Chapter 15: 죄송 해요

 

 

“Haneul-ah, that’s enough okay?” June said as he lovingly patted her back as she hugged him back

“Hush there” June said pulling away as he wiped her tears

“I’m sorry that I didn’t try harder oh?” June said as tears continued flowing from Haneul’s eyes

“I’m sorry I never understood you...I’m sorry” Haneul said looking down as she sobbed as June nodded

“Now stop your tears okay? You shouldn’t be wasting your tears on me, it’s for Hanbin, remember?” June smiled sadly as Haneul looked at him

“I’m sorry for whatever happened between us Haneul, it really shouldn’t have ended that way but think of it, maybe this second meeting was a chance for us to clear this misunderstanding...” June smiled
“...Maybe this around things will make more sense. I know you are happy with Hanbin, if you’re happy it means I am happy to remember?” June said as Haneul looked at him

“You optimistic pabo” Haneul sighed as June chuckled

“Whatever” he said making a face

“Do you want to head back now? I guess the guys will be worried” June said cupping her face as Haneul nodded.

 

Hanbin sighed in frustration as he looked at Haneul’s phone that was left on the table, hopeless and unable to do anything

“They’re gonna be back don’t worry” Jinan reassured the leader when they heard the front door open as Hanbin rushed over to see June and Haneul together

“Haneul, June where were you guys?” Hanbin asked worriedly as June met eyes with Hayi who looked innocently at them

“Are you okay?” Hanbin asked going over to Haneul as she nodded
“I’m just tired, I’ll get some sleep” Haneul said as she walked with Hanbin who led her to his room

“Was she crying?” Hayi asked as June looked at her

“You come with me” he said dragging her away from the scene, leaving the guys all confused.

“Hey babe?” Hanbin called as Haneul pulled the blanket close to her, covering her face

“...Were you crying?” he asked as Haneul shook her head

“Did I do something to upset you?” Hanbin asked as Haneul shook her head

“I’m just tired oppa, I’ll be okay...” Haneul said turning to him as she met Hanbin looking at her worriedly as he lay next to her

“Can you just drop me off early morning tomorrow before the guys wake up?” Haneul asked as Hanbin pushed a strand of hair away from her face

“Sure babe, I will” he said as Haneul nodded

“Everything will be ok right?” she asked as Hanbin looked at her

“Yeah” he muttered sadly as he kissed her forehead

“Get some sleep” he said pulling her close to him as Haneul took in his scent as he breathed calmly

“Goodnight” he whispered.

 

“Oppa, what are you doing?” Hayi asked as June stood near his car

“Get in” he said as Hayi looked at him

“But where are we going?” she asked as June looked at her

“Your house, now get in” he said getting inside the car as his girlfriend reluctantly followed

“But I’m staying over with the guys, why are you doing this? Did I do something wrong?” Hayi asked as June continued driving

“Oppa drive slow, you might hit someone!” Hayi said worriedly.

 

The car soon halted outside Hayi’s apartment as June got out before opening the door for her

“Hayi, let’s keep this short oh?” June said as Hayi looked at him

“What?” she asked as June sighed

“You and me, we are done okay?” June said as Hayi widened her eyes

“Just because your first love came back, you’re breaking up with your girlfriend?” Hayi asked as she felt her face heat up

“The first time when we broke up because you cheated should have been enough of a lesson for me, it was a mistake taking pity over you and destroying my own life” June said as Hayi clenched her fists

“So that’s your reason? Why not just say you want to go back to Haneul?!” Hayi shouted as June looked at her

“I wish I could, but I’m not someone who will try taking a girl from someone else and make them feel like despite all the sacrifices they’ve made for them” June said as Hayi looked at him

“What do you mean?” She asked, angry all over her face

“...I know what you said to Hanbin tonight, and if that still doesn’t make me break up with you, I won’t be able to wake up tomorrow the same man I was” June said as Hayi looked at him

“It was my mistake when I thought that maybe, just maybe, we could live the love we missed and you even screwed that up...” June said as Hayi’s tears dripped

“Oppa I didn’t mean that okay? I—” she cried when

“I think that’s all I can say right now, bye Hayi...let’s not meet again” June said as he got into his car and drove away, leaving Hayi behind.

 

Hayi picked up her phone as she dialled his number, the guy for whom she started the whole drama.

“The number you’re calling is not answering the call—”

“YAHHHH” Hayi screamed in frustration as she felt her tear stained cheeks.

 

Haneul’s eyes shot open by Hanbin’s “B-day” ringtone

“My head hurts” she muttered not being even able to open her eyes because of the episode earlier

“Hey babe” Haneul shook Hanbin who was sleeping peacefully with his arms around Haneul

 

Hanbin, the guy who would not wake up anytime even if there was a concert going on around him (Facepalm)

 

“Oppa” Haneul woke him up as he opened his eyes a bit

“Yeah babe?” he answered as Haneul cupped his cheeks

“Your phone” she said as Hanbin looked around on the table from the bed as he got his phone just as the ringtone stopped

*1 missed called – Hayi*

“Is it papa?” Haneul asked rubbing her eyes as Hanbin shook his head

“Hayi” he said as Haneul felt her heart beat faster

“Why’d she call at 2am?” she muttered as Hanbin shook his head

“I’ll call her back tomorrow” Hanbin smiled as Haneul nodded

“Jagiya?” Hanbin called as Haneul nodded, not wanting to answer

“Are you not feeling well?” Hanbin asked as Haneul shook her head

“I’ll be fine” she smiled as she turned to Hanbin before slipping to her sweet slumber.
