Our first encounter was nothing but awkward

Chapter 6: A chance encounter.

 

Haneul felt her heart beat fast as she stood outside the YG building

 

*Calm down Yang Haneul, you gonna be fine, you gonna be fine* she chanted as she covered her face closely with the muffler before rushing into the building.

 

“Good morning Haneul-sshi” the workers greeted her as she looked at them

“Is my disguise that bad?” she sighed taking off her muffler as she walked towards her dad’s office

“Papa?” she knocked before popping her head into her dad’s office

“Haneul-ah, how are you?” her dad asked smiling at her brightly as she ran to hug him

“I’m sorry I was mad that night papa” she said hugging him as her dad her hair lovingly

“I even got your favourite cappuccino, appa have to tell you something” her dad said as Haneul pulled away

“About what? My new oppa who eomma said I have to eat today?” she asked as her dad chuckled shaking his head

“That’s your choice, appa has no say in that” her dad said as Haneul nodded

“Sit” her dad said patting to the sofa as Haneul obediently sat down
“My dear daughter...” her dad said taking her tiny hands in his hands

“Don’t be mad at your eomma oh?” he said as Haneul looked at her dad

“Don’t be mad that she lived with me for twenty two years in a disguised love” her dad said as Haneul looked at him blankly

“What do you mean papa?” she asked as her dad gave her hands a tight squeeze

“The man your mom is getting married to is her high school sweetheart. He is the man who has always had a place in her heart, the man your mom could never forget” her dad paused, Haneul clearly noticing that her dad was hurt but was okay with what was literally going through.

“Appa...you can’t say that. Eomma loves you....maybe not now but once she did that why you married her, that’s why you have me” Haneul said as her voice cracked.

“She did...but she could never forget her first love, the man who left her and came back and the woman who was always waiting for him...you see my dearest daughter, if the love you first found was really true, no matter how much of a truer love you find, it’ll never remain replaced” her dad said as Haneul nodded

“Neh papa, I’ll never forget those words” she said with a sad smile
“That’s like a good daughter” her dad smiled
“You have to be assured that you have me till the end of time oh papa?” Haneul said tears b in her eyes as her dad smiled warmly nodding
“Saranghae papa” she said as a tear escaped her eye

“I love you too, my little Haneul” her dad said wiping her tear away.

“Bobby, why are you so tense?” Yun asked as Hanbin nodded in agreement

“I have a date, I’m freaking out” Bobby said going from one corner to another

“YOU have a date?” June chuckled as Bobby made a face

“With a girl I have never met, yeah” Bobby sighed

“Then go, what are you doing here?” Jinan asked

“Please accompany me Hanbin, please accompany me” Bobby said going directly to Hanbin
“I’m sorry I have to accompany someone else for another appointment” Hanbin said grabbing his sweater

“And I should be leaving by now...Bye” he said exiting the place

“Please please someone accompany me” Bobby begged as the boys sighed

“Why did you even agree on a date with someone you don’t know?” Chanwoo muttered

“Well it’s not REAAALLLYYY a romantic date ..ahhhhh I freaking out” Bobby messed up his hair

“Fine I’ll come with you” Jinan said raising his hand

“Or can we all drag along?!” Donghyuk said excitedly

“NOPE” Bobby shouted

“Just one” he said as the others pouted

“FINE” the rest shouted

“We’ll be back” Jinan waved as the guys waved at them

“Bye” Bobby said before exiting the room.

 

 

“Hey babe” Hanbin said hugging Haneul from behind as she turned to him and hugged him

“Hey” she smiled

“So, shall we go?” Hanbin asked as Haneul paused

“I hope he likes me” she muttered as Hanbin pinched her cheeks

“Who won’t like my girlfriend, now let’s go, your oppa can't be that bad” he chuckled as Haneul smiled nodding.

 

SOON:

“Reservation under Kim Haneul?” Haneul said to the reception as the lady nodded

 

Yeah because that’s what Hanbin insisted we should do...KIM HANEUL -.-

 

“Please come over here” the lady said politely, leading them to one of the private reservation areas.

“So you’re saying you’ve never met her but you agreed to see her?” Jinan asked as Bobby nodded timidly
“She’s on her way” Bobby answered as Jinan nodded

“And by the way, does Hanbin has a girlfriend or something? He seems to acting cocky these days” Jinan asked as Bobby looked at him

“I won’t lie, he has” Bobby said as Jinan glared at him

“Since WHEN?!” Jiana asked

“Since a few months, but it’s supposed to be a secret” Bobby said as Jinan sighed nodding

“I wouldn’t really recommend dating for any of our members, look at what happened to June and Haneul” Jinan sighed as Bobby nodded.
The door suddenly opened as two figures walked in as the two shifted their gaze at the two

“What is Hanbin doing here?” Bobby muttered as Jinan looked equally stunned

“H-Hanbin?” Jinan muttered as Hanbin looked at them, shunned

“What are you two doing here?” he muttered as Haneul felt her face heat up

“Jinan oppa and Bobby oppa?” she said under her breath.
