Chapter 21: Her happiness, his happiness, everyone's happiness.

 

“Are you guys teaming up against me?” she said unbelievably as Hanbin grabbed Haneul’s hand when Haneul felt another grip...again?!

“Ju—” Haneul said turning back when she saw Bobby grabbing her other hand

“Hanbin, it’s time I start protecting my sister” Bobby said as Haneul felt awe rush over to her.

“You think I don’t notice things that are actually going on right now?” Bobby asked as Haneul looked at her oppa

“Y-yah, settle down you two” Jinan said as Bobby pulled Haneul towards him

“I don’t even know if I should trust you with my sister anymore” Bobby said as Haneul gulped

“O-oppa, that’s enough...stop it” she said as Bobby looked at her and then at June

“Please be with her till I come back” Bobby said as June nodded

“You follow me” Bobby said tapping on the leader’s chest as he exited the practice room.

“W-what’s going on?” Haneul muttered, frightened

“This is all because of you Yang Haneul. Things have been bad since you came” Hayi said annoyed

“Yah” June said as the others sighed

 

What was really going on?

 

Meanwhile:

“Jerk” Bobby said as Hanbin looked at his best friend

“Mwo?” Hanbin said as Bobby clenched his fist

“Do you think me, the boys....Haneul, of all people, are blind? Do you think we don’t notice how you and Hayi are getting close these days?!” Bobby asked as Hanbin sighed

“If this is because of Hayi, I don’t want to talk about it” Hanbin said as Bobby grabbed the leader’s collar

“I thought...maybe, this guy has had no girlfriend ever since he was born then maybe, he would hold tight to the first person he ever loved...jerk...bastard...huh...trying to score a two game at once eh?” Bobby smirked as rage ran over Hanbin

“You don’t know anything, stay out of it” Hanbin said pushing Bobby away

“FINE! Let her go then! Don’t date her! I can see any of the boys treating her better than you are treating her right now” Bobby said as Hanbin sighed

“Do you know how disappointed she was because you, of all people, forgot her birthday and went on a date with Hayi, of all people?” Bobby asked angrily as Hanbin looked at Bobby

“This is my problem. Let me deal with this” Hanbin said walking away.

“If you let her go, you’re gonna regret it” Bobby said as the leader continued walking away without looking back.

 

 

A few days passed by after the incident, Haneul looked at her phone waiting for the call Hanbin had promised her.

 

Incoming call: Hanbin

 

“Annyeong” she answered as she raised her hand to feel the rain that was already dripping outside.

“Where are you?” he asked

“Where we decided to meet. Are you gonna be late?” she asked trying not to sound too upset

“I don’t think I’ll make it...mian” Hanbin’s voice said from the other line as Haneul sighed a bit

“it’s okay...I’ll see you some other day then” she said hanging up.

 

Haneul sighed looking at the pretty outfit she had decided to wear for that day

 

“Such a waste” she muttered as she felt the rain hit her hand

“la di da da la dida” she sang

“Idaero bonaegineunaswiunigga, igeon ama saesang gajangseulseulhan melodiya” his voice sang as Haneul turned to him

“Hey mister airplane, jhamkan meomjwobwa” he continued singing while letting the rain hit his hands. 

“Pabo...” she said as a tear escaped her eye

“Haneul, don’t think I’m weird for doing this okay?” Hanbin said turning to his girlfriend as Haneul looked at him weirdly

“W-what?” she muttered when Hanbin s his arms around her waist.

 

Haneul stared at her boyfriend as his face moved just inches from her, his cute dimpled smile plastered over his face.

When was the last time we both felt this much love and bliss?

The rain, the sound of the rain, the smell of rain and his warm lips against mine was everything I had needed.

“Why’d you want to meet so suddenly?” Hayi asked as June sighed looking at her

“Hayi-yah...just answer me nicely okay?” June said annoyed as Hayi looked at him

“Why are you doing this to Haneul?” June asked as Hayi stared for a while

“What am I doing what to Haneul?” she asked as June sighed

“Don’t try to come out innocent.” June said as Hayi smiled folding her hands

“What? What do you want to know exactly?”

“That I love Hanbin so much but he’s so obsessed with that that he never noticed me for five years?” Hayi asked as June sighed

“Haneul likes you...it’s clear. It’s written all over her face that she loves you...darn it Koo Junhoe”

“Stay away from Haneul...I won’t just sit back this time” June said as he walked away

“THINK OF YOURSELF TOO ARASOO?! WHY WHOULD YOU BE SAD ALL THE TIME WATCHING THE GIRL YOU LOVE BE IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER PERSON?!” Hayi shouted as June walked away

“As long as she’s happy I don’t care” June muttered as he clenched his fist.

That day, I had the perfect date with Hanbin.

We played in the rain, splashed water on each other, had fish cakes, ate pork cutlets...it was like everything was going back to the days where we were all happy.

It looked like one of the days where me and June used to be happy.

I wonder if I’ll ever get my picturesque happy ending?
