Breaking

Time Flies

Sana sensed the anger that was radiating off Tzuyu as soon as the two of them got out of the car. She didn’t know what the cause was, but she headed towards something – or someone. Who was the girl? Sana couldn’t help but question.

“Sana, stay behind me please.” Tzuyu muttered, holding on to Sana’s hand tightly. Sana nodded, following behind her quietly.

“Yu!” Dahyun called out, standing up immediately.

“I think you lost the right to call me that a while ago.” Tzuyu seethed.

“Look Yu–”

“Tzuyu.” Tzuyu demanded.

“Yes, Tzuyu. I didn’t come here to stir any trouble, I promise!” Dahyun pleaded.

“I don’t know how you found my address or what you’re doing here but Dahyun, I advise you to leave – right now.” Tzuyu snarled, Sana gripping her hand tightly to comfort her.

This was Dahyun? The girl who had hurt Tzuyu to the extent of her failing to trust anyone around her? The one who caused Tzuyu to have nightmares in the middle of night? The one who caused her so much pain? Sana hated her presence so much, she’d be willing to kick her herself. How can she think she can just come back into Tzuyu’s life after tearing her apart and causing the chaos that she did? It was completely ridiculous.

“Who’s this?” Dahyun asked, moving closer to Tzuyu to get a glimpse of Sana.

“It’s none of your business. Get yourself away from my condo before I call the police. If I see you here again, I won’t hesitate to do so.” Tzuyu glared, placing her hands around Sana to hide her and protect her.

“Whatever Yu – I just came to talk.” Dahyun scoffed, rolling her eyes.

“It’s Tzuyu! Goddamnit. I told you, you have no right to call me that. And you came to talk? Talking is not a word in your dictionary! You ruin things and you use people. Then you throw them away like they’re trash! You came by all these years to talk? You could’ve done that years ago – why now?” Tzuyu shouted, scaring Dahyun. Sana wrapped her arms around Tzuyu’s waist tightly, effectively calming her down.

“I’m sorry.” Dahyun muttered.

“Sorry doesn’t cut what you did. You ruined my life and Mina’s! You think coming back and saying sorry will fix everything? Or anything? You’ve got to be kidding me.” Tzuyu scoffed, shaking her head. “Just leave. Now.”

Dahyun sighed but listened to Tzuyu, disappearing from her view. Sana finally let go of Tzuyu’s waist, holding on to her shaking hand.

“Do you want to get what you needed? I’ll wait in the car for you.” Sana suggested softly, cupping Tzuyu’s cheeks.

Sana saw her nod and go inside while she remained in thought about Dahyun’s presence. She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t worried – both, for Tzuyu and herself. She felt threatened with her return but she was more worried about Tzuyu’s mental state. Right when Tzuyu was having nightmares about Dahyun, she had returned, probably turning her life upside down. Whatever was settled, was now a mess.

Tzuyu came out of the house ten minutes later, sniffling, and Sana knew she was crying. She didn’t push for anything at the moment and let Tzuyu sit in the car. Honestly, she didn’t know what to say that could help her right now. The words were stuck at the back of so all she decided to do was reach over to hold her hand in hers. Tzuyu offered her a small smile, squeezing her hand in gratitude.

The drive to Sana’s place was quieter than ever; both of them were in their own world, thinking about similar things unknowingly. Tzuyu was worried about where things were going to go now. She knew Dahyun wouldn’t just stop because Tzuyu told her to. She would come back to talk to her and that could cause trouble for Sana as well. She didn’t want her to get mixed up in this and end up hurt like Mina. Tzuyu didn’t want the same thing happen to them, as it had happened with Mina and Chaeyoung.

“Did you want to drink something warm?” Sana asked as they entered her place.

“I wouldn’t mind. I don’t think I’ll be sleeping anytime soon.” Tzuyu sighed, heading towards her room.

Sana frowned concernedly as she watched Tzuyu’s defeated figure. She wanted to approach her and become the shoulder that Tzuyu needed to lean on but she was scared of the fact that she’d be rejected. She’s scared that maybe it’s not what she needed and she required to be alone. She absentmindedly continued to make hot chocolate for them both, stirring the mixture with no end.

“Sana?” Tzuyu called out, bringing her out of her stupor. She reacted too slowly, burning her hand with the hot liquid. Groaning, she ran her hand under the cold water of her tap, soothing the burn.

Tzuyu was by her side in the following minute, carefully tending to the burn. Where was her mind that she was so startled by Tzuyu’s call? She seated Sana down, grabbing aloe vera ointment and spreading it across her inflamed skin.

“What were you thinking about?” Tzuyu asked.

“I just got distracted.” Sana replied, brushing off her thoughts.

“Just be careful, okay?” Tzuyu mumbled, kissing Sana’s palm.

Sana nodded, offering a smile to calm Tzuyu’s worries.

“You don’t make it subtle.” Tzuyu chuckled, shaking her head.

“Huh?” Sana asked in confusion.

“I know you’re worried, but I think I’ll be okay this time around – especially since I have you around.” Tzuyu teased, turning Sana into a red tomato.

“Argh, don’t tease me!” Sana whined. “But I want you to know I’m there for you.” She added.

“I’m grateful for that.” Tzuyu smiled, kissing Sana’s forehead. “Now are we going to drink the hot chocolate you burnt your hand for?” She teased.

“Oh! It’s probably cold by now.” Sana sulked, standing up to get it.

“Let me get it. You stay seated.” Tzuyu muttered.

“Tzuyu, tell me what’s really on your mind.” Sana pushed when Tzuyu returned with the hot chocolate.

Tzuyu sighed, but agreed, fiddling with her fingers out of nervousness. She was thinking a lot of Dahyun’s sudden reappearance and she didn’t know what to make of it.

“I’m actually completely confused. I don’t know what to do.” Tzuyu admitted, running a hand through her hair. “I don’t want anything to happen when things were finally settling down.”

“Whatever you decide – you know what’s best for yourself.” Sana advised, not wanting to impose anything on Tzuyu. If she wanted to go to Dahyun, she was more than welcome to. She doesn’t want to be the girl in the middle of them. Even though Tzuyu hates her guts, there must be a part of her that still loves Dahyun.

Tzuyu stared at Sana, wondering what she meant by her words. She was being a little distant ever since their meeting with Dahyun and she was hoping things weren’t already turning sour. She got up, leaving Tzuyu sitting down in thought. What was going on in her head? What was she thinking about? Tzuyu was getting more and more worried when she’d just disappeared into her room. There was nothing she could about it, was there?

The nightmares were starting up for Tzuyu again and she lashed around in her bed, being haunted by the same thing every single time. Sana bolted up from her bed when she heard Tzuyu let out a scream, bursting into her room. She was by her side in the next moment, holding on to Tzuyu’s shoulders and trying to shake her awake.

“Tzuyu, wake up. It’s just a bad dream.” Sana called out, hoping to settle her down.

Tzuyu took in a deep breath, choking and sitting up. Her breathing was still erratic and heavy, sweat evident on her forehead.

“Sana?” Tzuyu whispered weakly.

“Let me go get you some water.” Sana said, turning to leave.

“No! Please.” Tzuyu cried out, holding on to Sana’s hand. Sana stood in front of Tzuyu again, cupping her cheeks as she refused to look up at her. “Stay.” She mumbled, leaning her forehead against Sana’s stomach.

Sana hummed, running a hand through Tzuyu’s hair as she decided to pat her back. She placed a kiss on her head, feeling Tzuyu slip her arms around her waist to pull her closer. It was a few seconds later when Sana heard the muffled cries and she couldn’t help but feel her heart crack at the sound of it. She continued to soothe Tzuyu, massaging her scalp and planting more kisses on her head.

A good half an hour later, Tzuyu’s cries had turned into sniffles and she had finally calmed down, separating herself from Sana. She laughed through her tears, whining about how she ruined Sana’s clothes but Sana just shook her head, wiping away her tears and kissing her forehead.

“Did you want me to sleep next to you? Do you think you could sleep better?” Sana suggested sincerely.

“Uh, if you don’t mind.” Tzuyu muttered, cheeks feeling on fire.

“Okay, let me just change my shirt and I’ll be back.” Sana chuckled, kissing Tzuyu’s cheek and skipping over to her room.

Tzuyu lay in the bed, feeling awfully shy and embarrassed as she waited for Sana. Of course, she was happy that Sana was willing to comfort her but what if she was a hassle to her? She doubted that Sana needed all of this extra burden in her life when she already had so much on her plate.

“Tzu-Tzu?” Sana muttered, ears turn pink at the memory. “Still awake?”

“Mhmm.” Tzuyu responded, turning over to her left.

Sana shuffled around the room, banging her foot against the corner of the bed and groaning in pain. Could she ever be able to not be clumsy in her life? She muttered curses under her breath, finally sliding under the covers of the bed.

“Are you okay?” Tzuyu asked, turning around to face Sana.

“Yes. I just stubbed my toe.” Sana sulked, collapsing against the pillow. “Now try to sleep, alright? Would you like me to sing for you?”

“You can sing?” Tzuyu gasped, nodding in excitement.

“Don’t stare at me though.” Sana muttered, blushing as Tzuyu gazed at her.

[what Sana sang in the SaTzu VLive]
Even if the freesias haven’t bloomed yet
Your scent still remains with me
When we meet again on a bright day
I’ll gift you those flowers

Oh freesia, oh freesia
Oh give me freesias

You said you’d give them to me
remember?
Those flowers aren’t just pretty flowers
To me their precious yellow flowers
Of that summer that linger in your mind

Oh freesia, oh freesia
Oh give me freesias
Oh freesia, oh freesia
Oh give me freesias.

Tzuyu was absolutely stunned with her voice, mouth gaping open in surprise. She couldn’t believe how talented Sana was in everything she did.

“I didn’t sing for you to be wide awake.” Sana chuckled, lying on her side to talk to Tzuyu.

“You’re so amazing.” Tzuyu complimented, making Sana hide her face in her shoulder.

“Shhh! You’re meant to be trying to sleep.” Sana scolded.

“Hmm.” Tzuyu sighed, turning the other way.

“Tzu?” Sana called out.

“Yes?” Tzuyu answered.

“Can I hug you?” Sana asked shyly.

“Yes, you can.” Tzuyu chuckled, pulling Sana closer.

Sana yawned as she woke up the next morning, stretching and feeling satisfied with the cracking of her bones. Noticing Tzuyu was still asleep, Sana slipped out of the bed quietly, not wanting to wake her up. It was nice to see her finally get some good sleep while she’s been going through an emotional roller coaster lately. She shut the door behind her as she padded into the kitchen, deciding to make breakfast for the two of them. She hummed to herself as she worked around, occasionally dancing with random movements. If someone saw her, they might think she was crazy early in the morning.

Her doorbell rang all of a sudden and Sana rushed to open it without hesitating, not wanting them to murder the bloody bell which would make Tzuyu wake up. Her eyes widened as she saw who was on the other side of the door and she honestly wanted to slam the door back and pretend she’d never opened it.

“Mum… dad.” Sana muttered.

Chapter 17: I don't know how disrespectful Sapphire are to Saida shipper. But I have see 'a lot' of annoying Saida shipper. There's many of them told me to stop shipping Satzu because SaTzu are dead whenever I leave a comment on some Fan account post that posted about Satzu. They even leave a comment on Satzu fmv saying they miss saida and want saida. Also attacking a Once just because he is stating Satzu is the main couple of Twice on one of his video that make him sad. That kind of make me a bit disliked saida interaction even tho I don't want to ㅠㅠ
