Seeking

Time Flies

Mina couldn’t help but sigh heavily as she looked around the grassy field of the academy for her student. She hadn’t expected to see Chaeyoung in her class at all and she’d immediately frozen where she was standing when she’d spotted her in the crowd. She noticed the fact that Chaeyoung hadn’t made eye contact at all with her in the entire lesson, ensuring she was always looking away. She couldn’t help but feel upset by the fact that Chaeyoung had done so.

Her own thoughts went back to the past. What broke them apart still haunted her and she was never really given a chance to explain herself all those years back. She doesn’t blame Chaeyoung for not letting her explain though. With the way it was presented, Mina would’ve reacted the same way if she was in Chaeyoung’s shoes.

The hurt in Chaeyoung’s eyes was a memory she’d never be able to erase. She regretted everything she’d done in the one second she’d looked up and seen tears in her eyes. And it was all Mina’s fault. She’d hurt the one person she’d wanted to protect just because she was acting stupid – just because she listened to others instead of listening to her own heart. She should’ve listened to her own thoughts but her control was limited and she was too weak.

As Mina frantically looked around to get the slightest glimpse of Chaeyoung, she squinted into the distance to notice someone of similar build. Eyes widening in recognition, Mina walked towards the person with much nervousness in her stomach. While she’d usually appreciate the butterflies on any other occasion, with Chaeyoung the butterflies were nervousness because of fear and worry. Fear and worry of rejection and cruel treatment – one that she knew that she deserved.

“Chae?” Mina called out as she walked towards the tree she’d seen someone lean on.

“I’m sure you don’t have the right to call me that any longer.” Chaeyoung muttered coldly.

Mina sighed softly, not in the mood to argue in their current circumstance. “You need to go back to campus.”

“I’ll go whenever I want to. Now you can leave.” Chaeyoung added.

Mina nodded even though Chaeyoung couldn’t see her and walked the way she came from. She didn’t voice her feelings often but she felt like her heart just shattered into pieces from hearing Chaeyoung talk – as if she was void of any feelings. Mina’s shoulders sagged and she sighed heavily, muttering under her breath to calm herself down before she started crying. Sure, she deserved the treatment but didn’t she also deserve to explain herself? It wasn’t fair.

Chaeyoung didn’t want to talk in that tone but she couldn’t help herself not to. She was really hurt when everything happened and it’s an automatic reaction to talk dejectedly. She was observing Mina from far, noticing the change in her behaviour as she walked away. She couldn’t help herself but feel saddened by just looking at Mina stride further from her. She shook the thoughts out of her head as soon as they came. Chaeyoung was the one who was wronged so why was she feeling sorry for Mina when she was the one who hurt her in the first place?

As luck would have it, Jihyo had found Momo with ease in the academy food court. Her mind raced with things she could say and would say but she blanked out as soon as she reached the table where she was sitting.

“Yes Miss Park?” Momo said, rolling her eyes.

Jihyo couldn’t help but feel a little bit hurt as Momo called her formally. She asked for this but why did it feel like she was the one suffering between the two of them. She can’t blame Momo for what happened between them before she realised she’d made out with her own student. It was her fault; she should’ve asked Momo about her age earlier before they ended up at the back of the club. Sure, Momo was an adult and she wouldn’t go to jail but teacher-student relationships were usually frowned upon. She didn’t want to get Momo into trouble by pursuing her – as much as she really wanted to.

“Miss Park?” Momo called out, frowning a little bit.

“I’m sorry Momo.” Jihyo whispered before dashing out of the food court. Momo was left behind in confusion but she only let it last for a few moments. She could either stay and eat her food or chase after Jihyo to figure out what was on her mind. Deciding to choose the latter, Momo got up from her seat and bolted after Jihyo – glad that there were no other students in the food court at the time. It took her a mere minute to catch up to Jihyo and she pulled her into an empty classroom, pushing her against the door.

“Jihyo?” Momo called out as her hands rested on Jihyo’s shoulders, both of them breathing heavily.

“What are you doing Momo. It’s Miss Park.” Jihyo scolded, trying to sound authorative.

“You can’t use that on me Jihyo.” Momo whispered softly, cupping Jihyo’s cheeks.

“We shouldn’t – we can’t.” Jihyo pleaded, automatically reacting to the feel of Momo’s hands and seeking her touch.

“Just tell me Jihyo, do you want this?” Momo asked, eyes searching for the answer she already knew from the beginning.

“Yes, but–”

Momo silenced Jihyo’s pleas, placing her lips onto hers needily. Jihyo succumbed to her feelings, letting her hands rest on Momo’s waist as she pulled her closer. Momo lifted Jihyo by her thighs and she automatically wrapped them around Momo’s waist. Jihyo threaded her hands through Momo’s hair, tugging lightly as they continued to kiss against the door. Momo was the one to pull away first, letting Jihyo down as she buried her face in the crook of Momo’s neck, breathing heavily.

“We’ll make it work. All I want is you Jihyo. I wanted you from the moment I saw you at the club. I don’t care about anything else.” Momo whispered, running her hand through Jihyo’s hair.

“What about our classes? I don’t want to get you into any trouble Momo.” Jihyo mumbled against Momo’s neck.

“We’re adults now. I’m sure it’s not illegal anymore. This isn’t school, it’s an academy. The rules are different here. Sure, maybe we won’t be able to do anything as openly as I’d like to but if I could spend many moments like this one with you, I won’t care about anything else.” Momo reasoned. “Plus, you’re younger than me.” She added.

“Because me being younger makes things so different.” Jihyo scoffed.

“I – uh, it does!” Momo whined.

“It doesn’t.” Jihyo shook her head, a smile on her face.

Momo mumbled incoherently under her breath, willing her heart to beat at a normal rate. Jihyo watched her with an amused expression, eyebrow raised.

“Be my girlfriend?” Momo muttered.

Jihyo would’ve laughed at how cute Momo was being but she reckoned that it would seem a little insulting if she did.

“Hmm? What did you say?” Jihyo teased.

“I can tell when you’re teasing!” Momo groaned.

“I really couldn’t hear you that well.” Jihyo smirked.

“Fine. Will you be my girlfriend?” Momo asked, burying her head against Jihyo’s hair after doing so.

“Yes I will.” Jihyo chuckled, running a hand through Momo’s hair in comfort.

“You’re evil.” Momo mumbled.

“Glad you’ve figured it out already.” Jihyo added.

Nayeon whistled as she walked down a corridor of the academy. Hushed voices could be heard nearby and she frowned, wondering what it was about. She’d given up finding Jeongyeon long ago because she wasn’t bothered enough after half an hour of searching. She shook her head, so furious with the fact that she was going to have to teach the girl. She was expelled because of her lies that she’d fed the teacher in charge.

All she was doing was trying to get her friend to stop sneaking out of the school. Jeongyeon had seen her and lied that she was trying to leave. She was getting in trouble for something else and had pointed Nayeon out to the teacher who was in front of her. Her friend and her had both been expelled from the school for attempting to leave the premises. She didn’t know how but she’d ended up in high school with Jeongyeon too and the hatred for getting expelled years back had come up again and she’d ignored her entirely during high school.

She thought that the ignoring had affected Jeongyeon but she couldn’t really tell if it was all a façade, something that would trap her and get her expelled out of high school too. She couldn’t go through with it again after her previous time almost got her thrown out of her house. Nayeon had seen Jeongyeon at the school often but she’d ignored her so much that she no longer saw the short haired girl around. It was hard to admit but she’d missed her presence around her. She eventually forgot about her but the feelings came back as soon as she saw that Jeongyeon was her student in her class.

Nayeon followed the voices, recognising one of them clearly as she neared the supposed group of students. She gulped as she tried to listen in to the conversation without getting caught. Nothing seemed dangerous with the way they were talking to each other but the familiar voice seemed rather intimidating.

“Are you ever going to say such things again?”

“I asked, are you ever going to say such things again?”

“N-no.”

“Are you going to pass such things to others?”

“N-no.”

“Say it louder! I can’t hear you!”

A loud bang on the table and that’s all Nayeon needed to walk inside the classroom. Why was she not surprised to see the face that belonged to the familiar voice?

“What is going on in here?!” Nayeon shouted, eyes focused on the one student.

“Sorry Ma’am.” Two students mumbled, running away from the room.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Nayeon asked, disappointment evident in her voice.

Jeongyeon didn’t respond, looking away from her locked gaze with Nayeon. She packed her bag she’d left open and hung it over her shoulder.

“I’m asking you something Miss Yoo.” Nayeon pushed, getting annoyed with the lack of attention she was getting from Jeongyeon.

“Nothing.” Jeongyeon mumbled, walking out of the room before Nayeon could stop her.

Nayeon was about to shout at Jeongyeon, calling her to come back when she noticed something on the table. A picture of herself plastered on something disturbing and Nayeon could only wish she hadn’t looked in the first place. She frowned as she looked at the pile of papers, looking somewhat like flyers. What were the students of the academy up to? What was Jeongyeon doing in the classroom with the other students? And what did she mean by her words earlier; are you ever going to say such things again and are you going to pass such things to others. They couldn’t possibly be related to her, right?

Her own gaze flitted over to the floor, gasping as she noticed a trail of blood she hadn’t seen before. She followed the trail, seeing it go the opposite way of the students that were in the classroom.

Jeongyeon…”

A/N: A delayed update but I hope it's okay!
Decided to give a little background on Nayeon & Jeongyeon and also some JiMo for you guys ~
Mina and Chaeyoung still need to work on things between them though.

Sorry for any typos, this is purely unedited.

Chapter 17: I don't know how disrespectful Sapphire are to Saida shipper. But I have see 'a lot' of annoying Saida shipper. There's many of them told me to stop shipping Satzu because SaTzu are dead whenever I leave a comment on some Fan account post that posted about Satzu. They even leave a comment on Satzu fmv saying they miss saida and want saida. Also attacking a Once just because he is stating Satzu is the main couple of Twice on one of his video that make him sad. That kind of make me a bit disliked saida interaction even tho I don't want to ㅠㅠ
