I just endlessly get sad.

Everyday after you left,

I hate this pain of being left all alone.

 

 

 

Chapter 14: This terrible aftermath.

 

“Here, have some coffee~” Haneul sang as she walked with two cups of coffee on her hands with June with the whole tray of coffee and snacks

“I’ll enjoy it, thank you” Yun said taking the coffee along with Jinan

“Four left... Hanbin, Hayi, you and me” Haneul counted

“Where are they?” Haneul asked as June gave an ‘I-Don’t-know’ reaction
“Shall we check outside?” Haneul asked as June nodded.

 

“Annyeong” a voice called as Hanbin turned back and saw Hayi grabbing her sweater close

“Why are you alone here like this?” she asked as Hanbin smiled turning back

“Just having some thoughts” Hanbin smiled as Hayi nodded
“Thinking about Haneul and June?” Hayi asked as Hanbin breathed

“Why would I think about that?” Hanbin asked as Hayi chuckled

“Isn’t it clear? They are both still in love with each other” Hayi said looking straight

“It was June who left her in the first place so whatever was between them is done, I don’t want to talk about the past anyway” Hanbin said putting his hands in his pocket

“You don’t know the whole story don’t you?” Hayi asked as Hanbin looked at her

“What story?” Hanbin asked as Hayi looked at him

“It wasn’t June’s fault exactly” Hayi said turned away

“Listen, Hayi I don’t want to talk about this anymore—”

“Just because I wanted to make someone jealous I used him because he was good to me...because he was my ex, I used him as a weapon. He was drunk that night when Haneul saw us kissing” Hayi paused as she breathed deeply

“I never knew things would turn this way either...it was me who forced June into dating me because he knew how important my career was for me, just because I thought doing so will bring the guy I loved to me...I made sure they didn’t meet at all...I made sure June wouldn’t be able to reach her and never delivered her messages to her” Hayi sighed
“...I know I sound really evil right now...but it’s clear they still like each other after all this” she added as Hanbin looked at Hayi

“She is my girlfriend and I’m gonna protect her till the very end, make sure your boyfriend stays under his limits too” Hanbin said as he walked away, leaving Hayi flustered

“All this for you and you don’t even care” Hayi muttered as she breathed frustrated.

 

 

“Oh that must be them” Haneul said as she walked towards the two figures when she stopped dead and pulled June behind a tree as he looked at her

“Just because I wanted to make someone jealous I used him because he was good to me...because he was my ex, I used him as a weapon. He was drunk that night when Haneul saw us kissing” she heard Hayi say to Hanbin as she blinked and let go of her grip on June’s sweater

“Han—” June whispered as she shook her head, tears b in her eyes.

“I never knew things would turn this way either...it was me who forced June into dating me because he knew how important my career was for me, just because I thought doing so will bring the guy I loved to me...I made sure they didn’t meet at all...I made sure June wouldn’t be able to reach her and never delivered her messages to her” Haneul felt her world shatter as she gulped what she just heard as she walked away into the house, June following her.

“I’ll be back” she muttered as she placed the tray of coffee on the table as she walked towards the exit.

 

So all this time I was mad at June...wasnt actually his fault?

 

I was just being selfish trying to be happy with someone when he was just being used as a playtoy...How miserable I must have made June.

How can I be so mean to the guy I love so much...Why did I never try to meet him and ask him directly what was wrong?

 

Tears streamed down Haneul’s face as Hayi’s words flashed in her mind

...because he was my ex, I used him as a weapon

“Haneul” June called her as he pulled her roughly into the corner at the alley

“Where are you going this late at night? You might end up in danger and—” June said as he shook her by her shoulders when he noticed her tears

“H-Haneul-ah...” he called as he looked at Haneul

“Mianhae” she said as her voice cracked

“Yah...yah uljima oh? You know I hate it when you cry” June said as Haneul remembered things from years ago, her memories with June from two years ago.

 

Flashback:

“Y-Yah, are you crying?” June asked as Haneul covered her face with her hands

“W-what’s wrong? Is it because of me?” he asked worriedly as Haneul shook her head

“You know Koo June hates it when Yang Haneul cries” June said as Haneul looked at him with swollen eyes

“...Because June loves Haneul so much” he smiled.

 

 

“I’m sorry” she said as she covered her face with her hands as June rubbed away her tears

“I-I never knew the truth, I thought it was you who kept pushing me away, I made up my own part of the story and lived with it...I’m sorry I didn’t trust you enough” Haneul cried as June looked at her as he felt his heart ache

“Stop crying now” June said pulling her into a hug

“Because June doesn’t want to see Haneul cry” he whispered as Haneul broke into tears.
