A soft squeal came over your lips as you tried to steady yourself on your heels, hoping that you wouldn’t be able to see the ground from up close. How could it be so hard to walk on these kind of things? If you watched other women do it then they all made it look so simple, but it was everything but that. A few days ago you had asked Amity to teach you how to walk on them, something that had made her even more happy than you agreeing to wearing a dress. You couldn’t believe that you had actually given into such a thing, after all you weren’t this kind of girl. But here you were, walking down the hall in pumps, unsteady, but walking. You quickly looked around and hoped that no one had seen that you had almost fallen towards the floor, but everyone seemed busy with their own thing. Relieved you continued your way and slowly left your room behind you, getting more and more exciting as your destination came closer in sight. There weren’t as much servants walking around the castle as there normally were, so it was quiet and the only thing you could hear was a soft muttering. Since a few days ago you had noticed some changes though, and you weren’t sure if you were very happy with them. You had seen a few of Baekhyun’s maids bow their heads for you as you walked by. Though they had always been kind and respectful towards you before they had never done that. 

But before you could ask them why they would do that they would quickly walk away, almost as if they were afraid to talk to you. You wondered if you had done or said anything wrong, if they were scared of you. But you weren’t the person to be scared of, they were wolves while you were a human, there was nothing for them to be scared of. In the end they would always be the one to win a fight, and that really bothered you. You weren’t used to being the weak one, to be able to be beaten and you hated it. That should be your next class, instead of waling aroun din heels, you wanted to learn how to fight. There would surely be someone in this castle who would give lessons in that. You reminded yourself that you should ask Baekhyun about it soon, but right now was probably not the right time. You softly hummed a melody as you trippled up the stairs, almost taking two of them at a time in the hope to reach the top sooner. Would people be able to see that you were a little bit too excited? The guard standing at the door shot you a slightly amused look and you couldn’t help but glare at him. You hated it that everything was so predictable over here and that everyone had figured you out. 

“He’s waiting for you inside of his room lady ___________.” He muttered and then just like everyone seemed to do these days he slightly bowed his head for you, which made you feel uneasy. “Thank you.” Was your short answer, feeling too uncomfortable to say anything else to him. He slowly stepped aside so that you could reach out for the door handle and open the big double doors. By now you were no longer that surprised to see his huge room, but you still couldn’t help but stare around, from the ceiling down to the floor. While your eyes were wandering around they landed on a man standing at the sight of the room. The light of the sun that was falling through the window was shining onto his face and he was squeezing his eyes slightly while looking outside. It was clear that he hadn’t heard you coming in because he wasn’t looking into your direction when you opened the door. “Hey you.” You muttered and saw how his face immediately snapped into your direction as soon as the first sound came over your lips. A smile came onto his face as he stepped away from the window and walked up to you. Before you could say anything he was standing in front of you and he grabbed your wrist so that he could pull you away from the door. 

With a soft click it fell back into the lock and you had already forgotten about the guard and the people who had been walking around in the hall. At this moment it was just you and him, there was no one else in this room, there was no one else around who mattered. “You’ve grown taller.” He said as he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you close against his chest. It had only been three days since he had confessed to you that he liked you, that he had feelings for you. And even though you still hadn’t returned those words to him and you still hadn’t found the courage to bring it back up again things between the two of you had changed once again. Right now he seemed to come to you for so many moments of the day, it was like he wanted to spend all his free time with you and that was just amazing. Instead if wanting to avoid him you wanted to spend as much time with him as you possibly could and you partly did that by showing up in his room occasionally. Over here the two of you could have some privacy, which wasn’t the case in the other parts of the castle. There would always be someone around and then you’d be too embarrassed to be this intimate with him. Besides, he was king, he shouldn’t be this close to a woman all the time who wasn’t royal, and surely not was who was human. 

“You better just complement me on trying on heels if you ever want to see me wearing them again.” While saying that you put on a sweet smile but by the look in your eyes he could see that you were serious. There weren’t the kind of things you wanted to be made fun off, this was hard for you so you wanted people to support you and to have respect for all the effort you were putting into this. “You’re doing great, I’m proud of you and I wouldn’t want to be standing in your shoes.” You pressed your lips together into a straight line as he said that and hit him against the shoulder but he just laughed. Sometimes it was hard for you to keep track of this guy, since he was a very serious person when he was at work and he was so relaxed when he was around his friends or you. Sometimes you didn’t know what kind of Baekhyun you were going to have to deal with.
