably. It was really bad shaking… I felt like there was an earthquake or something…. What’s going on?”
“Kyu it’s none of your business I know you care about me but we are not siblings, cousins, blood related, or even a couple. It’s not any of your business. You don’t even lov- ugh never mind.”
She turned her back towards me making her way back to the front door of the restaurant. I grabbed her arm and forced her to face me.
“It’s none of my business? It is! I do love you! You’re my best friend! Why do you say that I don’t? Is it because of last year? On your birthday? Is it because I don’t love you romantically?”
She looked up at me with a surprised face.
“Y-you remember?”
“Yea. I mean how could I have forgotten that? You looked as if I had killed you’re pet for the next 3 months.”
“You played with me?”
“No! Of course not!”
Slap!
I touched my burning cheeks.
“Heh. I was right to never fully trust you… I know you don’t love me but did you really have to pretend like you didn’t remember? Remember the horrible way you turned me down? Was my confession really not that important for you? So unimportant that you had to mock me like that?”
She wiped the tears off her face.
“
“Kyuhyun I would have not let that happened…”
“I know… I’m stupid. I shouldn’t have behaved that way but I was scared and surprised. Please forgive me…”
“AHHHHH I hate how I can’t even be angry at you for more than a minute!!!”
“… I’m sorry.”
“Whatever Kyu… but you should have learned your lesson from the past. You shouldn’t be playing with someone else’s feelings.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Him. I know you love him. Maybe that’s why I can’t hate you for making a fool out of me.” She flicked my forehead and clicked her tongue. “He seems like a nice guy. I can tell he loves you. He was even willing to fight a girl for you. Heh.”
“There’s nothing going on between the two of us. I made sure of that.”
“Did you really? I think you’re lying.” She grabbed my collar pulling my face close to hers.
“Stop being so stupid and go after him”
“I don’t believe in love.”
“Liar. I know you’re past Kyu. Stop blaming yourself! Its annoying!”
“But-“
“YOU. ARE. NOT. YOUR. PAARENTS!!!”

“But if I go there is no turning back.”
“I know” She let go of me. She smiled gently, showing her pearly white teeth. Her eyes, on the other hand, told me they were hurting and in pain.
“If I stay you know I can and will be able to fall in love with you.”
“I know. I’m lovable” She giggled and pushed me away from her.
“I mean seriously. My heart skips a beat when I see you.”
“Kyu I know. But even if you do fall in love with me you won’t ever be as happy as you could be… with him. Now. Go. Before you see me break down and force you to stay by tying you up!”
“I wouldn’t mind” I felt myself grin.
“Just go! Hehe”
“Thank you.” I kissed her forehead and walked towards the sidewalk.
“Kyu!”
“Yea”
“… Be happy.” She laughed playfully and turned her back towards me. I stared at her for a while… memorizing her beautiful figure. It hurt me seeing her shoulders move up and down. I wanted to hold her tight and make all her pain go away.
She would hate it if I did that.
I forced my legs to move away from the building. I knew that if I stayed longer I would not be able to leave.
But for the first time in a while I wanted to do something for me. Not to make others, that I love, happy. I just wanted to do what I wanted and I wanted to be with Sungmin.
I ran around the block a few times and searched to the near by park with no luck.
“I should just call him” I took out my phone and dialed his number. I may have erased it but I never forgot the number. I could hear a phone go off at a distance. The music lead me towards an alley where I could see a figure sitting at a corner, sobbing.
“Sungmin?”
“Huh? K-Kyu?”
The figure quickly got up. I could see his red puffy eyes and stained cheeks glowing under sunlight.
“Kkkkyu” Sungmin began crying uncontrollably and very loudly.
“Wahhhh Kyu!!! I’m soooorry ahhhh”
Aissh this kid…
“I only wanted to spend the day with you and wish you a happy birthday! I really didn’t mean to hurt her! I just thought you were being attac-“
I ran up to him and pulled him into a hug. His body fit perfectly with mine.
I rubbed circles on his back trying to calm him down. I felt his arms slowly reach up and wrap themselves on my waist. I grinned to myself.
Who knew someone could be this cute!
“Kyu?”
“Shhh. It’s okay.”
“Happy Birthday”
“Haha Thank you.”
“I-I love you”
“I know.”
I tightened my grip on him. I didn’t want this feeling to leave. I felt so content. So happy.
Sorry for updating late XD i've been study for my exams T~T on the bright side only 3 weeks left! than i'll be able to concentrate on this more! woot woot! keke I was supposed to do my hmwk for my psychology class but i decided to work on this instead keke another all nighter today! woot woot T~T
